A fun collections of runs you can try out!
1st Recon Run

1st Recon Playthrough. Get Boone as a follower. Wear your First Recon Beret and NCR armor of choice. Think light armor. Use rifles and pistols, preferably scoped. Bolt action is generally what you want, too. Suppressors Optional. Do the NCR ending. Karma: good or above. Cannot kill any NCR personel. Cannot steal. No Power Armor.
-Note, to obtain your Beret and Boone, you must do Boone’s Quest,in Novac.
-To obtain NCR gear without killing NCR personel or stealing; you may loot one that is already dead.
-Rules to govern the above are optional.
-As stated, a possible place to find NCR gear is Ranger Station Charlie. There is a related quest in Novac.
-Unique weapons are allowed. Remember, your pistols are sidearms!
-No energy weapons.
-As a general rule, no drugs.
-I don’t recomend filling out your other Follower spot.
-If you’re playing Hardcore Mode, and Boone dies, then I suppose you’re on your own?
Anti NCR Run
The Pirate 23:
Currently I’m doing a run where I kill as many NCR as I can before the reputation reset at the Lucky 38, the only caveat is I cannot kill Cassandra Moore or Dennis Crocker. Everyone else is fair game, and then after the reputation reset, I have to do the NCR ending. This doesn’t work well with the Legion, so I don’t recommend it.
In short, kill all of the NCR Troopers.
Car Salesman Run

Not allowed to up any active combat skills
Not allowed to buy anything from an NPC unless you are making at least double the caps required to buy the items back (I.E. buy a 400 cap item, therefore the trade must be done in such a way that 800 caps are made and the item is received)
Must take all NCR money whenever available
THE COMPLETIONIST RUN
This is a hard one. Permadeath, with either the Project Nevada or the J.Sawjer Directors mod installed, Hardest difficulty and hardcore mode on. Perma death. Collect EVERY ITEM in the game. Every armour, weapon, ammo, grenade etc. Complete as many quests as possible, kill all the NPCS that require to die. Every side quest, EVERY SINGLE THING.
Repair EVERY WEAPON AND ARMOUR BACK TO MINT CONDITION.
FAILING TO COLLECT A UNIQUE WEAPON OR AMOUR DUE TO A QUEST REQUIRES YOU TO EITHER STEAL IT, TAKE IT BY FORCE, OR SUFFER A MASSIVE PENALTY. PICK ONE FROM DOWN BELOW.
INABILITY TO CHOOSE THE PEACEFUL ROUTE.
INABILITY TO USE V.A.T.S.
-100 CARRY CAPACITY
-100 HIT POINTS (280/280 BECOMES 180/180)
GET HATED BY EITHER THE NCR, BROTHERHOOD, OR LEGION.
INABILITY TO USE DRUGS.
CANT USE HEALING ITEMS.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE TAKEN A PENALTY, YOU CANT TAKE THE SAME ONE AGAIN.
If you aquire all the penalties, you also lose.
Do all the DLC’s, and good luck. No tips from me this time. I had it at 3/4 with no penalties. But then a random series of mini nukes appeared.

The Drunken Wreck Run
Drunken Wreck Run:
“Have you ever been so drunk, you got shot in the head and buried alive, then forgot to die? I haven’t, but the Courier has.”
From start (after tutorial) to end, stay in a perpetual state of drunkenness, immediately downing another drink when notified that the last drink has worn off (pauses while fast travelling, waiting, or sleeping are okay). Any free booze you come across in the Wasteland must be taken, and other items must be jettisoned first if you get overencumbered.

The Explosives Run
Explosives only, no Energy weapons, and well…. thats about it. For people who like stealth, this will be a challenging run.

Just kidding. This run is designed to make it a very wierd experience. You will have to quickscope, (Zoom in for a maximum of 3 seconds). Consume any Alchohol and Cigarettes (Just keep them in a specific container, the cigarettes, im not sure if they are consumables) immediately and always choose the most aggressive option.
All you need is LUCK: 10 and AGILITY:10
All other stats is personal choice.
Snipers and throwing knives only.
Use the Wild Wasteland Trait.
The Green Fingers Run
You are only allowed to pick up growing plants. And trade. No looting, just don’t take anything.

Notes: This is ment to be both a unarmed and guns build based on the Heavy weapons guy from Team fortress 2 who wields a minigun shotgun and his fists also i took alot of thought into this little run you can do the perks above the “Notes” are main perks for these reasons
Swift learner gives you a little bit more experience to help you level up a bit
Bloody mess is for +5 damage and people turning into just a torso
Commando is for two handed weapons
Life giver is for +30 hit points (Very useful)
Locations for some guns that you might want to use with this build:
Minigun: Novac, kill the nightkin killing the brahmin at 12:00PM or 1:00AM or the C275 Avenger found in The devils Throat next to a dead prospector.
Shotgun: (Optional) Found sometimes on fiends and Legion troops some also spawn on powder gangers, Note: You will get a sturdy caravan shotgun if you get the Couriers stash in perfect condition.
Fists: On your arms
Brass knuckles and anything that counts as unarmed is allowed to be used.
(Jeez…. nice job man! I couldnt be bothered to make all of this effort!)
The ‘Merica Run
MERICA! ♥♥♥♥ YEAH!
This is…. why….. how…..
What the goal of this run is, to blow sh*t up. You hate the Legion (Legion = Red, Red = Communism). And will do anything to kill them, while helping the NCR to build what was once the greatest nation of them all.
Special is up to you.
TAG skills: Guns, Explosives and Unarmed.
No melee weapons, no snipers or suppressors. Also, you cant sneak or use energy weapons.
This is supposed to be one that goes off with a “BANG”.
Use all addons, beacuse you want as MANY explosives as possible. Also, get a minigun 😉
The Mad Tribal Man Run
STR: 10 (EXTREME destruction with unarmed and melee)
PER: 7 (See enemies from afar)
END: 10 (Indestructible meat tank mode activated)
CHR: 1 (You’re a butcher not a charmer)
INT: 1 (Funny dialogue options)
AGL: 10 (Faster chopping and more vats hits
LCK: 1 (Crits are for wussies)
Traits: Wild wasteland. Tags: Melee, Unarmed, Medicine.
The goal is to kill all sophisticated, war-hating factions with melee (NCR, BoS, etc) and at all costs protect melee factions (Basically the whole of Zion) and if hostiles attack you with melee you must equip the weapon they have in hand to make it balanced (if not possible then run)
Furthermore if you come across any type of wierd plant you must eat it as soon as you get it, good effects or bad. You must also choose all INT 1 dialogue if available. The last rule is what makes this challenging: You must be naked all way through the run to show everyone how mad you are, headwear is allowed though. Oh, and your name must be SUPA MAD SHAKUUR so enemies get terrified of your name.

The Monk Run
Monk run, only unarmed is allowed, no heavy armours, no drugs that don’t heal, no followers, survival difficulty (using that mod the creator released), must donate to the ghoul in freeside 10% of your current caps every time you see him, no alcohols and karma must stay good or neutral also no crimes of any kind, cannot loot currency off corpses.
The Moon Courier Run
I call this run “Moon Courier” Pretty much you dont kill any humans but Ghouls and Mutants must be shot on sight no questions asked.
Not allowed to up speech, barter, or gun skills
The No Currency Run
Some of my favorites I’ve made are a No Currency run, in which my character can neither hold nor use any form of currency (caps, NCR moneys, Legion coins, or PreWar Money.
Well… Dont kill anyone. No matter how.

The Psychopath Run
Kill everything. Thats it.
The Serial Killer Run
This run functions the same as the Psyhcopath Run, meaning that you have to kill every NPC you meet. It differs in that while you do kill, you may only take ONE item off someones corpse as a “Trophy”. So If you kill benny, you can take the unique gun “Maria”, or his suit. you cant take both. This makes you think what you should take, and not just loot everything.
A stack of items (Say, 5.56mm ammo) can be taken as a whole! So you can take say 50 5.56mm ammo off a single person, but thats it. Nothing else.
Your targets also need to have something in common to the last one, and try to stick with the same killing method for everyone, as this is your signature. You can still trade, and enter casinos, but all those folks are doomed.
Spineless Sadist Run
Here’s a fun one: The spineless sadist run, the sole aim is to spread as much misery to the people of the wasteland as possible without killing a single person.
STR 1-No combat.
PER 10-to spot threats.
END 10- to survive hostile encounters.
CHR 7- to effectivley assist in suicides.
INT 10- your superior intellect is unhindered by petty emotions.
AGL 1- Not needed, doesnt affect speed.
LCK 1- No real use.
1)You can’t kill people,but you can use companions to kill them via provoking your intended victim and letting your companions dispatch them.
2) you must maintain a karma level of evil/very evil by the end of the game, this essentially means to choose the evil option whenever possible.
3) No combat skill can be chosen or Improved.

“Societal Leech” Run
Nothing matters, except for having a melee and/or (and more preferrable) stealth ranged weapon. Trade all you want but make sure to steal pretty much everything and sell it if you can.
Kill all civillians and useless people (such as Ranger Jackson after you finish all his quests) for fast levelling up.
Do as many quests as you can, even against your own moral judgement (Leigon quests included) but kill quest givers once you’re done.
Killing Caeser might re-balance your own personal moral scale, if you discount the 70 or so civilians and NCR soldiers you’ve stealthily killed by now.
Make sure to kill everyone in under 3 hits, preffereably 1 especially while crouched because that way you keep maximum high reputation with everyone.
Important: Make sure to steal the Silenced .22 Pistol from Chad’s shop in the front at the very beginning, buy ammo, steal everything in his shop and sell it, and steal the sunset sasparillas if you’re going to engage in Run Goodsprings Run or the opposite sides. Also kill everyone but chad because he sells stuff after either quest for a beginning-game XP boost.
Tip: If you can’t seem to kill someone undetected (such as Vulpus Inculus at Caeser’s tent), try hiding behind some wall and spam your vats button (default V) as soon as you crouch past it. If you can hit them with this method it should 1-hit them with your stealth crit, and nobody should detect you if done right. If they’re too far away to use vats, use your own aiming instead. Remember to save and quicksave often incase an assassination (of the entire town) goes wrong.
TL;DR: Kill all civilians and non-tradable NPCs stealthily and steal everything.

The Super Hero Run
I have an idea that I think would be interesting. It’s called the Superhero run.
The Superhero Run:
So basically you are a superhero with superstrength. You are very tough and you have high charisma because everyone likes you due to your heroism. :^) Generally, your goal shouldn’t be to kill everyone that stands in your way, but try to find a peaceful solution that will restore justice and help whenever possible. However this part is still up to you.
– No killing of innocent people
– No crimes are allowed, including stealing, murder, pickpocketing, etc.
– If your karma falls below “neutral” you lose
– Only allowed to kill someone else if they attack or provoke you first
– CANNOT side with the Legion (obviously)
– Not allowed to take any chems that don’t heal you (Psycho, Jet, Mentats, etc.)
Tag skills: Melee Weapons, Speech, Unarmed
Optional rules (to increase difficulty):
– No use of guns allowed
– Always wear armor as soon as possible

All witnessess to your crimes must be killed
You must have atleast a neutral or bad or very bad karma
No killing sprees try to minimize violence at all costs

The TradeMark Run
Trademark run. You are only allowed to use one weapon. As the game goes on you will find better weapons, but if you find a better weapon to replace your trademark then you must ditch your previous and exclusively use the new one. Furthermore both the new and previous must fit a theme. What that theme is is up to the player. For example, shotguns only, bolt action rifles only, blunt melee weapons only and so on. Aside from your trademark weapon anything goes. Any tags, perks, S.P.E.C.I.A.L., faction, and companions.
It’s worth noting that ammo will be a primary concern, as such its recommended to take the appropriate skill to craft ammo for your weapon, assuming it needs ammo, and buy ammo for your weapon at every opportunity.
