CS:Militia for Counter-Strike: Source

CS:Militia

Overview

Tips to playing the map CS:Militia on CSS (Counter Strike Source).

Starting Off

As your scrolling down the list of games open, you’ll probably notice one that is playing the map cs:militia. You think this is probably a cool map to play on. Your right…and wrong. This guide will help you stay alive longer, while getting more kills every game.

The First Games

Once your in the game, you start playing like your normally would. You try to go get the hostages as a CT (Counter Terrorist) or protect the hostages as T (Terrorist). After dying MANY times, you start to wonder, “How on Earth am I supposed to frickin’ get good at this map?”

Beginning Tips

First off, NEVER try to run out and kill everyone. This tactic even I have used, has never worked efficiently. As the game begins…chill out. Calm down. As T, it’s preffered to let them come to you. As CT, tke your time. You got any enough time DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE CLOCK! Most of the time, the clock won’t matter because the round will have ended.

Second, try out all the weapons. You’ll find one you’ll like and most likely, be able to buy it every round. But, if you want to use the preffered weapons, I recommend M4A1 forCT and AK47 for T.

Third, AIM FOR HEADSHOTS!! This is the most important tip. If you don’t get a headshot, the gun fight will not be in your favor. Get used to aiming for headshots. Soon, you’ll get the hang of it and automatically go for the headshot.

If you follow these 3 tips, you will have a much better time playing this time (With the exception of always getting mad for one reason or another)

Pro tips

You have been playing the game after reading the beginning tips and trying to use those to help you and you still feel that your dying too much. This section will talk about pro tips.

First tip: Becareful around corners. You always wanna make sure you know where the main spots to look for people are. This can help you jump around corners and have a shot at already be aiming at the enemy. You can also do this by crouching around props and “head glitch” (Cod term; to shoot someone when they can only see your head) I put a couple of screenshots of where you want to look in later changes. These are the main spots.

Second tip: Watch the mini-map. Enemies will shoot and show as blue/red dots. Some guns won’t show them on the mini-map like the M4A1 because of the silencer that can be put on it.

Third tip: BUY A MIC! This will help you so much. You’ll be able to hear out your enemies that maybe behind you, or around a corner next to you. There’s not much else I can say about this tip. Just do it. Mics aren’t that expensive.

Fourth tip: Buy equipment. For this map, everything is recommended except for night vision. I’d use the smoke out front of the house, flash in the tunnels, and HE around corners.

The Map

I’ve noticed I didn’t include many things about the map and you guys saw it too. This section will talk about the specific map cs:militia.

So to start, when your CT I highly recommend staying away from the garage. Even though the hostages are in there, T’s tend to camp everywhere in there. This is the same for the attic. But, if you wish to go to those places, go right ahead.

For T’s, I’d just stay in the tunnels or the house. Everywhere else is slighty dangerous because CT’s alwys rush to the backyard or front of house. You’ll also have an advantage because you can plan out where the CT’s are, (Look at mini-map) and watch the entrances to the house. All the hostages are in the house, so they have to come in either to get you, or the hostages. The tunnels are good because the CT’s can only come from one direction. This means you can wait for them to come to you, then kill them.

Tricks

ATTENTION! All of these tricks I’ve given names to go with them.

Trick 1: Smoke Run
In this trick, as a CT you want to buy smokes and flashes. It helps if you can get a friend or too or jut the team to help also. You want to throw all the smokes out front of the house, then throw all the flashes. Because of the the distractions, T’s that are sniping or watching the front won’t see you. (Not Always) This gives you the chance to run in and flank the T’s.

Trick 2: Bathroom Watch
As T, you want to go to the bathroom and jump on the toilet. Then take out your knife and crounch jump on top of the bathroom door. The CT’s will probably never find you which helps you out when your last alive vs. everyone.

Trick 3: Rafter Corners
What you want to do as T is jump on the chest in the bedroom. Then jump on top of the bed. From the bed you can crouch jump onto a “rafter” (railing on the ceiling). This allows you to hide and shoot CT’s that walk in the room. People tend not to look up there, but some do. This also works in the room with the saw. (Where T’s always snipe) If you jump on the saw, you can take out your knife and crouch jump onto a rafter.

Have Fun!

I hope this guidewas any help to you. If it wasn’t let me know in the comments why and maybe I can make it better for you. This guide will have later changes, so if you don’t seen a tip that helps you, just wait, it might be there someday!
