Just a short guide showing the gear I used to defeat Saehral and the final confrontation as well as tips to defeat Qua’Lon on Hard mode.

How to defeat Saehral
First, here’s a 5 minute video where I explain all the gear I used to beat Saehral:
Resistances are pretty important but in case you want to defeat both Saehral and Qua’Lon in Hard mode what you really need is Speed.
There are 3 ways to increase it:
– Grapes of Alacrity → 10.000 coins at the Colosseum,
– Puffin Feathers that grant +1 SPD when you augment any piece of armor → 800 coins at the Colosseum. You can find 3 feathers in various chests.
– The Timekeeper accessory which grants +2 SPD → 5.000 coins at the Colosseum. It can also be purchased, for the same price, in previous stores.
Of course, it is also important to don’t overload your character according to his Build.

How to beat Qua’Lon on Hard mode
Even harder than Saerahl is Qua’Lon, but only if you face him on Hard mode.
He doesn’t have nearly as much health as Saehral does, but he can literally wipe your whole party out with just one hit.
Facing Saehral, you needed to have really high resistances, but rules change when you’re facing Qua’Lon. What you need to have in order to defeat him is speed. Give any Grapes of Alacrity you can get your hands on to Chaska and remember that the Timekeeper accessory grants you 2 more SPD. As an example, I can tell you that I raised her SPD up to almost 26 and that it was enough. I also used both Sparks of Creation on her.
This is the strategy I used against Qua’Lon to defeat him:
Mostly, you need to be careful with Qua’Lon’s Last Stand of the Fey Lord attack, which will deal 10.000 damage points to all your characters. Even though the attack can be survived, if you block it with a character that’s got more than 10k HP, it is of the utmost importance that you prevent him from launching the attack every time.
The way to do it?
Humiliating him.
Before Qua’Lon’s able to launch his Ultimate attack he needs to charge himself. Once he does it, he’ll launch the attack on his next turn, so make sure you use either Chaska’s Humiliator or Sullivan’s Equalizer on him to stop it. That means you need to have at least 25% of Chaska’s endurance filled at all times.
Another thing Qua’Lon will do regularly is strip you of all your buffs and MP. When he does that, I recommend using an Ether, specially with Claret, so that everybody can keep attacking Qua’Lon as if anything had happened.
The key to defeating Qua’Lon, however, is not preventing his attacks but rather debuffing him, constantly. Even though you may think you don’t need to, use Alda’s Majesty on him as many times as you can, as well as Humiliator and Equalizer even if he isn’t charged, and lower his STR anf INT as much as you can with Sullivan’s Battlefield Pressence. You can also use his Inspiration to ensure your turns.
Lastly,another important thing to do is cleasing your characters from all possible debuffs he applies on you. Alas, keep in mind that you’re probably not going to be able to use Renew often, due to Qua’Lon’s draining attack, so it’s best to cleanse each character individually.
And that’s all, if you do it like this you’ll defeat him eventually. Use Claret’s Eliminate and Chaska’s Distracting Strike to ensure your victory!
