Overview
This guide will be about the second level introduced to Paint The Town Red. This time, we’re focusing on the disco level. If you want to see the other guides, make sure to head to the bottom of the page. After this will be the Prison level, A.K.A, the first level added to the game after release. After that, more will be made in tandem with any newly released levels. The disco level is one of the first two levels made for the game. It has 51 enemies in the level. Moderately less than the Biker Bar.
The Main Parts
Firstly, lets talk about the main things present in this level that stand out. In this level, there is a little more uniqueness present.
Like the last, there are two bosses in this level. The first:
If you go to the left side of the club, and go up the stairs at the right, you will come to this room, where the Yakuza boss will be sitting with 3 bodyguards. His bodyguards are a fair bit tougher than average enemy (3x Health). This includes the one at the door, the one at the bar, and the one behind the desk.
(The bodyguard at the bar actually won’t engage in the riot until you walk near him, hit him, or there are few enemies left. This is also true for an enemy in the bathroom.)
Just like the Biker Boss, the Yakuza Boss will draw a weapon, and his guards will attack. The only difference is he will draw a katana from the back wall which cannot be stolen beforehand. The sword is the most powerful melee weapon in the game (as of writing this).
The Yakuza boss is an extremely tough enemy (15x Health), and also, is the only enemy in the game that can’t be dismembered. To compensate for his huge amount of health and damage, he will never run. Killing him will get you the katana, and is currently the only way to obtain one, apart from sandbox.
Walking into this area before starting the riot will start it.
At the right side of the disco, in the corner, is this character. The Pimp boss will also not react to anything until he is hit, or until the amount of enemies left gets low. This boss is somewhat tougher than the average enemy (5x Health), and just like the Yakuza boss, he is also carrying a unique weapon that can only be acquired in this level, and sandbox. (The Walking Cane)
Also unique to this level is the three enemies with weapons that will rush into the club to attack you four minutes after the riot starts. These enemies are members of the mob so they have the same qualities as the others.
Alternatively, they will appear when the total amount of enemies reaches seven (Including these three).
They will come through the entrance from where you leave after the riot ends. Two will be carrying nunchucks, and one will be carrying a baseball bat. They’re very aggressive from the start, so it’s advised to be on the lookout for them.
The Secret/Not So Secret Weapons
Like the last, there is a few weapons to be found.
Here’s the rundown:
(Note: Nunchucks are actually a unique weapon to this level.)
(Note: There is normally four, but as shown here, sometimes the ones in the toilets can fall through the map.)
This is the last of the shurikens.
The Closing Notes
Out of the three, this is probably one of my favourite levels so far, with the prison right behind. You can see the niches slowly pop out as time progresses.
