Guide for Beginners (How to build a perfect city)

Overview

Hello all! today i’m going to help you to build a perfect city in Cities Skylines. This is my second guide ever that i made for this game, Hope you like it!

In the Beginning…

In the beginning, we build houses (I’m sure u do it as well). We are not having traffic problems these times. When demands for commercial zones show themselves, we build them too. But i strongly suggest you to not build commercial zones and houses in the same area. What i mean is if you not do what i say, the trucks that transporting their products to commercial zones and cars use the same way and that may cause some traffic problems. Here is what i say:
Also you can build roads between them so your citizens can go to work easier.
-I did it all but how will my trucks that coming from industry can reach to the commercial zones without causing traffic issues?
-you can build intersections as in the picture. It’s wholly my own design 🙂

Building a perfect industrial zone

Building an industry area without having traffic problems is so hard. I’ve played this game for almost 400 hours but it still is.
This my own design. It was useful. There is an highway rings the industry area in. it is used to entering the industry area from different locations and in this way, trucks can reach workplaces easier. There are 2 intersections. By using them you can easily get the main road and main roads takes you to industrial zones.
U can just copy it if u want. Also if something goes wrong with this or you just don’t want to use this design, i can show you a person that i am using his design right now. Here is the video link:

Garbage, water and electric services

GARBAGE SERVİCES
If you are new at this game and don’t know a ♥♥♥♥ about it, everything about garbage in this game spreads out pollution. So you should place them outside of the city. (not far away just make sure that pollution can’t reach your people) Or you can just downland a few recycling center mods from workshop from workshop. If you place your rubbish dump near the residental zones, it will dectract their land value and the buildings level up harder.

WATER SERVİCES
Your citizens will need water just like we do. So you must provide them water as a mayer does. When you make sure your pipes are include every building you built, you should connect them to water pumping stations. You need to place your pumping stations far away from dirty water. In the beginning of the game, there is no dirty water. Let me explain you how dirty water appears.

SAWAGE SERVİCES
Your citizens pee and poo just like we do. So you must provide them sawage service as a mayer does. You need to place water drain pipes to drain your citizens’ excrement out. Then you connect them to pipes. When they work, they cause dirty water as i mentioned you above. So you should NOT place water drain pipes and water pumping stations side by side to NOT make your citizens drink their own ♥♥♥♥.

ELECTRİC SERVİCES
Your citizens are will need electric just like we do. So you must provide them electric. I do not have a lot to say about this. Just build your electric provider and connect it!

Politics

Politics are Politics. They can be good or bad for you. It’s your own choice to choose them. For example if you make the public transport free, The traffic will become better because more people will use the public transport. But you no longer get money from public transport. The game explains the politics when you move your mouse on the policy you want.

Traffic

Traffic is your chief enemy in this game. It’s really annoying. Traffic probably causes all of your citizens’ problems. If you use the intersections properly and do what i say above, you will have better traffic flow. I’m leaving a picture here so you can take this photo as example and see my talents lol.

The Things You Need to Know About Offices and Industrial Areas

First and most important thing u need to know about is Offices needs highly educated people and if you don’t have an university in your city, Offices won’t work at all.
But Industry does not need educated people unless it is High level Industry. High level Industry needs high educated people as well. In the beginning, you should not build offices. Also Industries spread out pollution but offices don’t. So offices are more advantageous for you as your city evolves
