This guide will show you the easiest way of using cheats in AoD without having to install software like CheatEngine, either because you don’t trust it or the adware that comes along with it.

First thing’s first, a little info as to why I made this guide. I made it because there’s only one other guide covering cheats for this game so far. While great, said guide has a major flaw in assuming you will be using CheatEngine and only CheatEngine to manipulate the game. Of course some players don’t like using such software, preferring to use commands or development/debug menu’s that come built into the game, myself included. Because of this I decided to provide the easiest, and honestly safest, way of cheating in Age of Decadence that doesn’t involve downloading third-party software or modifying the files/file structure of the game.
BE WARNED! THESE CONSOLE COMMANDS WILL RUIN THE ENTIRE DIFFICULTY CURVE OF THE GAME, SO PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Alright, so to access the “dev menu” of this game, you’re going to want to press the tilde key. That’s the one right below your escape key usually.
It should look exactly like this.
From here you can enter any accepted commands, the majority of which you can find here on this Gamepedia page[ageofdecadence.fandom.com], at least from what I’ve seen anyway. Just place the appropriate values in the parentheses, replacing or removing the x. So dlgaddskillpoints(x) should look like dlgaddskillpoints(100) if you want to add a hundred skill points to your character, and so on.

And that’s it. That’s how to cheat, and potentially ruin your experience, in the Age of Decadence without resorting to software like CheatEngine, trainers of questionable repute, or file manipulation of any kind.
