First, obtain a copy of Virtual Audio Cable [software.muzychenko.net]
Or you can torrent it, I don’t care (and will not be responsible for any damage/trouble).
Install the version that matches your Windows’ bit version
To know which one to get, open Start and Right-click My Computer/This PC, and click properties. Find System Type, and look for XX-bit Operating System.
(On Windows 8, open File Explorer and go to Computer, and at the top hit the Computer tab. Now click System Properties.)
If 32-bit, run setup.exe
If 64-bit, run setup64.exe
- Click yes
- I Accept
- Install.
DO NOT check the Advanced Options box, you don’t need it.
It will ask you if you want to install a driver, click YES.
You now need to enable the “cable.”
Go the the programs file location.
C:Program FilesVirtual Audio Cable
- Right click vcctlpan.exe
- Go to Properties
- Now to Compatibility
- Make sure “Run this program as an administrator” is CHECKED.
Now open vcctlpan.exe
Set cables to 1 at the top left corner of the window, then hit Set then Reset under that.
Right click the Audio icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, and press “Playback devices.”
Set Line 1 as your default playback device.
Now go to Recording and find Line 1.
- Go to its properties
- Listen
- Check “Listen to this device”
- Make the device it plays through your USB Headset.
Hit Apply/Ok…
Play the game!
