Night 1

Night 1 is a breeze, as Springtrap hasn’t even arrived at the attraction yet! However, the new Phone Guy (who sounds like one of those stereotypical Californian surfer dudes) informs you of found artifacts for the attraction.

Other than that, you can experiment with your new little toys such as your maintenance cam, located on the left side of your office by clicking on the bottom orange bar, and your ol’ trusty cam, positioned on the right side of your office.

I’ll go into these in detail in the next section.

Your Tools

So, as always, you’re sitting in your office, only given tools to survive against the possessed entities that go on about during your night shift. In this game, you are given two tools: A display of security cams that’s located on the right side of your office, and a maintenance cam that’s on the left side of your office, visualized as an orange bar on the bottom of the screen.

The Camera

In your cam, there are two layers of cam levels: The vent cams and the original cams. The vent cams can be activated by pressing Map Toggle, which will switch its level. Here, you can double click on a certain cam icon to close the vent door that is selected. The vent cams should be used if Springtrap has gone into the vents, which can be identified if you hear vent noises. Although I’m not particularly sure yet, I don’t think double clicking on a vent door that’s closed will open again, which doesn’t seem to really affect anything other than making Springtrap go away if he’s ever in that vent that was just closed.

The other function in your cam is the Audio button, which is your most important tool, as it is significantly only one of your tools to surviving your stay in Fazbear Fright. The audio tool is used against Springtrap, which can lure him back to prevent him from getting any further to your room, but whenever you use your audio tool a couple of times, it has to “recharge” and will cause errors, labeled as Audio Error which will needed to be fixed by going on the maintenance cam and selecting Audio Devices. To lure Springtrap away from your office, simply find him when starting your night (applies for Night 2 and above), and when you do find him, use your audio button on the previous room before that and the cam should buffer and show him in that room. If you don’t see him there, there’s a couple of possibilities (in which I know of so far):

  • A. The audio must’ve have an error, which can be debugged at the maintenance cam. You can see if it has an error on the top left of your cam which would display a red error note.
  • B. Springtrap is actually there but can be hard to look at.
  • C. Springtrap has moved onto the vents, which is usually followed by noises in the vents. If you hear noises in the vents, get to your vent cams, find Springtrap, and lock the vent door on that cam ASAP.
  • D. Springtrap probably has moved onto another room, probably with the decision of not believing your decoy.

The Maintenance Cam

The Maintenance Cam is like your backup tool when there’s an error that just occurred. When you don’t take care of an error (ESPECIALLY THE VENTILATION~!), it’ll result in a blinking red light in your office and an alarm to sound off, which I do believe lures in Springtrap to your room much quicker. So when something does happen while you’re taking care of Springtrap, immediately fix it.
Also, a tip, when you get more than one error, try using Reboot All, which takes more time as there’s more errors other than fixing them individually.

Night 2

OK, this is where things start to get REAL tonight. So, after jumping into Night 2, the new Phone Dude (I should probs call him that, hehe) informs you of an animatronic that the company has found, which is Springtrap. He also tells you of audio cassettes of instructions for employees of Fazbear Entertainment, which refers to the original Phone Guy back in FNAF 1 & 2. Suddenly, you are then left alone with Phone Guy talking about how to wear an animatronic suit while panickly looking for Springtrap in the cams.
Note: Apart from Springtrap being active this night, the Phantoms are also activated in this night and onwards to later nights. Credit to PigMayor02 for pointing this out.

Surviving Night 2

So Springtrap starts in Cam 10 of the attraction, located on the top right of your cams. He starts moving once the camera starts to buffer. To take care of Springtrap, simply find him and lure him back by using your audio button on the previous room of the room he’s in.
For example, if Springtrap is seen in Cam 8, simply lure him back on Cam 9 and he should be there. If you see Springtrap in front of you from the window, lure him out of there using Cam 2.
If there are any occurrences of errors, quickly fix it in your maintenance cam and hop on back to your cams and find Springtrap.
If you hear Springtrap in the vents, quickly check on the vent cams of your cams and find him on one of the cams. If you find him, double click on the cam he’s in to close the door of that particular vent, preventing Springtrap from getting any further. However, if you don’t close the doors in time when the cam starts to buffer, you’re unforunately dead meat.
Otherwise, you shouldn’t have any problems passing this night.

Night 3

Just as expected, the game gets harder each night you progress. Springtrap becomes a bit more aggressive in moving while the hallucinations begin to roll in. If you wanna get going, you’ll have to start having sheer focus if you’re gonna make through the later nights.

Surviving Night 3

I honestly haven’t passed Night 3 myself (as of the game dated release, 3/2/15), but I’ve gathered enough information and tips from DawkosGames’ Stream and other FNAF 3 gameplays as well.
So basically, follow the strategy I listed in Night 2 but just become aware that you will likely be jumpscared by a hallucination, whether it’d be BB in the Cams, Freddy strolling by your window, Chica in the arcade machine, etc. Luckily, the hallucinations only affect your ventilation (or the audio, if facing against Phantom Mangle), which will needed to be debugged. However, you’ll just have to get used to these jumpscares, get on fixing the bug, and jumping back on the cams to find Springtrap as he can be sneaky. If you find him, rinse and repeat the audio strategy and you should be advancing to Night 4 in no time.
If you don’t see Springtrap in the place he’s in the cams, check the nearest vent cam he’s on, as he CAN be there. You have to be very quick, as losing sight of him in the vents will result in a quick demise.

The Hallucinations/Phantoms

So, around Night 2, you should’ve at least encountered a hallucination which resulted into your ventilation being bugged. Furthermore, I do believe there’s a total of five six hallucinations you encounter while you monitor Springtrap’s attempt in killing you. Here, I’ll list down what to do with each hallucination and how they approach you.

  • Phantom Puppet/Marionette: The Puppet hallucination can start as early as Night 2 in Cam 9, who can be seen standing in its full form in the background. If looked at for too long or leaving the cams on that cam, the Marionette’s demented face will begin staring at you in your office, making you unable to check your cams and maintenance cams. This phase approx. goes for 10 seconds, after it would go away and bug your ventilations.

How to deal with Phantom Puppet: From what I’ve heard, you can prevent a hallucination from happening by looking in another cam, so if you see any hallucination in the cams (e.g. BB/Chica/Marionette), quickly change your cam. If attacked, quickly fix the ventilation after the Marionette finishes its spooky stare.

  • Phantom Freddy: Phantom Freddy can start occurring by Night 2, who would stroll by the window in front of you slowly. If you look at him directly, Phantom Freddy will swoop down the window and will proceeds its jumpscare if you look at the door. Thus, this will cause the ventilation to brake and be required to repair.

How to deal with Phantom Freddy: In my experience, Phantom Freddy isn’t much of a hard hallucination to avoid among all the Phantoms. You can avoid him by proceeding on looking at the cams/fixing the bugs, but whatever you do, just don’t stare at him for too long. If attacked, just fix the ventilation as fast as you can and go back to monitoring Springtrap.

  • Phantom Foxy: Throughout my experience of playing FNaF 3, Foxy seems to be the most hardest hallucination to avoid, as I couldn’t really find where he is in the cams. Phantom Foxy will jump at you upon looking at the door which I think can possibly bug all three things on your maintenance cam.

How to deal with Phantom Foxy: According to Dinky Doo, Phantom Foxy can be avoided if you look back at your cams when you see a bit of his body nearby the doorway. From Liamu’s info, Foxy can also be avoided if you reduce the time you spend looking at your cams. EDIT: From Liamu, staying on a cam too long seems to trigger Foxy, so try switching cams often when necessary.

  • Phantom BB: Likewise, BB has been the most beloved hated character out of all animatronics in the FNaF franchise. And guess what? He’s back in this game and somewhat still annoying as ever! Apart from that, Phantom BB can be seen in almost cam (I believe), covering the cam with his silhouette and jumpscaring you if you don’t do anything.

How to deal with Phantom BB: I’m not particularly sure if BB forces you to pull down the Cam but if you ever see his silhouette in the cam you’re looking at, quickly switch to another cam to prevent him from jumpscaring you. As always, if attacked, debug the ventilation and go back to taking care of Springtrap.

  • Phantom Chica: Phantom Chica is somewhat a moderate hallucination to deal with, sort of like Phantom Freddy. She appears in Cam 7 with her face lit on an arcade machine. Like Phantom BB, she’ll jumpscare you if you get out of your cams or for staring at it too long.

How to deal with Phantom Chica: Phantom Chica should be somewhat moderately easy to deal with, as she only appears in Cam 7. If you ever see her on Cam 7, follow the strategy for BB. Otherwise, if attacked, go ahead and debug the ventilation to continue keeping track of Springtrap.

  • Phantom Mangle: Phantom Mangle appears in Cam 4 and has the functions of Phantom BB/Chica. Looking at Phantom Mangle for too long or taking off your cams while she’s still visible in the cam will result to a loud noise to occur, with (Mangle?) peeking through your window on the bottom left. This will bug your audio which will needed to be fixed.
How to deal with Phantom Mangle: From speculation, I do believe you can follow the same strategy for BB/Chica, practically just like eluding on any of the hallucinations. Like always, if attacked, debug any bug(s) you get and get back on Springtrap.

And that’s all for this section; onwards to Night 4.

Night 4

And here you are, Night 4; you’re almost done with your stay at Fazbear’s Fright! Unfortunately, Springtrap and the Phantoms will begin to be more active for this night and the night afterwards. So, you better get your butt going in the cams once the Night commences.

Surviving Night 4

There’s really nothing to say much about Night 4, other than your adversaries being more pumped up than the night before, meaning you’ll need to focus more into distracting Springtrap and avoiding the Hallucinations as much as you can. Use the skills you’ve learned that I listed at the past nights, such as quickly sealing the vent door upon hearing noise in the vents, using the audio to deter Springtrap’s progress, and fixing the errors in the maintenance cam upon encountering a hallucination. Otherwise, good luck!

Night 5

Coming soon..

Night 6 (Nightmare Mode)

Coming soon..

(Guide for Aggressive Nightmare Mode?)

I’m probably going to do this as a bonus. However, it’s best to look for a guide fully focused on this night.

Miscellaneous

This section is for addressing easter eggs and the minigames. Note that this section will continue to change as there may be more easter eggs to be found.

Paper Plate Easter Egg

(Credit to Dinky Doo for finding it and screencapping it)
There isn’t much to talk about the Paper Plate, other than it being an unknown (and likely possessed) entity that visits you in your office, hanging by the box of the Toys’ heads.
If you didn’t know, the Paper Plate has actually appeared in FNaF 2, being seen in Party Room 4 and sometimes by the right of your office’s main entrance.

Freddy’s Nose

This easter egg is like a traditional easter egg in the whole FNaF franchise. In FNaF 3, clicking on Freddy’s nose on the poster will emit a squeaky clown horn, which has always been the same from the previous two games.

The End

Again, BEWARE – SPOILERS!

Before I continue, I know the gun was jumped here, and N5 – 6 haven’t been done. However, people want to know about this ending. Images will be added later on, to show what to do. With that out of the way, I’ll continue. If you haven’t realized yet, this section’s titled, “The End,” so if you want to avoid any spoilers, you’re obliged to skip.

The End Guide

by Swagbaku

To get The End, simply follow these (not-so) simple steps.

1. Wait N1 out, and go to the minigame. Once you are in the minigame, go left, then down until you reach a hall with letters on one side, and 16 buttons with 4 highlighted yellow on the other. These are hints to access minigames hidden throughout the game. The letters mean Balloon Boy double click, while the buttons mean the sequence you press buttons on the arcade machine to get Mangle’s minigame. Now that you’ve done this, go follow the Purple Freddy.

2. On N2, go to Cam 08, and double click the Balloon Boy poster on the wall. You’ll be taken to BB Air Adventures and what you have to do is collect all the ballons. However, instead of exiting, you’ll notice it says there is still one balloon left. Go to the highest left platform, and from there, jump while moving left. You should go through the wall, and start falling. From here, keep going right until you find a room with a rainbow balloon. Jump towards it, and you should phase through the wall again. Collect the balloon, and the minigame will end.

3. (THIS IS ONLY DO-ABLE ON N2) After you get the balloon, go to Cam 07. You’ll notice 2 sets of 4 buttons. On the left set, click the buttons in this order; top left, bottom left, top right, bottom right. With this done, Mangle’s minigame will begin. The point of this game is simple. Avoid the kid, collect your parts. Once you have all your parts, instead of exiting, jump to the platform above the exit. Here, you can jump forward and phase through the wall. When you land, go left until you get to the balloons. From here, just jump up all the balloons and go to the cake at the end, and the mini will end.

4. Return to the BB minigame, collect the balloons, and drop out the map again. This time, you should land on balloons. Continue walking and you’ll find a crying kid. Walk up to him and he’ll be given cake. After this, he’ll stop crying, and the mini will end. Now you can finish N2 normally.

5. During the N2 minigame as Bonnie, return to the hallway. You’ll see now there’s just 4 Cupcakes there. This is a hint, because on N3, you have to click 4 cupcakes found in different cameras. Now go follow Purple Freddy.

6. On N3 (and only N3), look in Cam 02, 03, 04 and 06. In each of these, there is a cupcake (refer to Misc section – Chica’s Party to see where). Click these cupcakes, and Chica’s Party will start. OPTIONAL; give the kids cupcakes found around the place. When you begin, just walk right until you end up in the next area. Drop in the hole you see, and while still on the platforms, go left. You should be able to jump inbetween the above roof and the wall, and get to a new area. Here, there is a crying kid. Give him cake, and the minigame will end. Finish N3 normally.

7. During the N3 minigame as Chica blah blah hallway blah blah hint. The hint is 6 numbers; 395248. Blah blah Purple Freddy.

8. On N4, 9 tiles on your wall become treated as a ‘number pad’. This means the top 3 tiles are 1,2,3, the middle row is 4,5,6 and the bottom row is 7,8,9. On the top row, 1 is where one of the guitar edges ends. You can test the tile by clicking it. If it flashes, it’s the 1 tile. Now, click the following tiles, in the order stated in step 7; 395248. If done correctly, a minigame should start.

9. Now, this minigame is sort of difficult to explain, so imagine you are INSIDE the 1 tile, and all tiles are in the same places (2 and 3 in the same row as you, 4 and 7 directly under you, etc). To finish this minigame, drop down from the stage, then walk into it without jumping. It should force you THROUGH the floor, and drop you from 1, passed 4 and landing under 7. Keep going right until you reach 9 (the area with an exit). Jump up the left side of 9, and it should force you up. When you get to the top of 9, jump left to land on the side of 8, and climb up. From here, go under the Springtrap in 5, and jump around that area. It should force you inside 5. Walk to the right until you are at the wall, then jump, and you’ll be forced onto the top of 5. Again, jump around under the Springtrap of 2, and you’ll be forced through. This time, go to the left end on the stage, and jump. You will be forced ontop of 2. Now just walk right, and drop into 3. A crying kid will be there. Give him cake. Minigame over. Finish N4.

10. This time, when you get to the N4 minigame from completing the night, you’ll be Foxy. So just walk down to get to the hallway. The hint…? Shadow Bonnie. Oooooh spooooooky. Go die to Fre- I mean, let him help you.

11. Night 5. This is it. The last Night you need to do involving easter eggs. On your desk, there is a hard-to-see Shadow Bonnie. Double click it, and you’ll be taken to some… weird… Bonnie minigame. It’s weird, because you can visit all places from before by pressing down. Also Bonnie is glitched, and can fly like a bird while his body parts glitch everywhere. Press down until you get to BB’s place, go to the left platform, and jump through the wall. Now, swap areas until you get the crying kid in the purple area. Give him cake.

12. This is the final step to getting ‘The End’. On Cam 03, there’s a Marionette picture on the wall. Double click it to be taken to his minigame. Now, if you’ve done everything right, then when you go to the end of the room, there will be 4 kids with masks on and 1 crying kid. Walk up to the table, and place the cake, and gg. You did it. You should be greeted with the sight of Balloons going into the air and the kids disappearing, leaving the masks behind. Once you beat N5, finish the game normally. Get the Purple Man killed inside Springtrap, then get the ending screen. However, instead of saying Bad Ending with the heads lit up, it should say The End with no lights inside the heads.

Congratulations, you got the True Ending.
