Overview

Welcome to one of my favourite games that is known as Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc! I have created this guide in order to provide an in-depth walkthrough on the game to help those stuck or those aiming for a 100% or ‘A’ on the various Class Trials. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have a suggestion or questions.

Before we begin!


Because of the fact that this is indeed a ‘walkthrough’ do read at your own risk! I have tried to make this guide as in depth as possible without any spoilers for you to enjoy!

  • Use the guide index to help you, as this guide is probably the longest one I’ve written.
  • Names and such may be slightly different from time to time as this guide is based on a japanese translation that I have edited referencing to the wiki and made for the english version.
  • Kyoko pictures are used in this walkthrough in order to keep it spoiler free and give your eyes something sweet to look at.
  • This guide will also include the class trials from the condensed version: [link]

Prologue


There will be an opening, be sure to save after it.

School Life: ??? Classroom

  • Firstly, try and investigate the pamphlet that is on top of the desk.
  • Next, go over and examine the clock.
  • Take a look at the steel plates on the walls then go out into the hallway.

Once you are in the Entranceway Hall:

  • Walk/run into the entranceway hall for an event.
  • After listening to introductions of the other 14 students, there will be another event.

After the event, there will be a save point.

  • Go to the trophy room

Gymnasium:

  • After going into the trophy room for an event, interact with the door in front of you.
  • An event will appear.
  • After the event, a video will start playing.

Save point.

Chapter 1 – To Survive


Day 1 UNKNOWN

After an event, you will find yourself awake in your own room.

  • Investigate the desktop to obtain the “Room key.”
  • Interact with the poster on the wall.
  • Interact with the door of the shower room next to the monitor.
  • Interact with the drawer next to the bed.
  • Interact with the door of your room to move outside.

After leaving your room, an event will play when you enter the hallway.

Dining Hall:

  • Head towards the dining hall.
  • Talk to Sayaka.
  • Through reaction choose “What I want to confirm/Wanted to ask you something”.
  • An event will happen when you examine the clock.
  • Talk to Sayaka and listen to all Reactions.
  • Talk to Sayaka for an event.

Day 1 Night Time

Your room:

  • Interact with the door of your shower room next to the monitor for an event.

Day 2 Morning

After an event, go outside into the hallway:

  • Go to Sayaka’s room which is next to yours.
  • Through Reaction, choose “Favour”
  • Fast Travel using the Map in your eHandbook Menu becomes possible.
  • Go to the gymnasium.
  • Find coins in the headpiece and haniwa on the shelf.
  • Interact with the sword on the shelf where a shield and such are hanging.
  • Talk with Sayaka.
  • Choose “Dream” in Reaction.
  • After an event, make your way to your room.

Day 2 Day Time

Shower Room

  • Examine victim’s body, receive word bullet “Sayaka’s wrist.”
  • Examine wall behind the right side of victim’s body.

Own Room

  • Reaction “Bloody numbers” to receive word bullets “Dying message” and “Bathroom doorframe”
  • Examine door of shower room, receive word bullet “Bathroom doorknob.”
  • Go outside.

  • Examine name plates of own room and victim’s room, receive word bullet “Door Nameplates.”

Victim’s Room

  • Examine trash can.
  • Afterwards, go to audiovisual room and examine DVD deck for event.

Trash Room

  • Examine bars to receive word bullet “cleaning duty”
  • After leaving, when you talk to people you will receive hints on who is in charge of cleaning duty.
  • Talk to person in charge of cleaning duties (Yamada) and return once more to the trash room.
  • Examine incinerator to receive word bullet “incinerator.”
  • Examine the shred of white on the grounds of the incinerator, receive word bullet “Burnt shirt piece.”
  • Examine glass shards below switch, receive word bullet “Shattered Crystal ball.”
  • After this, go to the gymnasium and talk to the person in the center to update word bullet “Shattered Crystal ball.”

Kitchen

  • Examine knives hanging on the wall, receive word bullet “Kitchen Knife Set.”
  • After this, leave the kitchen to go to the dining hall and talk to the person there to receive “Aoi’s account”

  • Examine elevator door to begin the class trial.
