Trainers/Masters

Trainers
There’s an achievement for each. The list:

Goku
Vegeta (Gattick Gun / Final Buster / Shine Shot / Final Flash)
Krillin
Piccolo
#18
Gohan & Videl (it’s a duo)
Hercule
Gotenks
Ginyu
Frieza(unlocks after completing ginyu mastery)
Cell
Beerus(unlocks after completing goku mastery)

You can check progress with them in ‘play data’ via your menu. You can change mentors whenever you want, you just have to find them around Toki Toki City. They have level requirements, and I’m pretty sure you don’t get access to them until you encounter them in the story.

Dragon balls

Finding Dragon Balls In Dragon Ball Xenoverse

The only method I’ve found to getting the Dragon Balls is by fighting random Time Patrollers throughout Parallel Quests. They appear in a few areas but this is the easiest way to farm it quickly. You will need to have the 3 star rank unlocked in order to do this mission.

Go to the 3 star Parallel Quests menus and pick the Fierce Battle! Ginyu Force! Now you need to know in order to keep the Dragon Ball you do need to beat the mission so don’t leave if you get one! Pick your team and start the mission. Right at the start of the mission use your scouter to look for a randomly named Time Patrol guy in the first area, if you do not see one click retry and look again. Once you see the figure go talk to it and fight it. Once you win it will say you got a Material Item or a Key Item. The Key Item is the Dragon Ball, you normally get two items form these fights. If you don’t get a Key Item retry again and fight the Patrol guy again. Make sure you don’t beat the mission within 5 minutes or else you may have to fight Frieza which will keep you in longer. I can normally farm 4-5 Dragon Balls from here alone before they stop giving them.

Now after you stop getting them you need to do one of two things. First thing is doing a few missions to reset the area. I’m not sure if this is needed or not but I went off and did 3 missions because I fought a guy about 15 times and he didn’t drop any more Dragon Balls. Another thing I had to do was switch to my character. I was using SSj4 Gogeta(Yeah I know I’m being a baby) and I think the game realized I was wasting them WAY to quick. Once I switched to my guy I fought the Time Patrol dude and the Dragon Ball dropped on the first try!

You can also find Time Patrol dudes in other areas like Kami’s Lookout and the Pod landing place the Raditz comes from, but these aren’t as consistent as Capsule Corp. There are also missions that you will have to fight Time Patrol guys on. The Explosion Of Namek and Burst Open and Mix! are two examples that have Time Patrol people to fight, you need to do the bonus objectives to get them.

Once you have the Dragon Balls go to the Plaza Of Time and put them shrine in the center of the area.

Exp Farming

pq 53 is usually the most common method of leveling up new characters

solo-simply enter and collect dragon balls than exit for a cool 10k exp

as ssj or with a party-enter kill broly hope he respawns kill again and leave for a cool 50+k exp

Character creation and stat points

How to build my character
Ive seen a ton of people asking this question and im hoping to shed some light on this

Female have higher Ki and Stamina recovery rate, but lower health;
Males have higher Normal Attacks and longer lasting buffs (from items and abilities), but their special attacks are weaker. And apparently your height might influence your stats as well (but I haven’t tested this):
The taller the character is, the higher the attack power, and the lower the movement speed.

Saiyan=Ki spammer
the whole point of going saiyan is for the ssj it enables you to spam ki blasts with no real fear of running out of ki with that in mind if you wanna just murder every pq and story mode minus 1-2 that have multiple high level enemies ie gotens pq you want to take full advantage of this

Loadout
Maximum charge-self explanatory helps get your ki up quick able to use it after landing a ultimate to stay in ssj form

some form of escape method or guard block for when strikers or kaoiken users rush you usually tied to evasive skill

one mastered ultimate from the trainer or source of your choice

equipment
gokus GT garments seem to give the highest bonus to the stats you want but your looking for anything that gives a boost to ki blasts and health preferably

stats
100ki blasts
40 ki
100 max health
this is the most basic build no matter where you end up 100 ki blasts and around 40 ki is uaully ideal however the stat point can be spread around

Freiza race
Ive tried several different builds on this character as it was my first and found overall a non kaoiken striker/basic attack build to be the best namely because of their speed an paralyze ki blasts it allows you to paralyze rush in get a couple of basic attacks and than finish with a large strike ultimate

loadout is whatever you like however it should include arm crunch via nappa which gets through blocks I havnt had much time to shop around for skills as im still finishing off all my pqs before really diving into it.

after some testing victory rush seems above and beyond the best strike ultimate

equipment is to the same effect of your overall goal which is health basic attack strike supers

stats
100 strike supers
100 basic attack
40 max health

lastly will be the kaoiken user
this build I am currently using on a human but is built around the kaoiken 20 skill in order to maximize the damage caused by basic attack

stats
100 stamina
100 basic attack
37 health

loadout
rise to action is a must it allows you to use ki which is otherwise useless to you and turn it into stamina your bread and butter
arm break via nappa again to get around those pesky blockers
kaoiken 20 the namesake
lastly I have tried a couple fighting poses and was otherwise unimpressed but will have to spend some more time on them same goes for ultimates

this concludes what I have gathered in the building and respeccing of characters I have played Im open to criticism as well as any insight but if you like me you like to have a goal in mind when creating a character so you dont find yourself having to farm dragon balls for a hour or so to respec them when you could get so much cooler shtuff out of your wishes I hope this helps

How to level new characters

for the best experience possible I have found running pq 53 until about lvl 50 using the online quest lobby to find a party and hoping to complete with ultimate finish getting the ultimate finish is usually aroun 60k exp after hitting lvl 50 you should have the stats needed to be able to clear the great apes pq without much help this pq is very quick and gives about 3 levels per 2 runs up until the mid 70 at which point it drops to 1 lvl per run I have used this strat to level 6-7 lvl80 characters
