Intro

Welcome to Cyberdimension Neptunia, an MMO Action-RPG based on the series. If you’ve ever played Action Unleashed or MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies then you’ll feel right at home except combat has been reduced to a single button.

If you’ve also played Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls then you might notice this game has a similar formula with quests needed to completed to move the plot except there’s no dumb time mechanic. Cyberdimesion mainly composes of quests than involving killing X amount of enemies, fetching X amount of items, defeating X boss and story related event to drive the plot. The main goal is to level up your Guild Rank to take on more challenging missions.

Anyways, there are NO actual missable achievements in this game (some might not unlock due to the Steam client despite fulfilling the requirement just like other Neptunia titles so be cautious). With that said, some achievements can be overlooked if you aren’t paying attention…………. and our old pal RNG is back.

New Game+ has been added in v1.0.5 (a year after its Japanese release) which now makes it possible to obtain all equipment in the game for completionist purposes……. or if you want to see all the events again and be OP from the start.

Since IFI loves cramming DLC characters into the Re;Birth titles from yesteryear how about finally making IF, Compa, Plutia, Peashy, Uzume and Tamsoft PLAYABLE for once instead of releasing waves of costumes and accessories.

As of the recent v1.0.5 update many of the glitches that have put Cyberdimension in a more broken state have been fixed (some still exist with more added on top). The kill count has now been fixed which allows Battle Master to be obtainable again. There’s also weird issues still with the Fancy Shop where certain costumes/accessories won’t appear if the game was updated on a prior save. I’ll still leave this procedure here to revert the game back to its original state just in case IFI breaks Battle Master again, any other achievement or causes the Fancy Shop to be empty

• Open the Steam console in your web browser: steam://nav/console
• Type download_depot 632350 632351 6853563032946142370 in Console and wait for the depot to finish downloading
• Type C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscontentapp_632350depot_632351 in the address bar to locate it and replace the files with your current ones
• This should revert the game from v1.0.4 back to its original state
• Be warned that you’ll lose your previous save which is why I advise doing the process BEFORE starting a new game so expect to start from scratch
• Now the Battle Master achievement should be obtainable

Tips:

Single player
– PRAY 50 times over the course of the game
– ALL achievements and items in the game can be earned offline. You DO NOT need to go online to earn anything in the game and there’s no exclusives items/drops
– You will not be penalized for dying in a dungeon although your current prayer will be lost
– Don’t bother upgrading most of the earlier weapons as the “Sweet Weapons” are much stronger for most of the game and require no upgrades
– Sturdy Armor series is worth upgrading and provides good DEF for a good chunk of the game
– Non-active party members DO NOT receive EXP
– Combos are actually important in the game especially when you obtain the Consecutive and Raging Waves Gems
– Tetyu Temple is a good spot to level boost early in the game even though you’re not supposed to actually go there in the story
– Demon King Jester is a joke if stand a few feet in front of him as he’ll keep trying to attack and miss with his diagonal fireballs
– Maximum Lv in the game is 200.

Multiplayer
– BUY Philosopher’s Stones (2 to be precise)
– Multiplayer has its own set of quests which mean you CAN’T play co-op during story quests
– Players CAN’T be booted from any room
– Region-locked
– Host dies = Instant game over which is why it’s important to BUY PHILOSOPHER’S STONES
– Potion of Protection DOES NOT work online although there are very rare instances where it will
– Mastering or being decent at animation cancelling is a must for high level play
– Stat boosting is also a must (permanently increase your HP by 3000 before jumping online to survive longer)
– Noire and the 4 Goddesses are OP as ****
– You earn 0 EXP if you don’t attack a boss at least once
– A Bosses Aggro Mode can be used to your advantage as they’ll usually chase 1 player throughout the match
– Expect level farming to be the norm
– A room is automatically disbanded if the mission is complete, the host dies or players within the room
– There appears to be a gltich where STR based skills do double physical/gaurd break damage while consuming twice as much SP

Just to save myself from headaches
– IF, Compa, Plutia, Peashy, Uzume and Tamsoft are NOT playable in any form. They are NOT DLC and they are NOT planned to be DLC as its already been a year since the JP release
– The quests Under the Sky and Phoenix Facsimile are BOTH at Hestie Crater and require the defeat of Mirage El and Volcerios. Just defeat one and RETURN to the dungeon to defeat the other.
– If certain achievements do not unlock it is NOT my fault but the Steam client instead. If an achievement doesn’t unlock despite meeting the requirements, PAY attention to see if it pops up and if it didn’t immediately exit the game from the menu and try again. If auto-save is disabled, save often at the Cathedral BEFORE attempting to unlock said achievement

Important

After defeating Big Dogoo at Alph Plains and visiting the Cathedral in Wishuel for the first time you’ll be able to pray. Prayers add various bonuses/negative effects while in a dungeon and remain active unless you are killed, exit a dungeon, complete a quest online or someone disbands a room before the quest even begins.

Available to purchase at the Chaos Factory once your Guild Rank has reached 3 or obtainable through other means (chests, quest rewards). Mysterious Keyrings unlock the green chests lying around in dungeons and that’s basically it. Mysterious Keyrings will be required if you want to unlock all the “limited” amount of costumes and all the accessories in the game.

After obtaining the Amethyst Glass, the party will learn how to Awaken. Awakenings can be activated once the Awakening Gauge has reached 1-5 and will slowly deplete once activated. Attacks are temporarily more powerful in this state and the gauge can be modified to fit your playstyle with the Faith Gem double the rate at which the Awakening Gauge builds or the Belief Gem which doubles how long an Awakening will last.

Awakening skills require the Awakening Gauge to be at Lv 3. Awakening skills are very powerful attacks but tend to miss if you’re too hasty. It is best to use them when the enemy’s guard has been broken for maximum damage or you can use them to break an enemy’s guard more easily (Big Metal Dogoo). I recommend trying to use an Awakening Skill when the Awakening Gauge is slightly above 3 as the gauge depletes to 2 very quickly making your attempt futile. As noted above, the Faith Gem doubles the rate the Awakening Gauge builds making it easier to pull off more Awakening Skills.

Available to purchase at the Chaos Factory once your Guild Rank has reached 3 or obtainable through other means (chests, quest rewards). Philosopher Stones automatically activate once you’ve been killed (up to 2 times max) giving about 3 tries before being booted back to Wishuel or out of online lobby. DO NOT equip them as they waste an item slot and activate on their own anyways.

Self-explanatory except most online players can’t get it through their heads that you NEED the stones if you’re hosting a match or are too underlveled to survive the EX Rank quests. Dying ONCE without having a Philosopher’s Stone will end the quest immediately even if you have a squad of Lv. 200 members backing you up.

They only way to revive the braindead AI in this game. Potion of protection revives all members of your team and grants 30% HP.

They cost 15,000 Bells each meaning you shouldn’t waste them unless you enjoy doing the online quest Wearing Steel dozens of times to get more without having to pay. They DON’T work online but will once in a blue moon due to the glitchy infrastructure.

Make sure to have the No Oversights or Heart and Soul Prayers active to increase the chances of getting the require drops from the following bosses

Stat boosing items are found in chests, through quest rewards or from boss drops throughout the game. The No Oversights and Heart and Soul Prayers increase the chance of getting stat boosting from bosses with the possiblility of getting 2 per run through luck or none at all.

Each character can only be given a max total of 100 items for each stat from 5 categories. The game DOES NOT keep track of how many items have been used or even give an indication if the max of 100 has been exceeded. It’s best to get 99 + 1 of the stat boosters in order to avoid wasting them (except Alph Wild Grass which is the easiet to get).

You’ll also start the game with stat boosting items from the free DLC provided although these items are under a different name even if they function the same. Also, they DO NOT stack with the Non-DLC stat boosters. 100 is the limit regardless if you have two sets of the same item (Hestie Fire Rock + Boiled Rock = 100 uses counted instead of 200).

After obtaining the Amethyst Glass and returning to Wishuel, the CPU Candidates will also receive the the treasure during an event and head back to meet the CPU’s at the same location. Simply talk to Nepgear in Wishuel to initaiate an event where the CPU Candidates will join your party.

After obtaining the the Amethyst Glass, there will be a Bouquet subevent with her standing beside the Cathedral.

After reaching Guild Rank 3 there will be a Blanc subevent at Wishuel.

Make sure Rom and Ram are Lv. 14 before accepting the quest Search for Him. Both sisters need to learn Patrinia for an event to appear at Alph Plains during the quest.

During the quest Giant’s Brandish there will be a story related scene involving Noire and Uni

After visiting Yiear Sea of Trees the first time for the Rank Up Quest Base of the Word Tree
once the party returns to Wishuel view Noire’s subevent

During the quest Magma Diver and event involving the CPU Candidates will appear

Learning Gem + Experience Gem + Serious Honesty Prayer (EXP 60%) is the best way to go at Unreal World during the end of the game. You can also get the process started early at Tetyu Temple with a Learning Gem + Free prayer that grants EXP 10% or Result of Effort Prayer (EXP 20%) for 15,000 Bells

Eyes of Nagia/Providence [DLC] + Silver Gem + Gold Gem are all required to maximize earnings from enemies. The best way to get this out of the quickly is to buy a Silver Gem early in the game from Pierre’s Emporium and buy a lot of Eye of Nagias once they become available at Chaos Factory as the Gold Gem will be earned much later in the game

Another alternative is to complete the Rank 8 quests Stone One’s Memory and Strong One’s Piece Both require 5 Monster Equipments and Armors which are also sold at Pierre’s Emporium near the end of the game. Completing each quest grants 2 Elegant God Stones which can be sold for 3000 Bells each (6000) + an additional 2500 for completing the quest. Just keep rebuying Monster Equipments and Armors while selling the Elegant God Stones

Blitmate at Logi Monutain is the first shot to get this achievement (provided you aren’t overleveled from Tetyu Temple) or the Metal Dogoos at Tetyu Temple make a good alternative (early in the game). Big Metal Dogoo is the easiest target early on as you can hide behind the doorway leading to the warp room as he’s too big to fit leaving him open for attacks

The first shot at this achievement is from Beaster Roll during the quest Search for Him as his HP is 117,218. If you couldn’t keep a combo chain going that long you’ll get plenty of chances later on in the game or easily once Potential, Assualt, Last Stand, Consecutive, Raging Waves Gems come into play
