Five Nights at Freddy’s Guide

Five Nights at Freddy's ~Ultimate Guide~ for Five Nights at Freddy's

Five Nights at Freddy’s ~Ultimate Guide~

Overview

Help on FNAF 1 nights and animatronic behaviors

Intro

Hello? Uh, hello hello. Uh I just wanted to write this guide for you to help you get settled in on your stay at Freddy’s. Now if you’re reading this you probably are having issues with beating the game. I hope for this guide to help you out on surviving the week.

~Freddy Behavior~

While Five Nights at Freddy’s is obviously named after Freddy Fazbear, like the Phone Guy says “Freddy himself does not come off stage very often… he becomes more active in the dark”.

Freddy has 2 behaviors in the first game. His first behavior is to attack you when you run out of power, he will light up his face and play his jingle, and if you’re close enough to 6 AM you can still survive the night. The only way to combat this behavior is to manage you power well.

Freddy changes behaviors however, during Night 3 Freddy will start going after the player while the power is on.

His attack pattern is:
Show Stage → Dining Area → Restrooms → Kitchen → East Hall → East Hall Corner

When he gets into the East Hall Corner, he will not appear in the door lights, and will sneak in if the door is not closed in time. While you can close the door when he visits the corner, the most effective strategy is to just watch the East Hall Corner camera, he acts in a way where he cannot move if the camera is on him. Now this doesn’t just mean while the camera is up, if your camera was last on the East Hall Corner camera, Freddy will still not move into the office.

“But what about Foxy?”
If you’re worried about Foxy, I will elaborate on his strategy in his section. But the short is you don’t have to worry about him.

~Bonnie Behavior~

Bonnie the Bunny is usually the first animatronic in FNAF 1 to move on Night 1. Bonnie’s attack pattern is:
Dining Area → Backstage → West Hall → Supply Closet → West Hall Corner

His behavior is to show up on your left door, he shows up in your door lights and when he does, immediately close the door. The time allowed between using the light and the door jamming gets shorter and shorter over the course of the nights. On Night 1 he will move into the Parts & Service room and the Dining Hall first, but as the nights progress he’ll go towards the West Hall quicker. The strategy with him is to just check your left door light, checking the cams does nothing but waste power.

~Chica Behavior~

Chica the Chicken (not a duck) acts much like Bonnie. Her movement pattern is:
Show Stage → Dining Area → Restrooms → Kitchen → East Hall → East Hall Corner → Right Door Light

If she is in the Kitchen you can hear her clang around in it. She can be seen using the door light on your right, and much like Bonnie you need to close your door as soon as you see her. Also like Bonnie she is not slowed by the cameras, so you need to only watch the door lights for her.

~Foxy Behavior~

Foxy the Pirate Fox is the most unique animatronic in FNAF in both design and behavior. Foxy’s attack pattern is:
Pirate Cove → West Hall → Office

When Foxy leaves Pirates Cove, he will run through the West Hall and go straight for your left door. He can be stopped if you close the door before he arrives, however it will drain a little bit of power when he bangs on your door. To combat him you need to be active on the cameras, spending too little time in the cameras makes Foxy move outside Pirates Cove more and more, until he eventually leaves. While Phone Guy says to look at Pirates Cove, you don’t actually have to look at it, just look at any camera.

He can appear on Night 1 however it is extremely rare as the player cannot look at the cameras for a long time, while most will look in the cameras for the majority of the night.

~20/20/20/20~

If you’re still reading this congratulations you’ve beaten the previous 6 nights, and you aren’t quite finished with the game yet. Well get ready for the ultimate challenge as 20/20/20/20 is the hardest night possible in FNAF 1. This section should help with beating the night.

Start:
Set camera to CAM4B , the West Hall Corner. If you read the Freddy section, you’ll know that this stops Freddy from getting into the Office. Now get ready for repetition; close camera, look at both door lights, flip camera back up, rinse and repeat until 6 AM, or until you lose power, which hopefully means you’re close to 6 AM.

End

When you’ve finished this guide, I hope you’ve earned your 3 stars (or at least 2 if you couldn’t beat 4/20 mode). Thank you for reading this guide, and good luck in your playthrough!
