Hello, So on this mini guide i will tell what are the essential mods, not the best mods but the essential. This guide will be updated from time to time, so if you want me to add a mod comment in the comment section. Cheers, Válter

UI Improvements

– Sort Inventory

Sorts inventory by weapons, equipment, food, etc when you press z.

– Simple HUD

Hovering over the health icon will show your maximum health capacity. When you stop hovering over it, it shows your current health. Very simple, neat and clean.

– Assisted Geometry

When you are building or planting the mod will automatically attach you to an INVISIBLE grid.
Your base will be nice and symmetrical and you’ll be happy again.

– Minimap HUD

Adds a minimap to the HUD

– Season Clock

Have you ever been playing and have no idea how long it is until the next season? How many days into the current season you are? Or what season was up next? Never fear, this mod should help.

Gameplay Changes

– Auto ReTrap

Upon picking up a trap:
*If a trap is empty, it will go into inventory.
*If a trap has an animal, it retraps the same spot, without going back into your inventory

– Action Queue

This mod allows you to queue a sequence of actions by holding SHIFT and dragging the mouse, forming a selection box enclosing all your targets. This allows you to automate the process of picking, harvesting, chopping, digging, shaving Beefalo and many more repetitive tasks, by simply selecting all your targets and then sitting back (offensive actions such as attacking are not performed, to avoid… accidents).

Note: You can also use this mod in Reign of Giants.

– Dawnbreak

Adds a period of Dawn after Night. Dusk is halved in time.

Item Changes

– Painted Signs

Adds 4 colored signs to the structures tab.

Note: They are colored on the map as well.

– More Realistic Honey

This mod allows you to cook honey over a campfire to get a fresh unit of honey. Also, instead of turning into rot, it will now turn into a new prefab, “crystallized honey”, which doesn’t spoil and can also be cooked over a fire for a fresh unit of honey. Eating crystallized honey without cooking it first will cause a slight sanity loss and it has a hunger value that’s about a third of normal honey.
