Slash Beat

Locations: Port Zekson, Port Cadnix, Reneed, Yseult, Hellawes, Taliesin

Rules: Select a challenger and try to do as much damage as possible within the time limit. The controls are the same as a standard battle, and BG is restores at the start of the round. TL Coins are awarded based on the challenger’s level, the damage done, and the rank earned.

Serving Game

Rules: This is a game where you try to bring the right orders to the customers. Customers who are waiting to have their orders taken will have speech bubbles over their heads. Start by taking their orders. Next, head over to the counter to collect the proper orders from the head cook. If you pick up the wrong order, you can get rid of it by pressing Square or Triangle.

Lastly, take the right orders to the right customers. Each time you do so, it will count as a successful order. If you bring a customer a wrong order or make them wait too long, they will get angry, and it will count as a failed order. Each completed order, whether success or failure, will count toward the required amount of orders to complete each stage. But you still need to be careful! You are only allowed a limited number of failed orders before getting a game over.

Each game is played in a series of three stages. When you finish a stage, you can choose whether to continue to the next stage or to quit the game. If you quit the game, you will be rewarded with TL Coins based on the number of stages you cleared. If you continue to play, you will go on to the next stage, where there will be more customers and a greater number of orders to fill. However, the rewards will also be greater.

The key to the game is carefully watching for the customers’ orders while working efficiently to deliver their orders before they get angry. You can carry multiple dishes at one time, so try to plan your route to be as efficient as possible. If you’re short on time, it can sometimes be better to carry a lighter load.

Character/Reward

  • Laphicet/Serving Clothes (Laphicet), Servant’s Bow Tie
  • Velvet/Serving Clothes (Velvet), Servant’s Ribbon Tie
  • Rokurou/Serving Clothes (Rokurou)
  • Eleanor/Serving Clothes (Eleanor)
  • Eizen/Serving Clothes (Eizen)
  • Magilou/Serving Clothes (Magilou)

Tips: The speech bubbles over the customer’s head will indicate how impatient they are, with the bubble blinking if you fail to take their order or deliver their order in a timely fashion. Focus on filling the orders of existing customers before taking new orders, so you don’t get confused, but take an order if you absolutely are running low on time. Generally, you can get away with only taking and delivering two orders at a time.

After serving a customer a correct dish they will have a heart over their head that indicates they are enjoying their food. While customers are enjoying their food they can’t ask for more dishes and will have to wait before they can order any more food.

Memorizing the list of all the dishes is key, since you won’t have time to search for a dish on the list.

Character Cards

Locations: Locations: Reneed, Yseult, Loegres, Stonebury, Taliesin, Katz Village

Rules: The goal of this game is to claim matching pairs of cards to collect scoring sets. Begin each turn by choosing one card from your hand and playing it on the field. If a card with a matching title is currently on the field, you may take both cards into your scoring pile. If there is no match, your card remains on the field. Next, draw a card from the deck, place it on the field, and resolve as above. This ends the turn.

Each card belongs to a scoring set indicated by an icon on the lower right of the card. Scoring sets are formed once you collect a certain number of cards belonging to that set. Your number of currently claimed cards of each set is displayed on the screen’s right.

Once you’ve completed a scoring set, you may end the round and collect points for your sets. You may also opt to continue the round, but you won’t be able to end the round and collect points until you’ve completed another set. Continuing allows you to reach for higher points, but risks your opponents completing a set first and opting to end the round in their favor. Select “Scoring Sets” to see the sets along with their scores and required counts.

The winner is the player with the most points at the end of three rounds. The winner will be rewarded with Tales Coins, with higher scores earning more coins.

Location/Reward

  • Reneed/Eizen’s Glasses
  • Yseult/Pirate Hat
  • Loegres/Collar
  • Stonebury/Black Shiba Inu Ears
  • Taliesin /Pompadour
  • Katz Village/ Boss Clothes (Eizen)

Tips: Some sets are easier to finish than others and some sets require you to obtain all the cards of that type, meaning if your opponent gets a single card in that set it will never be able to complete the set. Going for these sets is ill advised, as a single lucky draw by the opponent could make all your collecting for that set pointless. This means that your best options are Heroic Scion, Sworn Ally, and Renegade, but keep an eye out for the low number sets like Crown Princess and Ninja and try to block other sets by taking at least 1 of that type.
