No More Room in Hell Guide

Game Basics (for all of my nooblet friends) (EDITED) for No More Room in Hell

Game Basics (for all of my nooblet friends) (EDITED)

Overview

This is just a quick guide that I will show all of my friends who don’t know how to play NMRiH (because there are a lot…). However, feel free to check it out, because basic human rights.

How this guide will work:

Congratulations! You are now reading my first guide. Great. Prepare for unprofessionalism and tactics that are most likely very bad, and are very dangerous and time-consuming. But oh well, this is how I play NMRiH. And you will see how I play NMRiH in my first guide.

Joining/Starting an NMO (No More Room in Hell Objective) Server:

So you want to play some NMO. Great! That’s my first choice too. Well, before you can play on one, you need to find one, right?

Now, this first obstacle is one that some of my friends don’t understand. Not all of them, only the ones that are new to Steam, as well as NMRiH.

So here’s What you want (or what I) do:
-Find a server that isn’t modded (for the best experience). Now, this is the hardest part, because most NMRiH servers nowadays are modded. Normally, a modded server has a lot of tags. A picture of tags will be shown below:

Now, do you notice something? Only one of the servers has 4 tags. That’s the server you should be joining. However, before you do, you need to check a couple other things:

-Make sure all of these are the same on your settings:

And there you go. Just choose a server and play!
(EDIT: You don’t have to put in nmo, I personally prefer objective maps.)

BUT WAIT- THERE’S MORE!
When you first join a game, there will most likely be an arrangement of mediocre to halfway decent weapons. This is what I get:
-Heavy Melee (fubar, fire axe, sledgehammer, etc.)
-Light Blade (hatchet, knife)
-Flashlight (OPTIONAL)
-Pistol (OPTIONAL)

Now, to get through a horde (because zombies will most likely be swarming the doors when you are prepping), use this strategy:
1. Prepare a heavy attack with your heavy melee
2. Run towards the closest zombie and swing preumptively
3. PRESS V TO SHOVE THE ZOMBIE!!! Most people I see playing NMRiH ALWAYS don’t shove a zombie attacking them, and they always get grabbed, get their tracea ripped out by the zombie, and then become a zombie only to attack another not-educated player!
4. Rinse and repeat

P.S. If you do get a pistol, you need to know two things:
1. Only use it on runners and children.
2. Headshots only.

Mid-Game Strategies:

1. Don’t get grabbed and chowed down apon. If you do, there is a chance you will get infected.
1a. In the dire case that you do get infected (there are yellow veins surrounding your vision), tell someone immediately. If nobody has either pills and/or gene therapy, then kill yourself/have your teammates kill you. Take one for the team, champ.

2. Conserve your ammo. Headshots only. Use gun in emergencies only, and/or if there is either a runner or a child zombie.

3. Get to know the maps. You don’t have to memorize them, just know the general areas & camping spots.

4. (EDITED) Pickaxe is love, Pickaxe is life.

5. (NEW FROM EDIT) DO NOT HORDE SUPPLIES. Hording supplies takes up unneccesary space, and it’s how your team gets killed. If someone needs a specific type of ammo that you have but don’t need, don’t be an ass, just give it to them. Same goes for medical supplies, weapons… well, you get the idea.

6: (NEW FROM EDIT) I would highly recommend sticking to your team. More hands = more survival.

The Wrap-Up:

Here are any notes that I want to add.

-Only kill zombies that you need to. If you are in a hallway and there are 1-5 zombies, you can easily kill them with your heavy melee.

However, if you are outside, and you see a horde of zombies far away from where you need to go, then don’t go for the horde. They will kill you in an instant. Just run past them, and you may never see them again.

-Don’t camp for too long in an objective map. All of the zombies constantly respawn, so there will never be a “break period” longer than 5 minutes.

– (EDITED) Pickaxe is love, Pickaxe is life.

– (EDITED) Oh, and did I mention that Pickaxe is love, Pickaxe is life?
