Ember Drug Addiction

Overview

This guide will give you tips to easily beat the game.

Introduction

Ember isn’t a hard game to beat. It seems hard after you leave the tombs but once you know the game mechanics it becomes a cake walk. If you don’t want to read the in depth analysis there is a short version called “Short Version TL:DR”

Short Version TL:DR

1. Craft Ironskin, Intellect, Berserk, Dexterity, Vitality, and Strength potions. Use all of them on hard fights. That’s it.

2. Extended short version: Update to the latest armor and weapon in each zone. Corra Immolate spell can wipe large group of monsters. Eating food that give you a buff for 5 minutes is a good idea.

Long Version

Ironskin potions is the key making hard fights easy. It boost your defense very high making you almost impervious to damage. One potion will buff the entire team. To make the fight short I also drink Berserk, Dexterity, Intellect, Vitality, and Strength potions. As well as buffing each character with food before a major fight. I drugged up all the way.

There are crafting guides on Steam Ember section. The only thing I crafted in the game are potions and foods.

Corra immolate spell is very good at destroying or weakening large amount of monsters. Immolate stack meaning multiple casting do extra damage. The problem is mana. To migrate mana drain I suggest finding rings and Amulet with Second Wind ability. Which grant mana back for each kill. Corra doesn’t have to kill the monster to trigger the effect.

Two Hands weapons are much better until you get the one handed Light’s Awakening (from a very hard quest fight) which is the best sword/weapon in the game and allow you to carry a shield. I use Light’s Bulwark (bought it from City Of Light armor smith) shield but a slightly better shield can be crafted.

Having heal spells save you from sleeping every other fight.

Most zones will have merchants selling weapons and armor to match the level of the zone. It is best to upgrade to the latest equipment as soon as possible.

I use two fighters and one mage on my team.

Silence ability prevent mage from healing or casting AOE.

Stun ability is good to migrate damage.

Use the space bar to pause the fight. You don’t need to fight in real time all the time.

You don’t have to fight every enemy you run by. You have an option to not fight the enemy by running pass them. They have a small aggro radius so they won’t chase you to the end of the earth. This is a very good strategy near the end of the game when you trying to free the Goddess.

Use Quick Save (F5) after each battle.
