Aquadelic GT Guide

Fix poor FPS for Aquadelic GT

Fix poor FPS

Overview

If you’re experiencing performance issues with the latest hardware, I may have a solution for you!

Anti Aliasing

This is most likely the main culprit of your performance issues, the anti aliasing. For some reason, Aquadelic GT sets it to the max when starting the game for the first time, in order to solve this, you first need to enter the configuration options. Simply play Aquadelic GT and select “Configure Aquadelic GT” from this popup:

It may take a while for the launcher to open up, but don’t panic, it’s not frozen, give it a minute or two. Once it does open up, it will look something like this:

As you can see, the anti aliasing is the second highest option in the video-options.

Simply click on the white box with the number in it, and it should open into a bigger box with multiple number options in it, scroll to the very top of it and select “Off”

After you’ve selected the “off” option, press the “RUN” button on the bottom to launch the game. Now your frame rate should be smooth as butter.

Now… You might notice that the edges of some objects look a bit rough after turning off AA.
If this doesn’t bother you, you can just keep playing the game without AA.
However, you can go back to the configuration options and instead of “Off” select “2 x” to make it look less rough.
If you’re already running on a high resolution like 2K (2160×1440), I wouldn’t recommend going higher than “4 x” with the AA, as it will start biting into your frame rate fairly quickly.

Graphics Card Drivers

If your game still runs poorly…
Make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers.

If your GPU is from Nvidia:
(GeForce GT, GTX, RTX series cards for example.) You can either install the latest drivers manually or install their software to update your drivers automatically.

If your GPU is from AMD:
(Radeon HD, RX, R series cards for example.) You can either install the latest drivers manually or install their software to update your drivers automatically.

If you’re running on integrated graphics:
Depending on the CPU, you’ll need to install different drivers.

For AMD APUs, the drivers can be found from the same place as for AMD graphics cards: [link]

For Intel CPUs, the drivers can be found here: [link]

Game still runs poorly?

Honestly, if Aquadelic GT still runs poorly on your PC after following my guide, you could try turning off post-processing in the “Video” tab and see if that helps. Running the game in compatibility mode and/or as an administrator may also help.

If other games run poorly on your PC, not just Aquadelic GT. Then it’s pretty clear that the issue is not with the game itself. You could open up a task manager ( [ctrl] + [shift] + [esc] ) and try and see if there is a parasitic app running in the background that eats up your PC resources.

However, diagnosing and fixing a PC that runs poorly is another can of worms all together which I will not be tackling in this guide.

Conclusion

If this guide helped, then you’re very welcome! Go out there and enjoy racing, skipper!
