Overview
I’ve seen alot of Mod Guides for New Vegas, most has mods that add new things. So this guide will be only mods that make the game look better, doesn’t add any new weapons, armor, gameplay etc. Just in case you wanna keep in vanilla.
ENB
Personally, I think most ENBs for New Vegas look horrible. Enhanced Shaders is to blury for me, Dynamo ENB looks like Dorito dust smeared on the screen, Oxide looks to white, etc.
I think the ENB that is perfect for New Vegas is Lone Wanderer ENB[www.nexusmods.com]
The ENB just complements everything in the game, espically with all the other mods that are installed.
WARNING
Nevada Skies with this ENB makes the game darker, if you don’t want the game to be a little bit darker like in the screenshots than don’t use Nevada Skies.
Lighting
The ENB makes lighting better, but the NV modding community made it even better with these lighthing mods.
Nevada Skies Weather Effects[www.nexusmods.com] Adds weather effects, raining, dust storms, etc.
Interior Lighting Overhaul[www.nexusmods.com] Improves the lighting inside interiors, a must if using any enb.
ELECTRO-CITY – Relighting the Wasteland[www.nexusmods.com] Adds alot of needed lights around the wastes, in towns, camps.
Textures
The most important part! Makes the whole game looks amazing.
EVE – Essential Visual Enhancements[www.nexusmods.com] Makes explosions, plasma, lasers, gunshots, look better.
Weapon Retexture Project – WRP[www.nexusmods.com] Retextures all the weapons to make em’ look purity.
Fallout Character Overhaul[www.nexusmods.com] Makes you and the NPCs look better, a must if getting Fallout New Vegas Redesigned
Enhanced Blood Textures[www.nexusmods.com] Improves the blood.
Wasteland clothing Hires retexture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes the clothing of the wasteland not look like a blury mess.
Fallout New Vegas Redesigned 3[www.nexusmods.com] Improves almost everything about NPCs in the game, Fallout Character Overhaul is needed for it to work but its worth it. Makes NPCs feel like there from that area, makes the lore fit in. If someone got hit in the head in game they will have a blood mark. It improves lore stuff like that.
POCO BUENO Texture Pack[www.nexusmods.com] Not the most popular texture pack but the prettiest, its good to have NMC and Poco.
aMidianBorn NV Book Of Water[www.nexusmods.com] Retextures power armor and retextures every animal in the wastes.OJO BUENO Texture Pack[www.nexusmods.com] Another big texture pack that looks even better than the rest! Best to keep all of these together, if you perfer one over the other but that at the top of the load order.
Hi-Res Eyes Replacer[www.nexusmods.com] Makes the eyes not look like glass balls.
Authentic Burned Man [www.nexusmods.com] Makes Joshua Graham look actually burned.
Improved LOD Noise Texture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes textures faraway that are not loaded in yet look better.
MGs Neat Clutter Retextures[www.nexusmods.com] The big texture packs makes the big stuff looks good, walls, roads, but what about the broken dishwasher? This mods improves those items.
Misc Item Icons – New Vegas[www.nexusmods.com] Most of the icons in New Vegas in your inventory are the Misc one. This mod makes actually icons for them.
Improved Robots Textures[www.nexusmods.com] As the title suggests.
HI-RES Chems and Health Re-Texture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes the chems in the game look better.
Ghouls Hires retexture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes ghouls (non-feral ones) look better.
PipBoy 3000 HD Retexture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes the metal on the PipBoy look like real metal.
HQ Dust Storm FX[www.nexusmods.com] The little pockets of dust storms in the Mojave doesn’t really look like dirt, this mod makes it look like real dirt.
Pre-War Money Retexture[www.nexusmods.com] The pre-war money looks like it hasn’t been through nuclear war. So this mod makes it gross with dirt and such.
FeralGhouls Hires retexture[www.nexusmods.com] Makes ghouls (feral ones) HD.
TFH Better Authority Glasses[www.nexusmods.com] Show real authority with these shades.
Hectrol ED-E Deluxe HR Retex EVOLUTION PACK[www.nexusmods.com] Retexture Ed-e and his upgrades.
Urban Food Re-Tex[www.nexusmods.com] Rextures the urban food, the one in boxes.
Minimod – High Resolution Newspapers[www.nexusmods.com] The newspapers in the casinos could look alot better. This mod does that.
Its a Dogs World – Dog Texture Overhaul[www.nexusmods.com] Overhauls the dogs in the game.HiRes Skill Books Retexture[www.nexusmods.com] Rextures the skill books and magazins.
Brahmin Variant Redux[www.nexusmods.com] Makes Brahmins HD and gives them a little hair.
Collision Meshes[www.nexusmods.com] Fixes the crazy collisions in most objects.
Hectrol Tumbleweed Deluxe HighRes Retex[www.nexusmods.com] Makes the tumbleweeds flying around HD.
Hectrol Vegas Sewer Deluxe HighRes Retex[www.nexusmods.com] Adds little details to the sewer enrtances.
NCR Trooper Overhaul_beta[www.nexusmods.com] Remakes all NCR armor and they look amazing.
Little Things
Litte things that help the game, like you can see your body when you look down.

Yukichigai Unofficial Patch – YUP[www.nexusmods.com] Huge patch for everything in the game.
Invisible Wall Remover[www.nexusmods.com] Removes all those annoying invisble walls everywhere.
NVAC – New Vegas Anti Crash[www.nexusmods.com] No more crashing! Sorta…
New Vegas Stutter Remover[www.nexusmods.com] Fixes issues in the game engine to improve worst-case performance.
FNV – PCIDLES[www.nexusmods.com] When your standing still, your character will do a random idle that NPCs do.
Immersive Pickup Sounds FNV Edition[www.nexusmods.com] A unique sound will play everytime you pick up an item.
