Dumb Ways To Die…

Overview

¯_ (ツ)_/¯ Newtons third law

Newtons Third Law

When two bodies interact, they apply forces to one another that are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction.

grappling an object or an anchor point (The station around you) with a fully charged “push” will send you in the opposite direction, mainly towards the nearest incinerator or processor when you miss that little fragment floating right in front of you….

Watch for the mass turning red instead of yellow, when hovering over an object

Fuses’ (and keys’) FTL Drive

Take your grapple pull a fuse close to you (without ramming it into your helmet) and then try to pick it up.
The fuse (or key) will will activate it’s built in FTL drive, and insta-kill you before sending your body into the incinerator or into the nearest wall…

Tractor Beams

When conserving tethers and moving multiple large heavy objects over to the processor, the second your pinky toe grazes the edge of the beam (the red outline signaling imminent death past this point),
your timer has started.

[Red zone]
you now have exactly 1.5 seconds before you get ripped apart (0.5s of which, you can pull yourself out or push the adjacent wall to put yourself to a corner).

[Zone of dead]
Be careful not to panic because you are already dead…

and no, you can’t grab(with your hands) the walls around the processors and incinerator to pull yourself out

Explosive 3 pointers

Don’t try it

Flame and Fur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur—- (For potatoes)

-You filleted (fill-ayy-eduh) your ship, the nanocarbon exterior is gone, leaving only the aluminum skeleton in once large piece.
-You, logically, think to use up all your tethers pulling that massive bit into the incinerator
-4 minutes later it finally crosses the red line and you start getting money
-Your GPU accelerates…
-More and more of the metal skeleton enters the incinerator
-Your GPU accelerates…
-Your GPU accelerates…
-Game starts to slow down
-You realize your mistake..
-Your GPU accelerates…
-You use your remaining tethers to try to pull it back out
-Tractor beam too strong
-Your GPU gets ready for lift off
-There is no stopping it now
-Your keyboard is unresponsive
-Your Mouse is unresponsive
-GPU approaches mach 1
-Game is frozen
-Music continues
-GPU approaches light speed
-OS tries to report unresponsive program
-A tear rolls down your face
-Game crashes
-GPU exits light speed
-Start game again
-Your ship has been deleted, you get no money
-You start again……

Just cut it in half next time…

Basic personal safety (Mainly the electrical parts)

We all love a good bit of that singed, metallic taste, we get when electricity flows through our space suit, but too much electricity can cause heart failure and and heavy fines for damaging LYNX Corp. equipment(you)

Things to think about when pulling out Electrical parts:

1. Is my grapple beam ready to yeet this thing into the nearest wall? |Everything|
(make sure not to pull out the electrical equipment(moving mouse away) it will be in a more damaged state than taking it normally, or explode…)

2. What does this red light mean? |Fuses|
(Red means when you pull the lever the fuse’s Volts will gently hug you and take 50% of your health as payment (without electric resistance upgrades). Make sure you time it correctly)

3. Batteries don’t taste very good |Everything|
(Make some distance before you pull out an electrical bit. 90,000 Volts aren’t gentle on the lips)

Things to think about when pulling out Explosive parts:

1. I wonder how many seconds I have until this reactor Ex—|Reactors|
(I don’t know if it has an exact time, but the more damage it has the less time you have. Open the floor or ceiling, grab a tether, and make a nice gentle, gauss tube aiming for the Barge)

2. Why is it leaking?! S H O U L D I C U T T H I S P I—|Everything|
(Don’t panic, it won’t stop anything from painting the ship in a fresh coat of worm(you). When there are pipes connected to it, you need to disable something else, follow the pipes, do the dew, prevent rapid heat expansion…)
(When you activate the emergency reactor release
A: Surrounding things will heat up, could explode.
B: DON’T YOU DARE CUT THOSE PIPES YOU DEGENERATE ARSONIST wait until it’s done)

Things to think about when using tethers:

1. I know how to use tethers….
(you know how to use tethers)

  • it’s not done
  • it’s not done
  • it’s really not done
  • it needs videos
  • it needs pictures
  • it needs more…
