Fnaf2 doesnt just have a death screen sometimes. It also has Death Minigames.
S-A-V-E-T-H-E-M
SAVETHEM is a minigame where you play as Freddy Fazbear. You are chasing Marionette around to get to prize corner before he does.. something. When you get to Prize Corner, you see 1 dead child. You walk up to it, and the minigame ends. Sometimes Golden Freddy appears in this minigame. There is also a purple man who very rarely appears and gets you, crashing your game.
What does this mean? Well, it could mean Marionette wanted to rush to Prize corner to do something. He could be stopping that purple man from killing a kid. It could have been too late. Freddy was following him because Marionette needed help from him. Golden Freddy appears, being curious. I’ll discuss the Purple Man more as we go on.

Take Cake to the Children
Take Cake to the Chlidren is a minigame where you play as Toy Freddy Fazbear and.. well.. take cake! After a bit, you’ll see a car pull up to a crying kid. There stands…the purple man. He seems to kill the kid. Then you start going slower…until the Marionette jumpscare appears.
So, the Purple Man appears again. He killed a kid. Note the Marionette jumpscare at the end. This could mean that the purple man was a part of the Missing Children murder. Marionette could have also been a part of it. Let’s see if we can find more clues.

Give Gifts, Give Life
Give Gifts, Give Life is a minigame where you play as Marionette and give gifts to children. First, you give presents. Then, you give… Heads? After each child gets a head and a gift, a 5th child appears for a split second, then you get a Golden Freddy jumpscare.
Holy crap. My first theory needs to be changed. Freddy was trying to STOP the Marionette in the first minigame I explained. This could mean that the Marionette and the Purple Man allied together to kill 5 kids/stuff them into suits. Then theres the fifth kid. He/She could have been inside the Golden Freddy suit. However, I think we can get a full theory by the end.

Foxy Minigame
In this minigame, you guessed it, you play as Foxy. First, you start in Pirate Cove. Then, you run up to the kids and excite them. That’s cute right there. The third time you do it, however, before you run, Purple Man is standing there. When you go see the kids, they’re all dead. Once you finish it, the minigame ends with Foxy’s Jumpscare.
Ok, so this is pretty much the reason why the Bite of ’87 happened. Foxy saw that the kids were dead, so, he wanted revenge. But instead of Foxy, Mangle caused the bite. The suspect was quite possibly the Purple Man or Jeremy. All is said.

The full reason why Minigames exist and the completed theory
I think the full reason why they exist is because that they show you why FF’sP closed. It shows you everything that happened. All theories are proved there. But here is my theory:
On the day after night 4, The Purple Man(Disguised as a janitor/staff/Golden Freddy) and Marionette asked 5 kids if they wanted to see something. They all agreed and went into parts/services. Suddenly, Freddy Fazbear awakens only to see that the 5 kids are in danger. He chases the Purple Man and Marionette to Prize Corner. When Freddy gets there, The Purple Man and the Marionette lock themselves into a room. Mangle overhears their plan, and it asks if it could help with the second plan a few days later. The man and the puppet kill all of the 5 kids. Then they are stuffed into the suits. Instead of haunting the old suits, they haunt the toy suits. Then all of the wacky stuff happens. On the day after night 6, The Bite of ’87 takes place. Then, FF’sP will close down. Night 7 is the last and final night it is open. That is my theory.
Theory 2:
The Crying Kid was in fact the marionette. He only helped the purple man becuase he had 5 friends and he wanted to give them life. At first, he got a new vision, and saw everybody as alive. He stuffed the kids into the suits, and then he saw everything as normal ( dead people dead, alive people alive ) He realises his mistake, and decides to only come out when his music box stops.
