This here is a compliation of the knowledge I’ve gotten from myself and others on how to effectively defeat map12, or the Final Map II. Thanks for all of you who unwittingly helped! 😀

Basic Guide

Misconceptions and Tips

This walkthrough image should be enough for you to beat it after some time, but I’ll post here some common misconceptions and tips on how to get past this map more effectively.

  1. Defend your home base for the first 5 minutes, DO NOT ATTACK. The AI is set to an extreme level of aggression and outnumber you heavily at this time, and leaving your allies will result in mission failure through final base capture. Help your allies defend your base with everything you’ve got, from delpoyable MGs and Miniguns to mortars and Claymores.
  2. Don’t bang your heead against a brick wall when attempting to take the Castle Ruins via brute force. There’s a small trench to the north that will hide you will, so long you don’t attract too much attention and go slowly. Pick up some C4 and a ghillie suit and take the scenic route.
  3. Don’t get frustrated that the main door is blocked. Go south to take out the final bit of enemy resistance in this part of the map.
  4. Take the final step of destroying DarkCat slowly – grind him down with Carl Gustavs, mortar strikes, and anything else that goes boom. Set up MGs and mortars at the choke point to avoid losing too much ground between deaths (which is inevitable).
