A handy guide for adding Forza to your anti-virus exceptionsOnly useful if your anti-virus is causing startup problems with Forza
Bitdefender
1. Open the Bitdefender interface.
2. Access Protection on the left hand side menu.
3. In the ANTIVIRUS pane, click Manage Exceptions.
4. Click ADD AN EXCEPTION.
5. Drag & drop the file/folder you want to exclude inside the search bar, under Exceptions options. Or click the magnifying glass to find and select the file/folder you want to exclude.

6. Click OK.
7. Make sure all these checkboxes are selected:
• On-access scan (Real-time protection against malware. Bitdefender automatically scans all accessed files and e-mails).
• On-demand scan (Manual, user-performed scans.)
• Embedded scripts. (The ability to scan different applications for scripts that might harm your device).
8. Click ADD EXCEPTION to save the changes and close the window.

Start Norton.
If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.
In the Norton main window, click Settings.
In the Settings window, click Antivirus.
In the Antivirus settings window, click the Scans and Risks tab.
Under Exclusions / Low Risks, do one of the following:
In the Items to Exclude from Scans row, click Configure.
In the Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, Script Control, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection row, click Configure.
In the window that appears, click Add Folders or Add Files.
You can assign exclusions to local drives, folders, groups of files, single files, or network drives. However, Norton does not support exclusions for files on a network. If you add a network drive to the exclusion list, make sure that the drive is connected to your computer.
In the Add Item dialog box, click the browse icon.

In the dialog box that appears, select the item that you want to exclude from the scan.
When you add folders, you can specify whether to include or exclude subfolders.
Click OK.
In the Add Item dialog box, click OK.
In the window that appears, click Apply, and then click OK.

Allow a file or folder

1. Click Allow a file or folder.
2. Click Select a file or Select a folder.
3.Choose the file or folder you wish to exclude, then click Open.
Under Exclusion rules, choose how you would like to exclude the file or folder.
Exclude from all detections
Exclude from detection as malware or potentially unwanted item only
Exclude from detection as ransomware only
4. Click Done to confirm your changes.
