Overview
Change the resolution of all games of BIT TRIP (BEAT, CORE, FLUX and VOID)
How to change resolution All B.T. Beat, Core, Flux & Void.
In game you can change the resolution but only can select resolutions defined by developers, in my computer the resolution is not in the list. How you can change to custom resolution?
In Windows search bar, put “%APPDATA%” press enter and then after open a window go back one level (By default windows open “ROAMING” folder) Back one folder to open APPDATA and then enter to LOCAL folder.
Routes:
– BEAT: C:Users<name>AppDataLocalBIT.TRIP BEAT (it’s out of Gaijin Games folder)
– CORE: C:Users<name>AppDataLocalGaijin GamesBIT.TRIP CORE
– FLUX: C:Users<name>AppDataLocalGaijin GamesBIT.TRIP FLUX
– VOID: C:Users<name>AppDataLocalGaijin GamesBIT.TRIP VOID
Open the file CONFIG.CFG (inside this you can see this information)
Change this to your custom resolution (the game show black bars in screens 16:10, 21:9 and 4:3 but is the correct resolution)
Or you can edit this for window mode
On powerfull HW the FPs is too hi, so instead see the game normal at 300 FPs (for Example) you will see an accelerated game (not like fast forward, I mind, for example: the game runs at 60 FPs, when the square is at the correct place and you hit the button the’re a one number of frames on the game can take the square if you press the button, from frame 1000 to 1050, if the games run at 300 FPs then the laps is the same, from 1000 to 1050. At 60 FPs you have a 0.8 seconds to press, but with 300 FPs you have 0.2 seconds, so, more FPs more faster is this laps, but on low HW the VSync off can help to get better results if FPs is below to 100.
No, don’t do that. Why?. The game goes so fast (only frames) the music cubes literally go through the player’s bar even if the player doesn’t fail causing to lose points and show game over. So more FPs has the game more cubes will go through the bar.
Now save the file and play to BEAT, CORE and VOID in a custom resolution.
In game you will se (640×480) but don’t change this or you will need to edit again the file config.cfg. (you can put in READ MODE ONLY but is not necesary).
