Acrocanthosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
A formidable predator and a rival to even the apexes, acrocanthosaurus was the dominant predator of its time. While it is similar to other carnivores like allosaurus and giganotosaurus, there have been some injections on official servers, indicating it may be a candidate for survival.
Albertosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: No
Survival: No
The only dinosaur to never be officially added to progression, albertosaurus has an uncertain future in the game. Like the acrocanthosaurus, it is too similar to the allosaurus to be viable in survival. It will most likely be an AI in the future.
Allosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
A middle tier carnivore, allosaurus has always been popular with the community ever since its original release. Therefore, it is no surprise that this creature has made it into survival. Although its appearance has changed drastically through the years, its newest model is sure to be an eye pleaser.
Ankylosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
An armoured herbivore from the late Cretacous, ankylosaurus will most likely be included in survival. Its hard shell and intimading posture will deter even the largest of carnivores.
Austroraptor
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
A fisher from South America, the austroraptor should not be underestimated due to its small stature. However, it is currently uncertain whether it will be included in survival or not.
Avaceratops
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
Originally intended as a stepping stone from the small Psittacosaurus to the larger armoured herbivores in progression, the Avaceratops has little purpose in the survival gamemode. It will most likely serve as an AI.
Baryonx
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
The smallest of the spinosaurids currently in game, the future of baryonx is in jeoprady. It is currently fighting with the larger Suchomimus for a niche in the survival gamemode. The winner will be a playable, while the loser will be an AI.
Brachiosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Sandbox: No
A large sauropod from the Morrison formation in the United States, the brachiosaurus is an iconic dinosaur. The brachiosaurus is intended to replace the Puertasaurus at some point, although that time is unknown. While it most likely won’t be playable in survival, it will probably be an AI players see as they wander the map.
Brontosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
While a model of this creature was shown, it has been several months since then and no new information has been given. Even if the brontosaurus were to be added, it would most likely be an AI.
Camarasaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
Although much smaller than Puertasaurus, the Camarasaurus is still too large to be viable for the survival gamemode. It will most likely be an AI.
Carcharodontosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Intended as a DLC skin for the Giganotosaurus, there has been no word of this creature being added to the game at all in months. It would most likely not be added to do covering a similar niche as the giganotosaurus.
Carnotaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Sandbox: Yes
A fast runner from South America, the carnotaurus specializes in hunting small prey on survival, such as gallimimus, utahraptor, dilophosaurus, and juveniles of larger species. However, it sacrificed power and turn radius for this speed, and thus stands little chance against large dinosaurs in a fight.
Ceratosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
Once mocked for its poor attack and slow speed, the ceratosaurus is a force to be reckoned with in survival. Its power rivals that of even apex carnivores. Being slow yet strong, the ceratosaurus will bully other dinosaurs like carnotaurus, utahraptor, and dilophosaurus off of their kills before enjoying the meat that they stole.
Compsagnathus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Originally intended as a starter carnivore before velociraptor in progression, compsagnathus was scrapped after the survival gamemode was announced.
Corythosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Delayed for years, the Corythosaurus was eventually scrapped. Interestingly, its model was used as inspriation for the model of Parasaurolophus.
Dakotaraptor
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A recently discovered member of the raptor family from the Hell Creek formation, the Dakotaraptor was scrapped due to being unable to compete with the Dakotaraptor in Saurian.
Deinosuchus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A large crocadilian to rival even the apexes, the deinosuchus is expected to hit the game sometime in the future. It will never stop growing, meaning it could grow to monstourous sizes. Whether it will be strictly an AI or find a viable spot in survival remains a mystery.
Diabloceratops
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
A large ceratopsian from the Midestern United States, the Diabloceratops is a devil in name, appearance, and nature. While it may appear a docile herbivore at first, it should not be underesteimated. Able to take on even apexes, the Diabloceratops can also run down any juvenile carnivores that it deems a future threat.
Dilophosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
An early jurassic hunter, an experienced Dilophosaurus can pose a threat to almost any creature. It has superb bleed, which it uses to launch surprise hit and run attacks on its victims. It also has superior nightvision to all other dinosaurs. This allows it to access potential prey and possible predators from a safe distance, without ever being spotted.
Dryosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
The Dryosaurus has certainly made several strides forward from the defenseless and unplayable wreck of the early isle days to what it is now. Although the smallest dinosaur to be added to survival, it has the ability to act as a sentry for large herbivores, and can hide from potential danger in a moments notice. Its burrowing mechanic allows it to easily hide from larger predators.
Gallimimus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
A fast ornithomimid, the Gallimimus outspeeds its predators on survival. However, it acheives this high speed by having one of the weakest attacks for a herbivore.
Giganotosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
Only rivaled by the Tyrannosaurus rex in survival, the Giganotosaurus is a deadly predator that strikes fear into its prey. With high bleed and raw power, it can engage even the largest and most dangerous herbivores in hit and run attacks.
Herrerasaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
A small predator from the Triassic period, the Herrerasaurus may end up being playable in survival. A vigilant scavenger, it would climb trees in order to avoid becoming a meal itself.
Kentrosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A smaller stegosaur, there has been no word about if Kentrosaurus would be added to the game or not since its model was released. Even if it got added, there is no guarantee if it would be playable in survival.
Maiasaurua
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
Although the smallest of the hadrosaurs added to the game, the Maiasaura is still a force to be reckoned with. A powerful blow with its head can leave any small predator stunned or killed. However, the Maiasaura also has incredible speed to get out of a sticky situation.
Monolophosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Intended to be one tier below dilophosaurus, there has been no word about whether the monolophosaurus will still be added to the game. If it did get added, it would be forced to compete with Dilophosaurus for a niche as a small ground predator.
Orodromeus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
This small and slow herbivore reveals the future to come for most other creatures without a viable niche in the survival gamemode. The creature has become an AI, and can be found scattered across the land in small groups.
Pachycephalosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
The Pachycephalosaurus is a small and agile playable in the survival gamemode. Its headbutt attacks allow it to deal with smaller predators like Utahraptor, while its speed allows it to outrun the likes of Allosaurus. It has always been rather weak since it originally came to the game.
Pachyrhinosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Although not in the game yet, the Pachyrhinosaurus has been confirmed to be in the survival gamemode. With the large dome on its head, it will most likely charge through predators and inflict severe bone-break. It will certainly be a powerful creature to be added to survival.
Parasaurolophus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: No
Survival: Yes
A medium sized hadrosaur from the United States, the Parasaurolophus is not much of a fighter compared to other herbivores. However, its kicks should not be underestimated. One blow can stun a predator or even kill it. If the predator is much too fiersome though, the Parasaurolophus will not hesitate to flee in the opposite direction.
Plateosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A prosauropod from the Triassic, there has been no word about the Plateosaurus since its model was initially released. While it is a large dinosaur and would be viable for a survival dinosaur, it would most likely be an AI, considering it would have to compete with other large herbivores for a niche in survival. Little else is known about it.
Protoceratops
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A small ceratopsian from Mongolia, Protoceratops was shown off the same day as Plateosaurus. There has been no word about it since its initial showcase, however. It will most likely be an AI, as it has no unique abilities of note.
Psittacosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
Psittacosaurus is one of the smallest creatures in game, and will not be featured as a playable dinosaur in survival. It has met the same fate as Orodromeus has, wandering around as an AI for predators to eat. Small and slow, it makes easy prey.
Pteranodon
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
The Pterandon was revealed during the early months of the isles existence. However, little news had been heard of the creature for a long time. However, a new model of the creature was shown and the creature may indeed make a feature in the game.
Puertasaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
Although removed in the past before making a comeback, it seems that the Puertasaurus’s days are numbered. Not only will it not be playable in survival, but it will be replaced at some point by the Brachiosaurus. It will be sad seeing one of the original six dinosaurs added to the game be gone for good.
Quetzacoatlus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
Teased since the first days of the game and made playable for a few weeks for testing, the Quetzacoatlus was eventually scrapped due to the many bugs and challanges it added to the game. While several mods have tried to bring the creature back, they were all deleted.
Rauisuchus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
An ancient reptile, the Raiusuchus was featured, but there has been no news about it since. It will most likely be an AI in survival.
Rugops
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
The rugops was intended to progress up to the carnotaurus, replacing the majungasaurus in the roster. It was never added to the game, and is most likely scrapped, or intended to be an ai.
Shantungasaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
One of the largest hadrosaurs ever discovered, the Shantungasaurus was one of the original six dinosaurs to be added to the game. However, it has no unique qualities, and will thus be probably limited to AI in survival.
Spinosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
A large African spinosaur, the spinosaurus will most likely be added to the survival gamemode. Its formidable size and semi-aquatic nature will prove useful when fighting the other large carnivores in survival.
Stegosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
A large stegosaur from the Morrison Formation in the midwestern United States, the Stegosaurus will be added to survival. Its spikey tail and armoured plates will help it defend itself against the large carnivores of survival.
Styrachosaurus
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A ceratopsian from North America, the Styrachosaurus has so far seemed to be scrapped from the isle in favor of other ceratopsians. However, there has been some talk of possibly adding it to survival as a playable in the future.
Suchomimus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
The suchomimus was a large spinosaur from Africa. While smaller than Spinosaurus, it was still a formidable hunter. Suchomimus is an aquatic playable in survival, able to hide in murky water before ambushing its prey. It has become a fan favorite and a meme over the years, and its main rival is the Allosaurus due to their similar prey.
Therizinosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
Therizinosaurus was an odd looking dinosaur from Asia. While it has menacing claws and looks unique, it will most likely be only AI in survival.
Titanaboa
Sandbox: No
Progression: No
Survival: No
A large snake from South America, the Titanaboa seems to have been scrapped for now. Even if it was added, it would most likely be AI due to its slow lumbering nature.
Triceratops
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
An iconic ceratopsian from the Hell Creek Formation, the Triceratops is one of the dinosaurs in the survival gamemode. Its large size deters most threats, but it will use its large horns if necessary to gore its attackers.
Tyrannosaurus
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
An iconic therapod, and a famous carnivorous dinosaur across the globe, the Tyrannosaurus was one of the first dinosaurus to be added to survival. Its size and power make it virtually untouchable at adulthood.
Utahraptor
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: Yes
The Utahraptor, with its agile but powerful demeanor, was added to survival to serve as a pack hunter. While alone it may be a weak scavenger, in a pack it can take down even the largest of foes.
Velociraptor
Sandbox: Yes
Progression: Yes
Survival: No
The smallest carnivore in game, the velociraptor is not a candidate for survival. It has no unique abilities and will serve as AI in the survival gamemode.
