Overview
Usage and technical document for the Custodian Mk2 Multirole fighter.
Description and Role
The Custodian is a high specification single seat fighter, which can fullfill a variety of roles.
The blueprint is available here: [link]
While primarily for operation in space, it’s capable of landing on planets and moons up to 1G.
With it’s onboard equipment, it makes an ideal scout, and is compatible with all other craft made by Barthos.
The small size means it’s compatible for docking with many other ships, and able to fit standard hangars.
Armament
The fixed gatling cannons are linked to the ships convayor systems, and in turn the connector. Additional gatling ammunition can be stored, the missile tubes are manual reload only.
Note: All weaponry has been rated at being safe to fire while strafing in any direction at 104ms.

Speed/Agility
Space flight:
This ship is capable of entering and leaving the atmosphere. For this, it has 5 atmospheric thrusters facing down, and 2 for forward thrust. While the main ION thrusters are operable for use in atmosphere, results will be diminished depending on the oxygen content.
It has 3 gyroscopes, and the mass of the ship is 28009kg.
Design Elements
The general use of this fighter is made far easier by improvements made over time. Below is just some of the design considerations incorperated into this ship.
- No muzzle flare from the weapons interfear with the pilots vision out of the cockpit
- Munitions fired from the ship will never self impact – tested while at maximum speed and strafing
- Emergency landing sequence which can be used on any moon or planet with gravity
- Menu bar specifically setup for ease of use, and carried throughout the Barthos ship collection
- Designed to easily fit into standard hangar sizes
Menu Bar Commands
Every ship designed by Barthos has a standard layout on the menu bars.
History and Overview
The Custodian fighter was originally named the Sentry.
With the various marks being in service for over 3 years in the UESC, after the 10th iteration the name was changed to ‘Custodian’. This name change was highly controversial however, as many pilots and deck crew disagreed that the versions should not go past mk10.
There has been over 200 improvements since the original mk1 Sentry was made, and the original having won the title of best fighter in the UESC competition. While none are in active service, a few still remain operational for ceromonial purposes.
The current class is one of the most functional fighters available on the workshop. There is no other ship which offers so much with the same size and low mass.
Combat abilities are a huge factor in the creation of this craft. The skirmish between a single mk8 Sentry, and 5 enemy fighters in 2068 is well documented.
With the release of the Hound class fighter, the Custodian no longer retains the top superiority slot for space. However, with it’s ability to land on planets/moons, and it’s own oxygen supply, this ship is a standard requirement for any expedition force.
