This is my 2021 Mod List, it contains 219 mod files, with 60 plugins, its been checked in XEdit and all mods play very well together, the majority of the list is texture replacers used to make Oblivion look as good as it can in 2021, I give step by step instructions for every thing

First Things You Need To Do
A Clean Install
I recommend everyone do this, it will minimize any problems you may or may not have, Oblivion is a 5gb download, that should not take very long to download, just take the time to do it right from the start and when modding Oblivion you don’t want the game in your program files directory, if you have never modded Oblivion before and you have the game in your Program Directory, just do the Clean Install
Before you start you need to delete all previous oblivion folders, especially if you have ever used mods before, they can be left over files you are unaware of that can cause serious hiccups, first open file explorer and go to what ever drive you have your game installed on, go to steam/steamapps/common and delete the Oblivion folder.
Now go to Users/?Your User Name?/Documents/My Games and delete the Oblivion folder, Now go to Users/?Your User Name?/AppData/Local and delete the Oblivion folder, Now go to Steam and under your game library right click Oblivion, go to manage, then Uninstall
Now reinstall Oblivion and DO NOT put it in your Program Files Directory, once installed, boot the game one time and close it out, make sure and do this, you have to boot the game one time to establish the .ini files for the game
Do Not put the game in the Programs File Directory
When you are modding games you can not have those games installed into the Programs Files directory, when the game is installed here it will be under the control of the Windows User Account and Windows will block any outside programs from making any changes to any program in the Program Files Directory, so when you install a mod or any file that makes changes to the game.exe or any other file in that game, Windows will not allows this, some files might work fine, others will not work at all, it’s Modding 101, you don’t put your games here.
If you do not know how to set up another Steam Game Library Folder outside of Program Files Directory
Click Steam top left corner, then scroll down and click downloads, then at the top you will see Steam Library Folders, click it, then click Add Library Folder, add your Library Folder to another drive, then redownload Oblivion and direct it there, or right click Oblivion in your game library on the left, select properties, then Local Files, then Move install folder and direct it to your new game library folder
If you must use an ssd
if you are going to put it on your ssd then you must do the following to get Steam, out of the Program Files directory, Steam only allows one game folder per drive, so as long as Steam is installed in the Program Files Directory, you can not simply make another folder on your C Drive outside of Program Files you must move Steam out, and this is how.
First you have to exit Steam, not just close it out, Exit out from the top left corner, then go to
C-Drive/Program Files (x86)/Steam and Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps & Userdata folders and Steam.exe, now move that main Steam folder to your C-Drive, once it is done, boot Steam from the Steam.exe in the new folder, your desktop icons or start menu icons for steam will no longer be any good, you can make new ones, all so all of your desktop icons for games will disappear, to fix this before you delete all the old steam files out, save a folder inside titled steam/games, inside it you will see all of your desktop icons, back it up and drag it in afterwards, if not you will have to verify the contents of the games in order to get the desktop icon back, and if any of those games are modded you do not want to verify them, after you boot from the exe, let Steam update and then login in and you are good to go, to make a new desktop icon just go to that steam folder and right click the Steam.exe and select create shortcut then drag the shortcut to your desktop, while steam is open, right click it on your taskbar and select pin

Update your Drivers
Makesure all your drivers are up to date, I run a Nvidia/Intel sytem so i use these for my drivers For Intel- [link]
For Nvidia- use Nvidia’s App called GeForce Experience
For my audio drivers and other drivers I use device manager, just type in Device manager in the windows serach box
If you use AMD hardware and do not know how to update your drivers just google it
Performance Tips
Oblivion is an old game, you can get a CTD related to memory management, not often but it can happen, you will have an occasional micro shutter, the game came out in 2006, its a 32 bit game, and can only utilize one core of your CPU, if you do the following and grab all the stability fixes and follow all my directions properly the game will run good for as long as you want it to with this mod list
When playing Oblivion kill all background processes not needed to play Oblivion, turn off Steam Overlay
Oblivion was made to be played at 30fps, an occasional microstutter is gonna happen, when a new cell is loading in, is when it happens the most, it is nothing that will make it unplayable, you can still enjoy Oblivion for hundreds of hours with this mod list
Nvidia Users
Open up Nvidia Control Panel, and select manage 3d settings, on the right side of the screen select the Program Settings Tab, then select the Add button, Then select oblivion, and scroll down and enable the following
Max Frame Rate- 55fps
Power management mode- Prefer Maximum Performance
Threaded optimization- On
Triple Buffering- On
Vertical Sync- On
After make sure and select Apply at the bottom
Make sure Antialiasing- Mode is on Application-controlled for Enb
Tools
Modding Tools Folder
Make a new folder, name it Modding Tools and place it somewhere safe where you will find it and somewhere that you want ever have to move it, and do not put it in the programs file directory.
File Archiver
You are going to need a program to help you extract compressed files, i have used several and in my opinion this is the best one and it is free called Any Zip

Just go to the microsoft app store and type in Any Zip
If you want to use another or already use a different one that is fine my second choice would be [link] 64bit
Wrye Bash– [link]
Once here click the Files tab and download the top main file titled Wrye Bash 308 – Installer by clicking Manual Download, Microsoft Defender might try and block this download at the end, just select Keep Anyway, after create a new folder in your Modding Tools folder, name it Wrye Bash and move the downloaded executable to this folder, once it’s there double click it to run it and Windows will try and block it again because it does not recognize it, just click Run anyway, then select Next, then check box Install for Oblivion, and don’t check box anything else, just click next until you reach the last page, Select Components to Install, select all 3 and click install, after it will say please select which Wyre Bash Installation you would like to run right now, you should only have Oblivion to check box, check it and select close, after the mod manager will launch I suggest you pin it to your task bar for now, just right click the icon at the bottom on your task bar and select pin to taskbar, otherwise you will have to go find the exe in the mopy folder in your game folder to launch the mod manager and since you are gonna be in and out of here a lot until you finish it is best to pin it, if it bothers you after you finish the guide you can unpin it, when it launches you will notice it opens up a manual for the mod manager in your web browser, book mark it, you might find it useful later
Now in the mod manager, click the Installers tab, top left corner and it will say Do you want to enable installers, select yes, let it do it’s thing after it’s done close out the mod manager, that installers tab is were you will drag all the mod downloads to, and install them there, the tab beside it titled Mods is were your Plugins are, after you install a mod you have to go there and enable the plugins and use LOOT to sort them, I will leave some good links on using this as a mod manager and I describe everything very detailed so if you are new to Wrye Bash as a mod manager you want have any problems
LOOT–[link]
Click the Download LOOT Button, another page will come up, here select LOOT.installer.exe, create a new folder inside your Modding Tools folder and name it LOOT, move the exe there, then run it and direct it to that folder, you can pin LOOT to your taskbar for faster access or use the desktop icon
At the top of the screen on LOOT there is a drop down menu, set it to TES IV Oblivion if it is not already by default, using LOOT all you will do here is, there are 4 icons in the top right corner the first one is to sort your plugins, the icon looks like three lines going side ways, hover your mouse over it, it will say Sort Plugins, after you enable a plugin you come here and click that icon, after you click apply and thats all there is to it

BOSS vs LOOT
A lot of people will say BOSS is better for sorting your plugins on Oblivion, but it is not, LOOT is better, LOOT sorts the Official DLC and all the Unofficial Patch plugins properly, BOSS does not and it has them spread out all over the place, and BOSS can’t properly detect mods outside of it’s master list, but LOOT detects and properly sorts all mods and record conflicts, on top of that BOSS has not been updated since January 5, 2016
XEdit is an essential tool to know how to use you want to get into modding The Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, when you add new mods you always want to check them for conflicts and errors with Xedit, it also allows you to make simple patches to make 2 mods get along, for my mod list you want be using it, I have already checked everything, but you still need to have it and read up on it if you want to mod, I have several helpful video tutorials pinned in my Skyrim Modding Guide if you want to learn, I did not pin them here because this guide does not require you to use it and if you decide to add mods not on my list check them for conflicts and errors

Once here click the Files tab and download the Main File by clicking the manual download button, after create a folder in your Modding Tools Folder and name it Oblivion XEdit and extract the download to it

Do Not clean your DLC’s
There is no proof to support cleaning the dlc will improve anything on any of the Bethesda games except Skyrim, actually Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 Mods expects ITMs and Deleted References to be there, there is all kinds of out posts out there of users claiming I cleaned the DLC now my game is broke, I never have, because I know better, you don’t need to fix what is not broke in the first place, others will tell you to clean them, but thats there opinion, not a fact, Do Not Clean them
BethINI– [link]
Download the main file and extract it and place it in your modding tools folder, after open it up and run the BethINI.exe, select Oblivion, Check mark Recommended Tweaks, then select Ultra, then select Save and Exit.

When Downloading Mods
When i say a manual download, what i mean is follow the mod link I have listed and click the files tab on the mod page and on the file I say to download, click manual download. You can’t use the mod manager download with Wyre Bash
HELPFUL INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MODDING
Before downloading any Mods
The first thing you need to do when you reach a mod page is read the description and the requirements for the mod, all so check out the comments, most of the time authors will pin instructions in the comment sections and sometime if users are having issues they will comment, but be careful, in more cases then none those comments are by incompetent users, I don’t know how many times I have seen newbies on there saying a mod is broke, when I know for 100% fact it works because I use it.
Always know exactly what the mod does that you add and never add a bunch of mods at one time, only add a few at a time and play for a while to see if any problems occur, what ever the mods change you added, go check that out specifically, it may take longer to get your game modded, but this is the safest way to insure nothing goes wrong
Updating Mods
If you have already started your play through with a load order, don’t update any of the mods if an update becomes available, if its a mesh or texture replacer then it will be fine, but if it is a scripted mod, then don’t update it, it could break your save depending on whats in the update, you shouldnt have to worry about this with Oblivion most of all these mods I use have been around a long time and want be getting any updates, either way you need to know, don’t do it
Modding Saved Games
You can only mod a saved game if it is a Vanilla save, or you are adding mods to it,if you have had mods on that save and removed then, it is not a good idea to put new mods on to the save or continue to play that save, When you remove mods from a save file, you always want to revert back to a previous save file that was made before you added the particular mod you are removing, if you do not listen it can cause some serious problems with the play through, those plugins are baked into the save and even removing it does not remove it from the save file and in most cases you may not notice any thing immediately and think you got away with it, but what you did was make your play through unstable, and you will see the effects much later, or you will see the effects immediately CTD or the save will be corrupt and not load at all, You can however safely remove mesh and texture replacement mods all you want, But never remove scripted mods from a play through without reverting back to a previous save file made before the removed mod was installed
Always use the manual save method, never use quick saves, and always make lots of saves all through your play through, and always make a save before you add a new mod, don’t overwrite saves, just make a new one
Do not load in on Auto-Saves, just don’t use them and if you get a ctd, chances are if you load a auto save you will get it again, always load and play on manual saves only
Always make a save before you add a new mod, that way if there are problems you can remove the mod and revert back to that save
Before you start you are going to want to clean up your downloads folder, if you have a lot of stuff in there, you can make a new folder and name it whatever and move it all in there for now to get it out of the way, you will be in and out of this folder a lot during this guide and it makes it easier and less confusing to work with an empty downloads folder, after you install the mods you can make a new folder and name it Oblivion Mods and put all the packed files in it to store as a back up like I do, I back up all my mods on all games on a external drive, you never know when a mod page will disappear on Nexus and you want ever be able to get that file again, if you don’t want to back them up then just delete them after you install them, do not let your downloads folder pile up, it leaves to much room for a mistake down the road
Before You Download Anything
These mods listed in my guide should be Endorsed, they all deserve it and an Endorsement shows some appreciation for all the hard work the Authors put in for FREE so we can play Oblivion looking Beautiful, so please hit that ENDORSE button, it cost you nothing, just a click of the mouse
To Test Mods With
Here is a clean vanilla save with the game completed that you can use to test mods on.

Download with a manual download and extract the download, then copy/paste the save file into this location, Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Saves
This is a spell that shows up in Lesser Powers when used transports you straight to the Oblivion Realm, you can use this with that save above to test the Oblivion Realm mods
Master Of Oblivion– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wyre Bash click the installers tab at the top left corner and drag the download in and select copy, once it’s in there right click it and select install, then go over to the mods tab and enable the new plugin by check boxing it, then run LOOT to sort
Wrye Bash Material
There is not a lot of material out there for using Wrye Bash as a mod manager, I tried to find what I could to help you understand how to use it, I think I gave good instructions underneath the download links for Wrye Bash and LOOT and after every mod, but some people prefer to learn from a video and theres just not many out there

Stability and Fixes
Script Extender– [link]
Once here click the xOBSE22.1.zip to download, the numbers may be different, that just means it got updated since I made this, either way thats what you download, after it is download create a new folder in your downloads folder to extract this to because it is not in a main folder, it’s a bunch of loose files, after copy/paste these following 4 files into your main game folder steamapps/common/Oblivion, just inside the main game folder, not inside any of the folders in the game folder, if you did not know you can select these files by holding the ctrl key and clicking each one with your mouse after right click on any one of them and select copy

After to make sure this is working boot the game and start a new game, agree to what ever character, you dont have to make one here just be fast, and once you have conmtrol of the character, make a save and after close the game, now go here
Users/?Your User Name?/Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Saves and look at that new save it should say OBSE File under file type out from the save, it will normally say ESS File, but since you are using script extender it will say OBSE FIle and thats how you know it is working
Now go to your game folder here steamapps/common/Oblivion and open up the Data folder and make a new folder inside that Data folder and name it OBSE, then open up that OBSE folder you just made and make a new folder inside it and name it Plugins
1.EngineBugFixes– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download into a new folder and open it up until you get to the files titled EngineBugFixes.dll and EngineBugFIxes.ini and copy/paste them both into this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins
2.4gb Ram Patcher– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download and extract the download, inside that new folder double click 4gb patch.exe and direct it to your Oblivion.exe and select Open bottom right corner, after you will get a pop up saying Executable Successfully Patched, now do it again and this time direct it to your OblivionLauncher.exe after its done the game will now use 4gb of ram instead of it’s default 2gb
3.Oblivion Display Tweaks– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download and open it up until you get to the oblivion_display_tweaks.dll and oblivion_display_tweaks.ini and copy/paste both to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins, after open up the oblivion_display_tweaks.ini and Change bBorderless = 1 to a 0 so it looks like this bBorderless = 0 bUseDynamicBuffers = 1 to a 0 so it looks like this bUseDynamicBuffers = 0, then change iMaxFPSTolerance = 200 to 115 so it looks like this iMaxFPSTolerance = 115 after click file in the top left corner, then click save and close it out
Changing bBorderless will prevent Display Tweaks from enabling borderless window, so you can’t alt-tab out of the game but the game will run in Fullscreen now, which will result in better performance
4.SkyBSA– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download to a new folder and open it up until you get to the SkyBSA.dll and copy/paste it to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins
5.OBL Mod Limit Fix– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download to a new folder and open it up until you get to the mod_limit_fix.dll and mod_limit_fix.ini and copy/paste both to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins
6.NVAC – New Vegas Anti Crash– [link]
This is a Fallout New Vegas file that works with Oblivion and Fallout 3
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download and go into the NVSE/Plugins folder and copy/paste the nvac.dll into this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins
7.Blockhead– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download to a new folder and open it up until you get to the BlockHead.dll and copy/paste it to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins
8.Unofficial Oblivion Patch– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wyre Bash click the installers tab at the top left corner and drag the download in and select copy, once it’s in there right click it and select install and select Yes to the DLL warnings, then go over to the mods tab and enable the 3 new plugins by check boxing all 3, then run LOOT from your taskbar
9.Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wyre Bash click the installers tab at the top left corner and drag the download in and select copy, once it’s in there right click it and select install, then go over to the mods tab and enable the new plugin by check boxing it, then run LOOT from your taskbar
10.Unofficial Oblivion DLC Patches– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wyre Bash click the installers tab at the top left corner and drag the download in and select copy, once it’s in there right click it and select install, then go over to the mods tab and enable the new plugins by check boxing them, there should be a total of 10, don’t enable the Horse Armor one and disable DLCHorseArmor.esp as well, the Horse texture replacer I use is not compatible with it, then run LOOT from your taskbar
11.Oblivion BSA Decompressor– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, extract the download to a new folder, inside that folder double click to run the Oblivion BSA Decompressor.exe, Windows may try and block this, select Run Anyway, then direct it to your main game folder, wherever it’s at mine looks like this

12.Consistent Beggar Voices– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after right click the file and select Install,go over to the mods page and enable the plugin, then run LOOT to sort
13.SB Weapon Drop Fix– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after right click the file and select Install,go over to the mods page and enable the plugin, then run LOOT to sort
If you run into the bug that makes the door of the Mystic Emporium always appear closed and its interior is always a private place for the player

UI
Northern UI resembles Skyrims Skyui and has controller support, Darnified UI looks better, but has no controller support, so it really comes down to if you use a controller or not, if you test them out Northren UI may leave leftovers in your game folder Data/OBSE/Plugins if uninstalled, just clean it up if you are not using it, same with DarNified UI, it may leave leftovers in Data/INI Tweaks and delete the entire [Fonts] section it creates on the Oblivion.ini, if you uninstall
NorthernUI– [link]
Download the top main file titled NorthernUI with a manual download, in Wyre Bash click the installers tab at the top left corner and drag the download in and select copy, once it’s in there right click it and select install, then select Yes to the DLL Warning

DarNified UI– [link]
Download the third Main File titled DarN BAIN wizard with a manual download, on the installers tab in Wyre Bash drag the download in and select copy, after right click the file and Advanced Installation, then Wizard Installer, Manual Wizard, first page select Next at the bottom, next page select All, then next at the bottom, next page select Colored Local Map, then Next at the bottom, next page select Default font, last page select Apply these settings at the Bottom, then Finish, you will get a warning about an ini tweak, allow it, it is adding in a fonts section
Now go to Users/?Your User Name?/Documents/My Games/Oblivion and open up the Oblivion.ini and select left ctrl and F at the same time and type in Fonts and select Find Next, this will take you directly to [Fonts] they will be 5 of them already there, delete all 5 of those and paste these in

Weather, Sky, and ENB
Make sure in the game options HDR is enabled, Enb for Oblivion can not work without it
In Nvidia Control Panel Make sure Make sure Antialiasing- Mode is on Application-controlled for Enb
1.Weather – All Natural– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after right click the file and Advanced Installation, then Wizard Installer, Manual Wizard and select All Natural – No Real Lights, Yes, Yes, then select No for the Bash Filter Patch, on the next page all three boxes checked, then go with Default on all the rest of the pages, last page select Apply these selections and Finish, after go to the mods tab and enable the plugins and run LOOT
If you install All Natural- Full it will come with the abandon interior lighting mod real lights and it makes caves, dungeons, and other interiors very dark, all natural later updated and added this mod to All Natural
2.glistening rain drops– [link]
Click the download arrow in the top right corner, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy then right click the file and select Install
3.Atmospheres 4 Hell– [link]
This is textures for the Oblivion Realm sky that look amazing
Click the download arrow in the top right corner, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy then right click the file and select Install
4.Atmospheres 4 Hell fix– [link]
Click the download arrow in the top right corner, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy then right click the file and select Install
5.Oblivion NightSkies Overhaul– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after on the right side under Sub-Packages check what you want, look at the screnshots on the mod page to compare, I only went with Textures-Stars-2k, after right click the file and select install
6.Improved Moons– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, then right click the file and select install
7.Enb Binaries– [link]
Click the download arrow pointing down to download, create a new folder and extract the download to it, then open up the Wrapper Version folder and copy/paste the d3d9.dll into the game folder steamapps/common/Oblivion
8.Simple ENB– [link]
Download the main file with a manual download, make a new folder and extract the download to it, then copy/paste all the contents of that new folder to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion
Once you boot the game and it loads up, press enter and shift at the same time to bring up the enb menu and you can scroll down until you reach sky and enable it and disable it and see what you like best, what ever changes you make make surte to click Save Configuration or you will have to redo them once you close the game out and reboot it
9.Tell Peter– [link]
This file will all a spell and when used allows you to change the weather
Download the second main file titled Tell Peter for All Natural with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after right click the file and select Install

1.Oblivion 2020 Retexture Project– [link]

Download the main file with a manual download, in Wrye Bash on the Installers page drag the download in, select copy, after right click the file and select Install and select yes to the DLL warning, after if you want a headbob effect when you walk, go to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins and open up the OBSE_EnhancedCamera.ini and change the bEnableHeadBob=0 to a 1, so it looks like this bEnableHeadBob=1, after click file in the top left, then save and close it out

Conflict Resolution
Launch Xedit from the TES4Edit.exe we put in the Modding Tools folder at the start of the guide, first window click ok, next window click ok, it will auto detect all your enabled plugins, so just click ok, on the left side, right click and select apply filter to show conflicts, once it loads in look to the left, there is all your plugins that have conflicts, the ones in Red are conflict losers, which means what ever conflict they are losing, you lose the changes that mod makes, for my mod list the majority of all the conflicts are with the vanilla game files, a very few amount of mod plugins overwriting some things with the unofficial patch plugins, and they are just a couple instance were a mod overwrites another mod, but thats fine, we want it to, the mods are doing exactly what we want them to, you don’t have to do anything here
They are Errors in one plugin titled MinimalMagicEffects.esp
You don’t need a Bash Patch
This mod list is a total of 64 plugins and Wrye Bash states that 26 of these plugins can be merged into a Bash Patch, all the plugins in red text on the Wrye Bash mods tab, when you launch Xedit and you look at these plugins that Wrye Bash says can be merged you will see the majority of them only conflict with the vanilla game and the few that conflict with another mod was done on purpose because I placed it in the load order that way, but Wrye Bash only sees it as a conflict, not an intentional overwrite, when you merge mods into a Bash Patch it can undo changes another mod makes because the Bash Patch has to load last, there is no reason to merge unless you are trying to get under the 255 plugin limit, and If you are merging mods, you should only use Wrye Bash to merge Leveled Lists and you use Xedit to merge plugins properly, on my mod list you will see no benefit from doing so, every plugin is working properly and doing exactly what it is suppose to do
LOD
This will cost a little performance, for me I cap my frames at 45, and I seen as low as 30, but no micro stutters from the LOD just a lower fps for a few seconds then back to 45
If you use this section go back and uninstall Animated Window Lighting System and Chimneys – AWLS after right click the file and Advanced Installation, then Wizard Installer, Manual Wizard, I picked Advanced Smoking Chimneys, then Yes for using RAEVWDF, then for the next 2 pages, then Orange Recommended for the next 2 pages, then Purple, Blue, Yes for Bomrets, then the Recommended option for all the rest of the pages, last page check mark Apply These Settings

Download 3 files here, both main files RAEVWD and RAEVWD SI Edition and the optional file titled RAEVWD SI Bomret Textures. first drag RAEVWD into Wrye Bash, select copy, then right click the file and Advanced Installation, then Wizard Installer, Manual Wizard select Yes to all except Large Rocks, Rocks will tank your fps and they look like crap anyway and at the end check box Apply these settings

Landscape LOD generator tes4ll-v5– [link]
Download the main file, create a new folder, name it Oblivion Landscape Lod Generator and extract the download to this folder then move that folder to your Modding Toold folder, go to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/landscape and copy/paste that landscape folder to your Modding Tools folder as a back up just in case, you can put it inside a new folder and name it Oblivion lod backup and if you want to replace the vanilla game lod after you generate then you go to steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data and delete a folder titled tes4qlod_tex and paste the backup in
Now back to the Modding Tools folder, open up that Oblivion Landscape Lod Generator folder and copy/paste all the contents to your main game folders Data folder steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data
TES4LODGen– [link]
Download the main file and create a new folder and name it Oblivion LodGen and extract the download to it, then move that folder to your Modding Tools folder. This will generate the Lod files to this path steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/DistantLOD, so copy/paste this folder into your Modding Tools folder as a backup just in case you want to remove Lodgen, put it in the Oblivion Lod Backup folder we created for the landscape lod back up
Go here steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data and double click tes4ll_ultimate.bat to run it, and let it run to generate your landscape lod, it will only take a minute or two, then you will get a message at the bottom of tghe black window saying Please close this window and you are done, it generated your new landscape lod to a new folder titled tes4qlod_tex and the old folder we backed up is gone
Now go to your Modding Tools folder, open up the Oblivion LodGen folder and run the TES4LODGen.exe and let it run, it is very fast, when it is done you will get a message at the bottom titled LOD Generator: finished, close it out, and the new lod was generated to this location steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/DistantLOD, to reset it back to vanilla you will delete that DistantLOD folder and copy/paste the backup we made in, if you decide you dont want to use it at all after generating then you delete those folders it generated to and copy/paste the backups back in and uninstall and delete all those lod mods we downloaded and installed in this section
