SETTINGS

CONTROLS

The game supports all type of controllers (including joysticks, gamepads, steering wheels) which is supported by your system. If a controller is fully supported by your OS than the game will also fully support it. If you play on Linux: the Linux game is 64 bit version which require 64 bit Linux system and 64 bit joystick driver. Make sure your Linux system is set up for 64 bit.

Controller selector is topmost of this window. Press the arrows to select your controller to set up.
Keyboard is the default control method, however during the game all connected controller will be active, which allows the player to use keyboards and joysticks at the same time.

Use wheel:
Input handling uses direct input when selected. For keyboard or other gamepad controllers can be too direct, we suggest this option for racing wheels only.

Please note, the best and most secure way to use your controller properly is plugging it before starting the game, and let it connected all the time. Also important to mention, that some controllers are using different drivers on different platforms. For example DualShock3 let you assign some buttons as button on OSX and as button or axis on Windows.

Auto-shift: use it if you don’t want to shift the gears manually. Auto-shift is not the same as automatic transmission. In the game you have the options to use manual or automatic gear box whichever is installed into your car. Turn on this option, when you are using manual gearbox and you want to shift automatically.

H-shifter: this feature is for steering wheels equipped with H-shifter device. Please note, not all of them are supported fully on all platforms. (G27/29 is supported on OSX only as wheel+paddle shifter with 2 pedals [no clutch])
When H-Shifter is on, the gear shifting is fully manual and the player must take care of the clutch as well as the manual shifter to avoid the engine to halt or protect the gearbox while shifting gears. When H-Shifter is off the clutch will be automatic and player can shift gears with simply up or down.

Steering sensitivity:
This slider sets the sensitivity of the steering logic globally in the game. It is different from Input sensitivity (see below).

Input sensitivity:
Sensitivity of the selected controller type. Please note, there are 2 different value for this, one for keyboard (digital) and another for other (axis) controllers. It shows and sets the sensitivity of the controller type selected above.

Dead zone:
Sets the dead zone of the selected controller type. The more dead zone means more movement has to be done to get some input. That means by a joypad, that you have to move the stick further from the center to get the minimum input.

VISUALS

Screen resolution:
Shows and sets the screen resolution. It will be set automatically to the native resolution of your display, but you can use the arrows to step it to lower or higher values. Please notice, higher resolution gives lower frame rates.

Quality level:
You can set different quality level from fastest to beautiful. Fastest is the lowest quality settings, with the highest available FPS, beautiful is the highest which could cause less FPS. Try to find the highest level which fits to your computer’s performance.

Anti alias:
It helps to make coarse edges look smoother and also minimizes the flickering of the very thin lines(fences etc). It has 3 different steps, 2x 4x and 8x. It needs more power and Vram on higher settings. It has significant impact on FPS, if your FPS too low, try to reduce this value.

Draw distance:
It sets the maximum distance where the far objects are to be drawn. Lowering this value will rise the frame rate but resulting objects will pop up just in front of you.

Vertical sync:
Use it if you are experiencing screen tearing. Please keep in mind that not all gpu-s supporting this feature.

AUDIO

Volume
It’s the master volume of the game. Changing tis will affects all sounds and music.

SFX
Sound effect’s volume. Change this if you feel the sound effects are loud/silent in the game.

Menu music

Music volume when you are not in a race. (garage etc)

Race music
Music volume when you are in a race.

JOB

Job is a kind of tutorial in the game. It has two purposes: Give you a chance to make extra money if you totally run out of money, and learn how to fix things if you don’t know how to begin or how to do it. First, you have to accept the job, then you got some details about the owner, what is wrong and budget you need to fit. Charlie can give you hints, if you ask him for help. Just click on the charlie ikon or his character to start the dialog with him. If you made him satisfied you can be sure you did the job right.

TRACKS

First of all you need to find the location of the tracks to make them visible on your map. You start your journey on the backyard.

Unlock process:

Backyard —> Imalona —> Gutta — > Yanagin forest —> Mount yanagin.

Time trial silver time —> Race gold —> Challenge and new track

CARS

We have different type of cars with different setups and features.

New factory cars:
If you want to buy a factory setup car, you should choose from the bottom of the newspaper. These cars have a factory setup and consist of original parts. You can be sure these cars won’t contain tuning parts or parts from another brand. Parts are always in new condition.

Used cars (factory and custom):
These cars can be used factory or custom cars as well.
Used factory cars contain original parts but in different conditions. Body and paintwork may be damaged and some little parts could be missing, but you can get the idea about the car state with looking at the picture.
Other cars in the newspaper can have various setup. These cars may contain parts from different brands and in different condition.

Wrecks:
These cars are wrecks. They miss some parts, can have broken parts too and may have body damage. The picture represents the state of the car.

Available cars:

Walea
Small, light car, in factory setup it comes in 2 versions equipped with a L4 or a V6 engine. Since its mass is really small, can be used to build a proper race car with a strong (but not too strong) engine.

Wanja
A long wheelbase sedan with medium mass and 2 base versions equipped with a L6 or a V8 engine. It’s suspension geometry makes it a good starting point to a high speed tuning car.

Narno
The big and heavy all wheel drive monster. Both base versions are using a V8 engine with different torque. They are not too fast, but a small tuning can help them out!

Jingu
The pick up comes only in one factory versions. It is heavy and very reliable, can win any chassis vs chassis ramming situations, but its engine is a really lazy old V8.

Magura
Former supercar with a huge 7L V8 engine. It is very powerful, but it’s pretty hard to handle, since it produces over 800Nm of torque. Good base for a very fast and reliable race car.

Buthanbang
Typical american muscle car. Comes in two variants, both with V8 engines. The smaller engine delivers enough power for a fast cruising, but the stronger V8 is a real racing engine set for higher revs and much more torque. Driving it using its original suspension gives a proper “boat” feeling.

Panania
The youngest one in the lineup. It’s modern, it’s super light and both factory versions got have an extremely good balanced engine. One L4 and one V6, both of them are capable to rev up to 9000 rpm! The body design is very attractive, and thanks to the wide and low suspension geometry it is the most stable car too.

NEWSPAPER

The first two pages of the newspaper is a car catalog. You can see variety of cars, used and new one too. For factory cars choose from the bottom of the newspaper.
It is a newspaper, not a catalog so don’t expect that you going to find every parts all the time. Use wrecks, swap parts from other cars, and make up stock when you see something important. You should try to think as a mechanic or dealer, how could he/she make up money.
Be aware that the newspaper can expire. As in the real life you can be late with your attempt, others can buy the parts you wanted too. In this case buy another newspaper for $2

PARTS

Before buying a part from the newspaper, you can see more details about them to be able to decide buy it or not. By some parts you can se compatibility informations but most of the cases not. Generally You need to know what you buy for what purposes.

Brands:
Every brand has a different lifetime and quality. In most of the cases you are free to use different brands within a car but in this case you should count with more maintenance time and less optimal operation. Different brands wear out in different time and parts from another brand should be replaced or fixed more often than own brands.
Generic parts can be used anywhere. By using own brands you can achieve optimal operation and less maintenance time.

Compatibility:
By some parts there are compatibility informations in the newspaper, before you buy it.
Your inventory shows every parts you have already bought, but by installing the parts you will be able to choose only from parts which are compatible with the part you’ve selected.
compatibility is one of the things you will learn during the play. Generally it is allowed to use different brands however it doesn’t mean you will get the result you expected. By parts which can not be mixed with each other it is shown on the info page of the newspaper (i.e. engine, distribution belt, exhaust etc.).
tuning parts are compatible with almost everything.

Engine:
There are more attributes, but the most important is the engine distribution. There are L4, L6, V6 and V8 engines used in the cars. You have to keep in mind, that some parts are compatible only with a given engine distribution. They are: carburetors, ignitions and drive belts. The compatible distribution is always displayed on their data sheets!

Rim and Tires:
The rims and tires are using the following sizing method: By the rims, the first number represents the distance of the inner and outer edge in millimeters.(width.) The “R” means that it is for radial tires, followed by the diameter of the rim in inches.
By the tires the first number also indicates the width in millimeters. Then comes a “/“ and a number. It indicates the wall height of the tire in the percentage of its width. Then the “R” indicates that it is a radial tire, and the last number tells the diameter of the rim to fit perfectly.
As in real life, it is possible to mount +/-10mm difference between rim and tire in width, but not in the diameter!

There are street, off-road and slick tires in the game, the all rounder street delivers average friction on all surface types. The slicks are strong on tarmac tracks but are suffering on any other surfaces. Off-road is the counter part of slick, it’s good for any non tarmac surface but it’s suffering on tarmac.
The tire pressure level is best to set between 0.7 and 0.9. The over pressured tire can be slippery while under pressured is not stable enough. Try to play with the setting to find a proper level.

Brake and suspension:
There are brakes and suspensions in 3 different levels, indicated with different colors on the springs (suspension) and calipers (brake).
The black is for street-, yellow is for sport- and red is for racing level.
By raising this level you will get more brake power and better heat resistance by the brakes and stiffer spring forces, lower ride height and more opened toe angles by the suspensions.
There are no compatibility restrictions, these parts can be mixed, but be cautious! As in real life, it’s possible to build cars balanced from perfect to “hard to control”. Try to learn the meaning of the different values to find the best solution and avoid problematic configurations.

FRIENDS

Those opponents who you raced against, become your friend. If one of them is available for a street race, you going to get a message from him/her.

RANKS

You start your journey as a beginner. You can reach the following ranks:

Amateur, Pro, Revhead.

To reach the rank, you need to have:

For Amateur
20 racing points
100 mechanic points
Imalona gold

For Pro
100 racing points
500 mechanic points
gutta race gold

For Revhead
1000 racing points
3000 mechanic points
gutta challenge gold
beat all the bosses

To reach the Revhead rank you have to beat all the Bosses. It means you have to win a challenge or street race against them. If you go to a race and one of the bosses are among the opponents, it doesn’t count. You have to be better than the boss in a 1 vs 1 race.

MAPS

We have two different maps in the game: Noordu and Yanagin. (Yanagin will be available after update 9) Both areas are free to explore and both have different tracks to race on.

HINTS

The diff- and gearbox are vital to balance the car speed and acceleration. Try to chose the best gear ratio for your engine rev, power and car mass. Most of the gearboxes in the highest gear the ratio is somewhere around 1:1. That means, the rpm of the engine will go through the gearbox without modification in the highest gear. The differential box ratios are in a wide spectrum, from ~1.8 to ~5 .
There is one single rule: the smaller the ratio, the bigger the output speed. If you need faster car, change your dbox with a ratio lower than the present. If you need better acceleration, take one with higher ratio number.

For a stronger engine try to place wider rims with bigger diameter, and proper tires. You will need some brake and suspension upgrade as well. By slow base cars (Jingu / Walea / Narnoo) you will need special steering to control the car at high speeds. (because their factory steerings are set for slower speeds)
