FNAF: Animatronic Guide for Five Nights at Freddy's

FNAF: Animatronic Guide

Overview

This is a guide to dealing with the animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Intro

In this guide I will be telling you how to defend against and deal with 5 animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Bonnie

Bonnie is a purple bunny that attacks you from the left door. His moving pattern is:

Cam 1A – Cam 1B – Cam 5 – Cam 3 – Cam 2A – Cam 2B.

Bonnie will ALWAYS attack through the left door, so if you see him with your door lights, make sure you close the left door always. He attacks from cam 2B. If you see him here before about night four or so, do not close the door, as this is a waste of power. If your lights and doors are failing, this means you did not close the door in time when Bonnie is there, and will cause him to jump scare you if you raise and put the cameras back down. His AI increases each night, making him move to other rooms quicker. Try to keep an eye on the Show Stage (Cam 1A) from time to time at the beginning of each night, to make sure he does not leave his place too early.
Make sure if you hear footsteps, take note that someone is about to attack. headphones are good for telling which side one of them is coming from.

Chica

Chica is a yellow duck that attacks you from the right door. This is her moving pattern:

Cam 1A – Cam 1B – Cam 7 – Cam 6 – Cam 4A – Cam 4B.

Chica attacks through the right door. Unlike other animatronics, she, herself can be seen with the lights when she is at your door. She and Bonnie are the two normally moving animatronics, who move around in similar ways to each other. If you fail to close the door when she’s there, you will hear a kind of groaning sound, and the next time you put down your camera, Chica will jump scare you. Also make sure you listen to see if you hear banging and cooking. If you hear this, this means she is in the kitchen. Beware, this means she is kind of close to your office. The kitchen’s camera is broken, the only way you can tell if she’s in there is by listening. You can also listen to her footsteps to see if she’s attacking.

Foxy

Foxy is a fox that comes into your office by the left door. This is his moving pattern:

Cam 1C – Cam 2A

Foxy may be the most unique animatronic of them all; he moves even if you are looking at him on camera, and his jump scare is a lot different. Foxy starts out in Pirate’s cove. If the cameras are not looking at him for long periods of time, Foxy will peek out of his curtains. If you stop looking at him more, he will run out of his original place and into your office. to prevent this, don’t look at cam 2A (West hall) after seeing his curtains open, because this will cause him to run down the hallway and into your office. After you see the opening, quickly put the cameras down and close the left door. A common mistake some people make is closing both doors, but if you do not close the right door you are completely safe. If your left door is closed, Foxy will bang on your door, taking away some of your power. If you succesfully defend Foxy’s attack, he will return to Pirate’s Cove. On rare occaisions, when Foxy is out, the sign that usually says “Sorry! Out of order” in Pirate’s cove will say “It’s Me”. Instead of jumping in your face while jump scaring you, like the other animatronics, Foxy will poke his head out of the door.

Freddy

Freddy is a fuzzy bear that attacks from the right door. This is his movement pattern:

Cam 1A – Cam 1B – Cam 7 – Cam 6 – Cam 4A – Cam 4B.

Freddy. Freddy is the main animatronic, although he doesn’t come off stage very often. Actually, don’t assume that. In the later nights, about 5 and 6, he is INSANE. He can be about as active as the other animatonics, moving around a ton and killing you over and over. His most common attack is, when you run out of power, looking into your office and killing you. The only way to stop him now is for the clock to turn to 6:AM. His other attack is killing you just like Bonnie and Chica. He will sneak into your office, no matter what amount of power you have. Freddy also has glowing eyes, and in most rooms you can only see his eyes. Make sure you don’t think you’re looking at an empty room. In the later nights, make sure you always know where he is, to stop him from moving.

Golden Freddy

Golden Freddy is a yellow version of Freddy Fazbear. He has no movement pattern.
Golden Freddy is the most rare of the group. He is most common on nights 3 and 4. How you “summon” him is by putting down the camera while on cam 2B. The freddy poster here will now be Golden Freddy’s head. This only rarely happens, even on night 3 and 4. If you do “summon” him, he will appear sitting on the floor with empty eyes. If Golden Freddy appears in your office, put the camera up then down to make him disappear.
