My guide is many tips and tricks to help you in the mean world of the Misery mod.
Stashes
For stashes in Misery 2.1 there is a large range of useful supplies that can be obtained.
#1 Go on a Stalker Call of Pripyat interactive map. Going on these maps lets you find the vanilla stash locations. You may be thinking ” Why the h@ll would I need to find stash locations for the vanilla when I am playing Misery”? To answer this many of Misery’s stashes have the same locations of the Vanilla game. However all the stashes have had there loot changed. But it can still be profitable. There are though many new stash that the Misery developers have added in the mod. For example Alun’s stash. He has 3 backpacks in Zaton full of loot. Here is a link to the Interactive maps, [link]
#2 Look on all the sources you can find! I have found forums of Misery stash locations and have even found tips here on Steam! So far the the Misery stashesI have found is Aluns stash, and the 3 or four backpacks in Shevchenko. Here is Alun’s stash guide, [link]
Cash
Money is the main thing that keeps you alive in Misery. For example, if you didn’t have money you couldn’t eat. If you did not have money, you would not have ammo, or armor, or repairs, etc. Here I am going to tell you different ways obtain cash
#1 Stick with groups. What I have heard and what I have done is stick with a large group of NPC’s. What you can do is follow these guys around for a while and loot whatever they shoot (dat rhythm dou) I remember I was with a well equipped group of Stalker in the beginning of the game and they went to the Sawmill and they shot all the zombies, killed a couple of controllers and ran into a pack of 20 dogs. That really helped me with my money problem.
#2 Kill everything and anything. Remember that group of Stalkers that were at the Sawmill? Yaa I killed those guys, and took all their ♥♥♥♥. As they were walking away with their head’s turned I got them. So far the best way to make cash right now is Kill everything. Think about it, they have a Primary a secondary and some other random ♥♥♥♥. They also can have some rare guns. If you would like to do this tactic then just when there heads are turned pop them in the head. You can also sometimes get extra loot on quests. A great example is the quest where you have to save those guys’s buddies in Yanov. What I did on this mission is wait for the group to attack. Let them kill all the guys, and then kill all of them. Doing this check out how it paid off.
With this type of money look what I got my hands on.
Fixes
Fixes in Misery (changing the code) is a smart and rather simple way to have the game be in your favor.
#1 Fixes in Misery is when you change the code of the mod too be in your favor, for example I have 3 times the stamina, I made my self rarely hungry, and I increased my HP regain. I am not going to tell you how to change this code. Here is a couple links helping you with this. [link], go to question 14 [link]. But remember this mod is based off the same code so you can also search for Stalker Call of Pripyat cheats. But make sure you always copy the file to your desktop if you ♥♥♥♥ up the code to crash the game every time or something.
#2 My last few tips are very simple but important. Make sure when downloading Misery 2.1 you click ” play Rookie mode” this make’s things cheaper, more stamina more health, etc. My last tip is to go into your settings and turn off a few of the setting like Hard CORE AI aim, battery drain, and theres one that takes the face mask off the screen.
