Overview

Simple advice from the heart, to get the best from this very nice game.

The Guide to Yes, Your Grace

0. This is a good game, well worth playing once, maybe even twice, but it has no replayability after that. Plot points are fixed. IF you are ever stuck on a desert island, and this is the only game you have, you will quickly go insane.

1. Remember above all this is a RESOURCE MANAGEMENT game, not really a decision-making game as the plot points are fixed. It becomes easy after that.

2. No matter what, make sure your PEOPLE ARE HAPPY, and always invest in making that happen, victory is assured.

3. Agents are cheaper than paying, when you need to help your people, use them as a first option.

4. A good, strong early-game start is key, so
4.1 Ask Talys for a second general, you will get the most out of him for that.
4.2 Spend cheap on the wedding, no-one will care, but early-game resources are important.
4.3 Bankruptcy leads to instant defeat, understand this.
4.4 Take the first, interest-free gold loan from the bank. Do NOT take any subsequent loan, if you need this then you should rewind and rethink your choices. You should never need to take out a second loan with the bank after the first gold loan.

5. Choices. Remember that “moral choices” all follow the “standard wisdom”, and you will always be rewarded for the “right” ones and punished for the “wrong” ones somewhere down the line. Since in this day of evil, people no longer know what this means, have a neo-morality based upon radical equality and thought-control of dissenters, here is what USED to count as moral behaviour in the “Old Western World”, and you will need it in this game :
5.1 Be good to people
5.2 Be generous
5.3 Do not cheat
5.4 Keep your word
5.5 Reward the righteous
5.6 Show mercy to the wicked when caught and in your power
5.7 IMPORTANT: Indulge your family and never ignore their needs

6. Take the advice on board, and I am sure you will do well, your grace.

Good Luck!
