Ein Tutorial wie man FSX-SE richtig von seinem Computer löscht, um ihn dann als sauberes Programm erneut zu installieren, denn einfach nur deinstallieren allein reicht nicht aus…A tutorial how to uninstall FSX-SE from your computer correctly to reinstall it as a clean program again, because simply uninstalling is not enough…

Uninstall the FSX main program

Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten den FSX zu deinstallieren.

There are two ways to uninstall the FSX.

1. Klickt mit der rechten Maustaste in eurer Bibliothek auf den Eintrag “Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition” und wählt “Deinstallieren” aus.

   Right-click on the “Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition” entry in your library and select “Uninstall”.

   
2. Oder wählt in der Systemsteuerung den Eintrag “Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition” mit Rechtsklick aus und wählt dort “Deinstallieren”.

   Or select “Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition” in the control panel with right-click and choose “Uninstall”.

   

Wenn der Deinstallationsprozess abgeschlossen ist, starte den PC neu.

When the uninstall process is finished, restart the PC.

Delete the 5 FSX folders

Um eine anschließend saubere Installation durchzuführen müssen noch fünf weitere Ordner gelöscht werden. Wenn man dies nicht machen sollte bleiben immer Rückstände der vorherigen Installation auf der Festplatte zurück die bei einer erneuten Installation mit einbezogen werden und zu Problemen führen, da diese fünf Ordner NICHT bei der Deinstallationsroutine automatisch gelöscht werden.

In order to perform a subsequent clean installation, five additional folders must be deleted. If you do not do this, always keep back the previous installation on the hard disk, which will be included in a new installation and cause problems, because these five folders are NOT automatically deleted during the uninstallation routine.

1. Steam -> steamapps -> common -> FSX
2. Documents -> Microsoft Flight Simulator X Files
3. Local Disk (C:) – > ProgramData -> Microsoft -> FSX
4. Local Disk (C:) -> Users -> Your Name -> AppData -> Roaming -> Microsoft -> FSX
5. Local Disk (C:) -> Users -> Your Name -> AppData -> Local -> Microsoft -> FSX

Sollte einer dieser Ordner nicht sichtbar sein (meistens ist es der “ProgramData” und “AppData”-Ordner) müßt ihr die Sichtbarkeit für versteckte Ordner und Programme ändern.

If one of these folders is not visible (usually the “ProgramData” and “AppData” folder) you have to change the visibility for hidden folders and programs.

Jetzt kann der FSX-SE wieder bei Steam gedownloadet und installiert werden ohne das irgendwelche alten Dateien die Installation behindern.

Now the FSX-SE can be downloaded and reinstalled on Steam without any old files obstructing the installation.
