Five Nights at Freddy’s Guide

FNAF Tips and Tricks for Five Nights at Freddy's

FNAF Tips and Tricks

Overview

Through many hours of playing or watching others play Five Nights at Freddy’s, here is a culminaton of everything a beginner should be aware of, and even some things experienced players may have overlooked.

Bonnie

Bonnie can only enter from the left door, and the only way Bonnie can attack you is if you put up your camera while he’s standing outside your door. Bonnie can appear in these locations ONLY:
-Backstage, or Cam 5
-Dining Area, or Cam 1B
-Supply Closet, or Cam 3
-West Hall, or Cam 2A and Cam 2B

Chica

Chica can only enter your office from the right side, and similar to Bonnie, can only attack you if you put up your camera while she is outside your office.

These ar the locations where Chica can appear:
-Dining Area, or Cam 1B
-Restrooms, or Cam 7
-Kitchen, or Cam 6 (This is the disabled camera. However, you can tell Chica is in the kitchen when you hear clanging and crashing sounds. These noises can be heard with the camera on Cam 6 or with the camera down.)
-East Hall, or Cam 4A and Cam 4B

Foxy

Foxy really becomes a major pain in the ass starting at Night 4. He becomes extremely active, but knowing how to defend from him can be extremely helpful. If you notice that Foxy is no longer in Pirate Cove (Cam 1C), immedeiately put down the camera and close the left door. If you look at Cam 2A, Foxy can be seen running down the hallway to your office. However, if you do not look at this camera when Foxy is out of Pirate Cove, you actually have a longer period of time to close the door and save yourself from him. After knocking on the door several times, Foxy will return to Pirate Cove, and the cycle of constant checking will begin all over again.

Freddy

Freddy does not become active (before losing power) until Night 4. Once you have made it to Night 4, however, Freddy functions similarly to Foxy in that you must keep a close watch on him in order for him to not attack you. Once Freddy has left the Show Stage (Cam 1A), it is essential to know where he appears. Freddy moves in a particular and constant order through the rooms. The following are the cameras he goes through, in order.
-Cam 1B
-Cam 7
-Cam 6
-Cam 4A
-Cam 4B
Spotting him these cameras is a different matter. Freddy can be particularly difficult to spot, as he can only be seen by the two white dots of his eyes on the cameras. Included are where in the cameras Freddy can be seen.
-Cam 1B –
extremely small, two white dots in the left portion of the camera
-Cam 7 –
Freddy can be seen peeking out from the girl’s bathroom, the door closest to the camera
-Cam 6 –
While you cannot see Freddy, you can hear his song playing with the camera on Cam 6 or down.
(Quick fact: Freddy’s song is actually an overture from Carmen.)
-Cam 4A –
Freddy is standing on the left side of Cam 4A

-Cam 4B –
He’s right up in the camera, and by this point, you’re screwed.

Another vital part to knowing how close Freddy is to you is recognizing his laugh. You can tell how close Freddy is by how often you hear this.

Easter Eggs

Below are the easter egg camera shots.

(In my opinion, this one is the creepiest of them all…)

and of course, by looking at this poster, you will trigger the infamous Golden Freddy.

Once triggered, you have three seconds to put up your camera, otherwise Golden Freddy will kill you and consequently crash your game.

Finally, there’s the extremely rare Eyeless Bonnie Screen. Since I’m not lucky enough to have been gifted this horror, I’m unable to provide an image… but I’m almost certain you already know what it looks like.

Other Information

-The light and door switches will malfunction if you let Chica or Bonnie stand outside your door for too long, so be sure to close the door on them the moment you notice them.

– While you can clearly tell if Chica’s outside your door when using the light with the door closed, it isn’t as obvious to tell if bonnie is still there. when no one is outside your door, there should be a solid line of light that appears when turning on the light. However, if Bonnie is still there, a shadow of him will appear in the line of light.

– If you click on Freddy’s nose on the poster that says “CELEBRATE!” it makes a squeaking noise.

– You’ve probably heard the “Du-du-dum-dum-dum-dum” sound that occurs every once in a while. This is actually Foxy singing behind the curtains in Pirate Cove.

– The fifth night’s message is actually just previous messages the other guard sent you, played slower and in reverse.

– When you’ve unlocked the 7th night, if you set the AI levels to 1, 9, 8, 7 (The Bite date) Golden Freddy is actually more likely to appear.

As a closing note, if you feel like messing around with the game, try rapidly putting the camera up and down if you notice Bonnie or Chica outside your door. You will die, but the result is rather amusing…
