Easy step by step guide to making desktop shortcuts for individual servers! With one click it will launch steam (if its not loaded), launch the game and connect to the server.
Instructions
Locate your CS icon, right click it and select “copy”.
Find a empty space on the desktop, right click and select “paste” to create a second CS shortcut.
Right click the new icon and select “Properties”
In the section for URL there is a box with “steam//rungameid/240”.
Erase that line from the URL box and replace it with steam://connect/YOUR SERVER IP HERE as demonstrated in the picture below. Click “apply” and “Ok” to save the changes.
If you dont know the IP address find the server in your server list and right click it, and select “view server info”.
Once that is done right click the new shortcut and select “Rename”
Rename as you wish and enjoy your new shortcut.
