Overview
In-game, only keyboard and mouse controls are supported, but I figured out quickly what each of the RGSS inputs do, except for one of them which might do nothing (or might be bound to SHIFT).Gamepad supported internally. It is an RGSS game after all.
Controls
Preface: To bind these to a gamepad you have to press F1 to bring up the game options menu.
Button A: Not sure if this does anything yet (I use the input for Dashing)
Button B: Cancel/Menu
Button C: Interact/Confirm
Button X: Brings up the Save Screen
Button Y: Brings up the Journal/Task Screen
Button Z: Brings up the Items Screen. Useful.
Button L: In menus, switches between characters. Scrolls lists.
Button R: Same as L.
That’s really it. It’s not hard to use a gamepad with this, though I can see why the dev wanted to focus on mouse and keyboard interaction.
I see the appeal, and the graphics for mouse interaction are neat. Ode to Sierra Online and Kings’ Quest, and Roland Synthesizers. I have an eye for the MT-32 also.
