Darksiders- Grabbing the BFA Achievement.

You should unlock most of the achievements if you just play through the game towards the end so it should not be a problem what so ever but read this in case to be sure and be notified what you will need to do to unlock the achievements.

I am doing this in the order of how the Achievements present to me when I open it up on Steam. (Date of Unlock does not matter).

Advanced WARNING: I have known a few issues of having an achievement bugged and not unlocking so to prevent this issue ( if it occurs for you), Open Darksiders from the Steam Directory- Program Files -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> Darksiders and Run DarksidersPC as an Administrator. This issue is known to be on PC so this is how I solved it.

Achievement- Prison Break

1st Up, This is unlocked by releasing Samael from his prison. Nothing to hard, follow the game and it will work. You will notice 3 gargoyles sitting on a statue each with only 1 of them producing blood from it's mouth and the other 2 empty. Head towards the side of the 2 gargoyles and push them in foward which when done, Samael will be freed by your hands and (let's pretend) Samael awarded you The 'Prison Break' achievement for getting his tail lose and out of the junkyard.

Achievement- Death Dealer

2nd Up, This is a simple achievement and should be your 1st achievement you will get if you ONLY follow the gameplay and never looked to complete a secret achievement in the Prologue battle (Discussed Further Down) because after you finish jumping out of Seraphim Hotel, You will eventually met Vulgrim and obtain it.

Achievement- Like A Bat Outta Hell

3rd Up, Granted to you from Samael for defeating Tiamat and retrieving her beating lifestone also known as 'Heart of the Chosen'. Not a big problem to deal with.

Achievement- One Tough Cookie

4th Up, As always, you get it just from progressing through the game, Samael rewards you this because he can see a many things from his prison. Quoted like a boss :D

Achievement- Rocked Your Face Off

5th Up, Just defeat the Griever and it will do. Enjoy watching the beatdown the Griever receives from War.

Achievement- Ashes to Ashes

6th Up, Defeat the Stygian and of course, Samael gives the reward to you for punishing the worms of Ashland and stealing it's Heart.

Achievement- One Mean Mother

7th Up, Screwing Silitha over and Samael will give you the award because he possibly dislikes 8 legged females with many creepy babies that bite.

Achievement- Payback's A B****

8th Up, Again, just continue to beat them up and Samael will reward you once again because you were doing his bidding all the way since the start.

Achievement- The Final Challenger

9th Up, Beat the Game's Boss and Samael will give this to you for making it that far even though Uriel will take it from you cause you did the nasty but who cares.

Achievement- You Call That Easy?/Balance Restored/A True Horseman

10th/11th/42nd Up, These are awarded for completing the game on Easy,Normal and Apocalyptic. The Achivements stack meaning if you were to finish Apocalyptic first game then you will also unlock the Easy and Normal difficulty achievement along with it. Nothing too hard, I finished 1st with Easy then Used AA to finish Apocalyptic then realised it stacked after achieveing A True Hoseman.

Achievement- To Move A Mountain

12th Up, No problem with this at all, go through the game and once you get the Earthcaller gear, Samael will award you for collecting your first gear.

Achievement- Who's Counting

13th Up, You are awarded this from Samael for 'plucking' more pigeons than Ulthane so technically, you need to kill more Hellguard Angels than Ulthane during your Match Up that was rudely interrupted by Uriel.

Achievement- Reach Out & Touch Somebody

14th Up, You need to Collect the Abyssal Chain during your travels in the Iron Canopy which will come to you when you progress through the section.

Achievement- Into The Void

15th Up, Collect the Voidwalker and it's all done. Most of these Achievements are awarded when you progress through the game so if that is the situation for the achievement, I will note down as 'Progress through the game in ____'

Achievement- Elemental Thief

16th Up, Progress through the game in Twilight Citadel. Collect the Crossblade.

Achievement- Sight Beyond Sight

17th Up, Progress through the game in Eden and it will be given to you when you first enter. Collect the Mask of Shadows.

Achievement- Devastator

18th Up, You need to Kill 10 enemies with one Blade Geyser Attack. I would recommend to have BG at least level 3 and the best place to grab this is in the Iron Canopy in a room where many little spiders/broodlings appear and wait for them to group up then activate BG and it should work.

Achievement- Tremor Bringer

19th Up, Progress through the game in The Hollows. Collect the Tremor Gauntlet.

Achievement- An Old Friend

20th Up, Progress through the game and finish defeating The Griever and a cutscene will occur which Ulthane will reward you with Mercy. Collect Mercy.

Achievement- Reaper

21st Up, Head to Vulgrim and Buy the Scythe from him for about 1000 souls and this achievement will unlock. Buying The Harvester will also work but it will permanantly replace the scythe for the whole game.

Achievement- Aerial Predator

22nd Up, For this one, you will need to Kill 160 enemies on the Angelic Gryphon. The easiest way to do this is to use Keyboard+Mouse since you can aim easier with the Mouse (some are better with controllers).

Achievement- Full Power

23rd Up, For this one, You need collect the Maximum amount of Lifestones there is in the game which will be a total of 10 Lifestones. More of this can be discussed in another guide that I will release soon that is detailed about collecting Lifestones.

Achievement- Wrath of War

24th Up, Like the same above, You need to collect the maximum except this is for Warth Cores instead. Another guide will also be released by me discussing about Wrath Cores and collecting it.

Achievement- Wrath Machine

25th Up, All you need to do to gain this one is to collect all of the 4 wrath moves, Only level 1 of the Wrath move will do, there is no need to get it to level 4 which is a good thing for us.

Achievement- Reunited

26th Up, Progress through the game in Ashlands/Leviathan's Drift. Obtain Ruin.

Achievement- Don't make Me Angry

27th Up, Progress through the game in Twilight Cathedral and a cutscene will apear later on with Samael revealing a fact to War about his Decimation Form. Collect the Chaos Form Ability

Achievement- Chasm Jumper

28th Up, Progress through the game when you first enter Scalding Gallow. Samael will give you the ability to fly/hover to help you continue with the game. Gain the Shadowflight Ability.

Achievement- Legendary Form

29th Up, To gain this one, you will need to collect all 10 of the Abyssal Armour Piece which will then form into an armour upon completion on the 10th collect. I also have a guide written on obtaining the form and finding the pieces. Collect the Abyssal Armor Set.

Achievement- Time Lapse

30th Up, Progress through the game and finish The Hollows which on return, Samael will grant you the power of Chronomancer to allow you to pass into the Ashlands without being devoured.

Achievement- Battle Hardened

31st Up, To get this, You have to Max out all weapons and unlock all combat moves. So Chaoseater, Scythe/Harvester and Tremor Gauntlet to level 4 and have all moves for all 3 weapons bought and upgraded to the highest if there is a level system. It will take a while but the reward is worth it to you if you surely want to gain the BFA achievement.

I needed to make a Part 2 because the 1st scetion reached it's limits of words to be place in.

Achievement- High Flier

32nd Up, To do this, you have to kill 5 Duskbats without touching the ground. Easiest way to do this is in the Shadow Arena where you have to kill 30 enemies using Instant Kill and Duskbats will appear at the start and you will need to take your time to plan this carefully. Tips from me is to fly using Shadowflight after you have finished using Instant Kill on one Bat and fly to another, take the time to turn the camera around and find your next target while the animation is playing.

Achievement- Improvised Kills

33rd Up, This is a hard one and will take a while to get but you need to kill 150 enemies with items from the environment (Cars, Poles, Lamps, Signs etc.)

My tip is to use environmental items from the start at Crossroads and also inside the Seraphim hotel, I have no idea if the Prolouge Kills count as well but I did to be extra sure.

Achievement- Open Air Parking

34th Up and the last, This one is missed by a lot of people when they start the game because they get caught up with the action too easily and they lose focus of it. What you are looking for to get this achievement is a helicopter flying in the air during the prolouge part. This is once in a game time chance to get the copter, there are no other chances provided to get it unless you start a new game slot. After breaking through the pipe when you first turn into Chaos Form, You should be able to pass through the pipe and you will still be in War's Decimation Form so you will need to manually change back to his Regular/Nephillim form by pressing LB+RB (My way and the xbox way, I use the xbox controller because I have played on it with Xbox and it feels more comfortable) and grab a car or any vehicle and aim after you have turned owards the back to look for a helicopter, aim correctly and preferrably aim a bit foward in order to hit the copter just a bit more accurately.

Achievement- Treasure Hunter

1st Up, To get this achievement, you will need to open/search 150 chests. Should be no problem because you would open a lot of chests in the game.

Achievement- Horseman

2nd Up, To get this one, you will need to get kill 150 demons on horseback. So ride on Ruin and destroy as many demons as you can, should be easy since the damage nearly doubles up riding horseback.

Achievement- Slayer

3rd Up, You will need to kill 666 demons to gain this and it will be no problem gaining this.

Achievement- World Raider

4th Up, Vulgrim will award you this for collecting all 27 Artifacts of the Legion. There will be a guide soon on discovering this.

Achievement- Rivers of Blood

5th Up, No problems with this one, You just need to keep on killing and killing. Shed 3000 Gallons of demon blood.

Achievement- Dark Rider

6th Up, For this one, it will take a long time and patience, there is already a written guide for achieving this but it is not by me so tkae a check on it and support it. Ride for 100 Miles on Ruin.

Achievement- Ultimate Blade

7th Up, Progress through the game and collect all the Armageddon Fragments/Shards. Forge the Armageddon Blade

Achievement- BFA

8th Up, Of course, after collecting the rest of the achievement, you will be awarded this!
