Overview
There’s many ways to increase the amount of EXP you get per fight. But how do they interact with each other? In the name of SCIENCE, let’s find out!

Global Multipliers
- EXP Up Plan (0.3x)
- Super EXP Up Plan [Paid DLC] (5.0x)
Character Specific Multipliers
- EXP + Lv5 Chip (0.3x)
- Coupling Gain EXP + Bonus (0.25x)

The Setup
To test the EXP Values, I went to Cat Knights at EM ES Magma cave as it’s a popular grind spot, and there is zero encounter variance, each fight is always the same with the same amount of EXP. It allowed me to test the values given while grinding my characters.
This is the base amount of EXP gained in a fight with no EXP up plans. This is the minimum amount of EXP.
EXP Up and Super EXP Up
This is the amount of EXP gained from EXP Up Plan.
1129354 is conveniently 868734 x 1.3 (rounded down)
This is the amount of EXP gained from the Super EXP Up plan AND the EXP Up plan.
5473024 is 868734 x 6.3
This is 1.0 + 0.3 + 5.0x the base amount.
Character Specific Multipliers
Ok, so neither the + EXP chips nor the coupling effect show on the results screen, so we have to resort to the stat menu and some basic mathematics to get our numbers this time.
The first image on the left shows the EXP before, and the second shows EXP after.
The amount of EXP gained from Lv5 chip + Super EXP Up + EXP Up is 7114931
This is around 8.19 times the base rate, or (1.3x + 5.0x)*1.3x
Now we’ll do the same thing, this time I used blanc for her EXP Gain coupling skill.
8483187 is the final value. This is with Super EXP Up, EXP Up, lv5 chip and EXP Coupling Skill
I couldn’t quite figure this out at first, but it’s (1.3x + 5.0x)*(1.3x + 1.25x)
Well, since I didn’t know for sure what the formula was, I went to do one more test.
This is the result after the next fight, with the lv5 EXP chip removed.
The amount of EXP from this fight is 6841280, or 7.875x (1.3x +5.0x)*1.25x
