Speed

Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO) is a free-to-play game. DDO uses "Turbine points" as premium currency. As you guessed there's premium content, characters, quests, that cost money and you want it. Welcome to favor running.

Favor running is about doing 100 favor worth of quests on a mule character as fast as possible. When you complete quests, you get favor. Generally the larger, the longer the quest, the more favor you get. When you earn 100 favor you get 25 "Turbine points". How many you need is up to you. If you aren't familiar with the quests, just follow along, most of the quests are go/???/profit. If you're constantly looking to resupply, sell, you know play the game? Then favor running isn't for you. Remember you get 25 favor points? Quest packs start around 250. So there's a point on speed.

Making it possible

When you're favor running you have to have a character that can either kill, or KILL. There is no time to "gear up" or build stats. When you're done favor running, you'll be about level 2 or 3.

Free to play players have two character slots, usually one for the main and one for the mule.

If you have a server you haven't played on, pick that first. You get one time perks.

Make a NEW character, CON maxed, killing ability maxed, and the rest who cares.

Korthos Island

Do the first quest, "The Grotto" kill the Sahuagin and get your noob gear. If you don't do this one, you'll have to do a quest on normal and hope you get something for your class.

When you bust out into Korthos Island, immediately open up social and look for groups doing favor runs. If they're all dark go to Stormreach then immeadiately head right back. The dark lfm's should now be clickable. Still no groups? Post a quick LFM for favor running, usually someone bites. If not get a hireling after the first quest, it's going to be a long night. (You'll be doing each quest 3 times).

Start with the Storehouse Secret, sell the junk reward, buy a cleric hire, and then do the Cannith Crystal. Finish up Korthos Village, and head out to Korthos Island, and do all BUT Misery's Peak. It takes forever, even just doing the walking takes like 7 minutes.

Head to Stormreach.

The Harbor

Still no group?
Arachnophobia as fast as possible, kill 20 bugs, only one difficulty.
The Miller's debt, just run LEFT, then to the end.
Do the solo quests, get it?

Clean up the quests at the bottom of the harbor, then the rest up top. Avoid doing the Cerulean Hills quests until last.

Head to the Marketplace if you still need favor, do the 2 low levels.

You're done. Hopefully you had someone with elite. If done right, it should have taken 40 minutes. And if you think about it, you just worked at sub 3rd world wages.

See the mail icon saying you got 25 points? Log, delete, create, repeat.
