Graveyard Keeper: Simple Mistakes to Avoid

Overview

This guide will be a compilation of easy to make mistakes that can and will massively disrupt your game-play experience. If there are any missing experiences you see, then please feel free to comment, and I will try to replicate that for a screenshot.

Alchemy Tables I & II

Alchemy Table I Left
Alchemy Table II Right

It should be noted, in any ordinary play-through, that there is no reason to remove your Alchemy Table I. It cannot be upgraded; nor does an Alchemy Table II share any recipes with an Alchemy Table I. When you are able to build an Alchemy Table II, simply build it in any available space, and leave your Alchemy Table I alone.

Building Equipment Too Close Together

As seen in the picture above; placing a desk next to the study table makes the desk unusable.

Unfortunately our character does not understand the concept known as “MOVING THINGS AROUND” and so in order to do so he must destroy what he desires to moves and rebuild it in another location. But sometimes we just want to squeeze in as much stuff into an area as we can. But be careful as to where and how you place things, seeing as each piece equipment can only be worked on via an exact spot around it.

Getting Stuck Almost Anywhere

Left- The pope refuses to step aside and allow our character to commence church.
Right- Teleportation Stone; has unlimited uses, but includes a cool-down between each one.

Our character is a busy man and can only save after sleeping. So to get stuck within the environment is an absolute death sentence to any progress you’ve made since your last save. This of course is not helped by the fact that the game uses particularly odd spacing for it’s everyday objects, which makes judging gaps very difficult to say the least. But, there is a solution! The Teleportation Stone can be bought at the Dead Horse Tavern for 2 Silver. This stone allows its’ user to teleport between discovered locations and is a quick, convenient, and reliable way to move to any location. Please note: having two Teleportation Stones does not allow for double the immediate use; instead the cool-down is applied to both.
