What are Awesomepoints?
“Awesomepoints” are a new addition to Awesomenauts. These points are the ingame currency, which are used to buy almost everything (more info in the next couple of sections). Awesomepoints cannot be bought for real money.
How to get Awesomepoints
Awesomepoints are obtainable through five different ways. Which are as follwing:
First time you join the game, you will get prompted with a turorial. If you complete both the basic and advanced tutotial, you will earn yourself 2000 Awesomepoints. You will only be able to do this once.
When you finish a “co-op versus bots”, you will earn Awesomepoints. (As far as i know, the points you earn are based on how long the match lasted).
Like when you play “co-op versus bots”, you will also earn Awesomepoints when finishing a “versus player match”. (I believe that the points here are also based on how long the game lasted).
A very good way to get Awesomepoints is to level up your profile. You will level up your profile by just playing games; both “co-op versus bots” and “versus player match”. These are the following levels you will be rewarded with Awesomepoints, and how much you will get:
Level 1: 1250 Awesomepoints.
Level 2: 1250 Awesomepoints.
Level 3: 1250 Awesomepoints.
Level 4: 1250 Awesomepoints.
Level 5: 1250 Awesomepoints.
Level 7: 1500 Awesomepoints.
Level 10: 2500 Awesomepoints.
Level 35: 7500 Awesomepoints.
Every Naut will earn you the same amount of Awesomepoints at the same level, which are as following:
Level 5: 500 Awesomepoints.
Level 10: 1000 Awesomepoints.
You are able to recruit your friends by giving your code to them. When your friend reaches profile level 8, you will recieve 1000 Awesomepoints. (You will get your personal code when reaching a profile level of 5).
Bonus: When ten of your friends, who have used your code reaches level 10, you will recieve the “Legendary recruitment master portrait”.
What to use Awesomepoints on
You have earned a lot of Awesomepoints, and you are not sure how you can spend them. I will now cover all the ways you will be able to spend the Awesomepoints.
Awesomepoints are only used to buy new Nauts and customisables. Neither of these bring any tactical advantage to the game, they do only spice things up a bit.
Every Naut is unlockable by buying them with either Awesomepoints or real money. Even Nauts from previous DLC packs can be bought using Awesomepoints. One Naut will cost you up to 7500.
Profile Portraits is used to customise your profile and stick out from the crowd. These Portraits are only unlockable by using Awesomepoints or completing challenges. They only change your Portrait, and nothing else. The different Portraits can be found ranging from 500-20,000 Awesomepoints.
The Droppod is the vessel that you spawn and respawn, when you are dropped from the sky. You can also see the Droppod after character selection at the loading screen. You will also be able to see other people’s Droppods here.
A price list for each of the Droppods can be found in the What to use Droppod parts on section.
What cannot be bought for Awesomepoints?
Not everything is buyable with Awesomepoints. There are specific items which you are only able to get by using real money. Non of the items give any advantage to players who buy them, they are only for cosmetic purposes.
The two types of content include:
The Announcer is the voice that you hear while playing. You can customise the voice by buying a new Announcer.
Nauts have different skins that you are able to buy using your real money. Some skins only change the appearance, while other also change the animations and visual effects as well as the sounds the character makes.
What are Droppod Parts?
Droppod Parts are like a currency, which is only used for buying Droppods. A Droppod is the pod you are falling down from space in, right before the match starts, and after you die, and drop back in to the game with.
How to get Droppod Parts
Currently there are two ways of acquiring Droppod Parts, which consists of leveling up your Nauts and your Profile.

I own all Nauts, what now?
So at this point you have unlocked all the Nauts, and you are wondering what you can do with all the Awesomepoints you have stored up or getting from now on. Following are all the current things that you can spend your points on.
You are able to costumise your profile by buying new profile portraits. These portraits will be shown to you in the top right corner, and to everyone when you are in a lobby with friends, join a game, and on the scoreboard.
To find more information on prices and how to get portraits, go to What to use Awesomepoints on.
When you have all the Nauts, you can still buy the Droppods. When you buy a Droppod, you not only have to use the Droppod Parts explained in the What are Droppod Parts section (to find out how to get these points, go to the How to get Droppod Parts), you also have to use AwesomePoints (you can find more information about these in the AwesomePoints section.
