Introduction
Hello everyone. This is it, the aether, the infinite, the reality beyond. In this guide, we will regroup as much as possible about:
– The main quest Easter Egg
– Equipements
– Masks
– Side easter eggs
– Etc
Let’s go !
Preparation – Pack-a-Punch
You can’t really miss it at the beginning, the Pack-a-Punch has been eaten by an Apothicon.
As a first step, you must activate four ritual altars scattered around the map. Pay 500 points and stay in the area around it until the end of the activation. All ennemies spawned by the ritual will disappear. You will get your points back and a portal leading to Nacht der Untoten will be opened.
The four portals are located:
In the spawn area:
In the Der Eisendrache area:
In the Mob of the Dead area:
In the Verruckt area:
Once all the portals have been activated, you must go to Nacht der Untoten, upstairs, and use the console when it is fmashing. (~When the Apothicon is in front of you)
The door at your right will open, jump in the mouth of the Apothicon.
Once inside, the Pack-a-Punch is in front of you. To release it from the Apothicon stomach, shoot the three glowing balls on the side of it.
Upgrade the Apothicon Servant
We can at last, upgrade the Apothicon servant we couldn’t do on Shadows of Evil. Once you receive it from the mystery box, you need to shoot 5 element 115 stones flying in the sky.
They are located:
In Shangri-la above the pyramid:
In the spawn area, on the right up the sky when you are facing the portal:
In Mob of the Dead, on the left when you are facing the portal:
In Verruckt near the jump pad leading to Mob of the Dead: (The stone is the little dot on the sky, in front of the star)
In Verruckt near the portal: (The stone is located around my purple blackhole.)
Once done, simply head to the Apothicon stomach and upgrade the Servant with the Pack-a-Punch. 😀
Main easter egg quest – Part 1
Before everything else, you should know that the Easter Egg is possible from 1 to 4 players.
Average time: from 2 to 2 hours and a half.
First Step:
The first step is a pretty easy thing to do, as you can do it since the beginning of the game. Inside the spawning room on your left, there are 4 graves. (2 in the spawn, 2 near the Origins bumper pad, you can shoot them without opening the door) The graves are named by the 4 main characters and you have to shoot the graves in the order the characters died.
(Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolaï: So the graves need to be shot in this order from left to right : 2-3-1-4)
If done correctly, a sound should be heard and red flames would appear on the graves.
Second Step:
To proceed on to the second step, you’ll need the Keeper protector’s altar, 5000 points, and at least one good weapon (and/or the Dragon shield). (See part above)
You will have to find a pyramidal stone that is located randomly on a bumper pad. To find the correct bumper, use the pad from one side, then while it is cooling down, stand on the pad and check if there is a sharp, pyramidal stone. It is kinda tricky to see.
Once spotted, call the keeper’s protector and bring him to the OPPOSITE landing pad. Use it (So this way you are on the side where the stone is AND the pad is cooling down). Once on the good side, go far away from the pad to pull the keeper out, then stand on the bumper, as deep as possible so the keeper will follow you and approach the stone. Eventually, if he comes close enough, he will start a ritual (Moving his arms and yelling Aooooummmmmmmmm).
All the ennemies from the map will try to kill the keeper. Protect him until he disappears. When the ritual is done, he will drop an audio reel on the ground.
Take it and place it on the audio reader in Nacht Der Untoten besides Juggernog soda.
Third Step:
For this step, you’ll need some Lil’ Arnies and preferably Max ammo gobblegum. You will have to throw 9 arnies, in 9 holes in the Apothicon, without leaving the beast. If you are solo, take a max ammo gobblegum, throw 3 arnies use the max ammo, and for the 3 last you’ll have to wait a max ammo. In multiplayer you can also use the challenge’s reward.
If you leave the Apothicon, all the holes will need to be done again.
Each time you fill a serie of 3 holes with Arnies, 3 Margwas will spawn. Kill them before doing the following holes. They will commonly drop you a max ammo.
Once all the 9 Margwas are dead, pick the audio reel up.
Finally, place the reel in Kino der Toten. The reader is on a box near the main desk, on the other side from the teleporter.
Fourth Step:
Now, you have to pick 6 bones hidden around the map. They are firstly as a brick that you have to shoot down with a PaP-ed weapon, a flying bone will pop instead.
Then you have to catch it, with the upgraded Apothicon Servent, by shooting near it.
They are located:
- On a wall, in Nacht Der Untoten, above the gateway that leads to Der Eisendrache.
- Next to the Waterfall around Verrückt.
- Near the Giant robot’s footstep in Origins.
- Just above Stamin-up in Shangri La.
- In the broken church in the Spawn area.
- Part of the third wall that you can use to get a free perk. (My theater mode destroyed each and everyone of my replay for the screen. So you know. Screw it. Thanks to [link]
Fifth Step:
Once all the bones are collected, they should be on the floor in Nacht Der Untoten between the audio reel and Juggernog.
Shoot them with the upgraded Apothicon Servant, the bones should disappear and let the dead body of Sophia. Shoot again the corpse and a third audio reel will drop.Place it on the Origins’ Excavation site, on a table.
Sixth Step:
Now, S.O.P.H.I.A should be standing above Nacht Der Untoten. You will need to use the 4 corruption turrets and shoot her with them. You can’t do this in direct shot tho, you need to deflect the beam. To do so, aim the blue cristal on the left of the portals. When the laser is positionned, you will be kicked out from the turret.
Now, come back to Nacht Der Untoten and interact with S.O.P.H.I.A, she will now materialize and head to Kino Der Toten’s teleporter.
Seventh Step:
Once ready, (Consider picking up the wisp at this point, see part bellow) all players will have to stand in the teleporter. You will be sent to Samantha’s room. Simply take the Kronorium from her bed and wait to be teleported away.
Finally, place the Kronorium on the desk in Kino der Toten.
Eighth Step:
Now, you have to find 4 eggs scattered around the map and place them in the Apothicon. Only one egg can be on the map at a time. They can be located at various locations.
Spawn: – Besides Quick Revive
– Around the pad leading to Origins on a barrel
– On a trash near the pad leading to Shangri laOrigins: – In a corner downstairs, around Generator 3
– Next to Der Wunderfizz on the excavation site– In a corner between the Vesper and the Keeper protector’s altar
– Close to the KN-44 in Buried.Mob of the Dead: – Close to the corruption turret
Main easter egg quest – Part 2
Shangri-La: – Near a broken pillar on the right side when you are coming from the spawn.
– On a small square with a fire in the center
Der Eisendrache: – In a bucket near a Wunderfizz in the tunnel between Eisendrache and Kino
– On the primis statues base, near a mystery box spot.
Kino der Toten: – Next to a black board and the Bowie knife.
– On a broken floor above the stairs.
Verrückt: – Between the green tanks
– In the corner above Speed cola
– Above Speed Cola, on a bed lighted by a blue light.
– On the plants at your right when you are going to the building from the portal.
– Right after landing when you are coming from Mob of the Dead, on a chair.
When you find an egg, place it on the 4 disgusting holes in the Apothicon.
Then, kill some zombies around to hatch the egg into a worm.
Once the worm is in your pocket, head to one of the 4 places (Spawn, Der Eisendrache, Verrückt, and Mob of the Dead), you need to find an invisible rune. You’ll know when you are far or close with a beep noise, beeping faster when you are close to it. Once found, interact and the worm should be placed and transforming into a rune. Pick it up.
Here are a few places:
Spawn:
Der Eisendrache:
Verrückt:
Mob of the Dead:
Ninth step:
All the players must head to the projection room in Kino der Toten and stand on the circle. You’ll be teleported to the Boss room but without a boss yet.
In this room, there is a base with the Kronorium on it. Interact with it will make the pages move and show you the 4 runes into a specific order.
Remember the order of appearence, use the order showed in the Scoreboard item list, for example 3rd/2nd/1st/4th, or 1st/2nd/4th/3rd , etc…
Once you’ve got the order, head to the opposite of the room. A glowing purple symbol will be here, staying a couple of seconds then swaping to another symbol. Each time the right symbol appears, you must interact with it.
Once the 4 symbols are pinpointed, 4 phases will being.
Each time you’ll have to kill a bunch of margwas to move on to the next stage, while facing a new dangerous landscape.
Make sure to dodge the lava, the furies, the tornados, and everything else.
Also, in a sequence, the anti gravity will be activated and you’ll have to stand on the circles of light to stay alive.
Finally, pick up the Summoning key.
Tenth step:
Now that you’ve got the Summoning key, you’ll have to throw it on 7 items out of the map.
-The radio on the chandelier in Kino der Toten
-The clock above Der Eisendrache
-The convergence stone in a palm tree in Shangri-La
-A grave around the excavation site in Origins
-A poster in a cell in Mob of the Dead
-The MG-42 on the foutain around Verrückt
-A red barrel near a truck in Nacht der Untoten
Now that all the items are collected, the summoning key shouldn’t be on the map anymore.
If you miss an item, the Key should fall near where you were when shooting it.
Another common issue is loosing the Key when using a Portal. If such thing happens, the player who glitched the key needs to down himself. The Key should reappear next to him.
You could also get yourself a DeathMachine and swap back to your weapon, the key should be there again.
Eleventh step:
Prepare yourself, weapons, perks, gobblegums, etc …
The fight is very similar to Shadows of Evil.
Head to the teleporter in Kino der Toten you’ll be teleported in the boss room. Interact with a pedestal to place the summoning key on it. Then, kill some zombies to charge it.
Once the key is charged, throw it on S.O.P.H.I.A. She will blow the Shadow man shield and you’ll have to shoot him until he is in the mouth of the Apothicon statue.
When he is in there, interact with the Kronorium, gg wp, enjoy the ♥♥♥♥ load of exp, the beautiful animated calling cards and if you did all the easter eggs, you’ll have the RK5 in all of your start of games.
TL;DR Cheat sheet for the main quest
If you already know the steps, this can help you remember the order of the things you have to do
Equipement – Dragon shield
The first part of the shield is located in the area in Origins, just after the spawn.
– Right at your left when you enter Origins from the spawn.
– On the right, near a WunderFizz machine
– In front of the truck which has glowing lights and a radio sound
The second one is in Der Eisendrache, on a wall which requires to anti-gravity to grab.
The last one is in Verruckt area.
– On a pillar near Speed Cola
– On a table in the kitchen
– In the corner of a small room, just after the bigger one with stairs.
Simply build everything up around Nacht’, behind Juggernog.
Equipement – Keeper Protector
The keeper protection is a device allowing you to have a following keeper hitting your ennemies, with a price of 5500 points. However everyone can add points, you don’t need to pay it at once.
One of the part is a Flag located in the Origins – Mob of the Dead area:
– Near the giant robot footstep
– On top of the excavation site, in the Origins area.
– In the cafeteria of Mob of the Dead, besides Mule Kick
The skull of Nan’Sapwe is located in the zone of Verruckt.
– On a chair at your left when you are coming from Mob’
– On a shelf, besides Speed cola
– On a chair, near the Power lever (Back in verruckt)
The purple gem is located around Der Eisendrache – Kino der Toten
– In Kino der Toten, on a table, when you are jumping from Verruckt.
– In Der Eisendrache, near the pyramid, in the side which is facing the ritual altar.
– In Der Eisendrache, in the room with the statues of Primis.
Then, build the altar on a spot on the wall.
They are located:
– In the mannequin area in Kino der Toten, left when you are facing the scene.
– In the cave with Primis Statues in der Eisendrache.
– In the Giant Robot Footstep near a Flag spot, in Origins.
– On the right of the green glass tanks room in Verrückt.
Equipement – Masks
In the map Revelations, you have a bunch of secret challenges that will give masks, each offering their own specific buffs.
The masks are available in the theater of Kino Der Toten, on the mannequins.
Head to Der Eisendrache and activate the anti gravity. Throw a grenade into the hole where the skeleton, for the Wolf bow quest on Eisendrache, is.
A skull should fall, then kill some zombies around it during anti-gravity sequence, a sound will tell you when it’s done.
The wolf mask will give you the purple Stamin-up perk, increasing your stamina.
First of all, go to the Der eisendrache ritual area. There is a clock above the pyramid room. Use a weapon to shoot on the numbers to enter 935. ( IX III V) A bell should be heard.
Now, you must headshot 6 zombies next to 4 jars scattered around the map.
They are located:
In Der Eisendrache near the Primis statues:
In Kino der Toten in the projection room:
In Verrückt in the kitchen:
In Origins, in a room before generator 3:
A sound should now tell you, that the viking helmet is available. This mask gives you the purple Juggernog perk, it will let you take one more hit from the undead.
This hat is located in a isolated cell in Mob of the Dead near a door leading to Origins trenches.
People used to believe the hat increases your luck (Bonus spawn rate or mystery box drops) but it’s actually not the case. The hat doesn’t do anything and is here to let you remove other masks you would have taken.
As a first step, you need to summon the keeper protector. Then, let him kill around 30 zombies, a sound should let you know when it’s done.
Then as the second step, you have the choice:
If you have the Wolf mask already done, the Keeper mask is available on Kino der Toten.
Otherwise you’ll have to kill something like 7 enslaved keepers with corruption turrets.
The mask will give you:
- Purple Juggernog (+1 hit)
- 50% damage reduction from Enslaved Keepers
- 33% more damage to Enslaved Keepers
- Keeper protector lasts 30 seconds longer
This mask will grant you purple stamin-up (Increasing your stamina), 50% reduction from incoming bosses damage, 33% damage increased on bosses, no damage received by electrical / burning zombies.
To get this mask, you will need to kill about 30 zombies with the traps on the map.
You will also be asked to destroy a Panzersoldat’s helmet, and power core. (The yellow dot on his chest)
This one is pretty easy to do. You have to kill each type of Margwas by shooting them in their 3 heads each. (There are 3 types of Margwas, Blueish, Redish and Yellowish).
To get this mask you simply have to Headshot around 15 Furies.
- 33% damage reduction from Fury melee attacks
- 50% more damage towards Furies
- Purple Juggernog (+1 hit)
This mask is kinda god tier, but you’ll need a lot of work to get it done.
You’ll need to kill a lot of enemies in the Apothicon’ stomach, standing in the green bile in the middle, while there is a green mist around.
The shroud will stay 3-4 minutes or so and come back after a while.
You need to kill:
- 5 parasites
- 5 spiders
- 5 Corrupted Keeper
- 10 Apothicon’s furies
- 50 zombies
- 3 Margwas
Once done, this mask will give you Purple stamin-up (Extra stamina), purple Juggernog (extra hit from zombies), 50% extra damage dealt to all ennemies, and 33% less damages dealt by all ennemies.
Side easter egg – Free perk
Activate anti gravity and the corruption generator in Der Eisendrache. While looking above the portal, you might notice a perk bottle bonus. Taking this, will give a random perk to every players in the game.
You will need to activate the anti gravity in order to jump on the wall to parkour outside the area. Wall run on the walls jump here and there until you can finally reach the bonus.
Don’t worry about falling in the void of space, you will respawn without worries in the map.
Side easter egg – Secret music
In order to activate the secret music of the map, you must like old maps activate 3 teddy bears.
One on a chair in Kino der Toten in front of the stage.
Another one on a chair in Verrückt next to the Zetsubou no shima’s green tanks.
The last one on a stool in Mob of the Dead right after the Buried’s tunnel.
Side easter egg – Secret music radio
You can activate a radio on Nacht Der Untoten, that will play any music of the zombie mode. To spawn the radio, you must interact with 4 buttons in a short amount of time. More players there are, shorter the time is.
The buttons are:
At the right of the Der Eisendrache’s portal when you face it:
In a corner near the tesla coil’s interface:
In the corner up the stairs, near the Dragon shield:
At the left of the LCAR-9:
The radio should have spawned beside the box. Shoot to start a song, knife to end it.
Side easter egg – The wisp
If at least one of the players has done all of the other main easter eggs, you should see on the truck in the spawn area a shining wisp.
You can pick it up but be careful because you’ll lost it for the whole game if an ennemy hit you.
Leave it there for the time being.
What’s the point with this wisp ? You must place it on the toy chest in samantha’s room, and the only way to do this is via the main easter egg. (See the 7th step of the easter egg in the part above.)
Pick it up when S.O.P.H.I.A is waiting above the teleporter in Kino der Toten, teleport and place it on the chest.
From now on, all the weapons coming from the mystery box will be pack-a-punched. Also, you can buy Takeo’s katana (Hell yeah !) in Shangri-la, where you can buy the time-attack melee weapons.
Side easter egg – Time trial
Just like Gorod Krovi, if you beat the rounds quick enough, you will unlock melee weapons buyable from a well between Shangri-la stairs and Primis altar in Der Eisendrache.
The same tips work, use gobblegums, buy weapons, don’t open a too large area, etc …
- Complete round 5 under 5 minutes will give you a Nunchucks, one shotting until round 10.
- Complete round 10 under 12 minutes will give you the Skull Splitter, one shotting until round 15.
- Complete round 15 under 19 minutes will give you the Buzzcut, one shotting until round 25.
- Complete round 20 under 32 minutes will give you the Nightbreaker, one shotting until round 35.
Finishing the trial will give you a few experience.
Side easter egg – Trading table & M1927 wallbuy
A hidden table can be unlocked in Nacht Der Untoten to allow you to place a weapon on it, that can be taken by another player. Usefull to trade weapons.
To do so, you firstly need to pick up a pink chalk located in Der Eisendrache. This requires anti-gravity. The chalk is on the small platform, on the upper left from my cross hair. (Chalk was already picked up)
With the chalk in hands, you will need to pick up sentences on the wall to place them somewhere else.
- First of all, pick up the “Wish Too Often And Your Wishing Well Will Run” in Der Eisendrache.
- Go all the way to Verruckt and place the sentence on the floor in front of the Power generator, where “Ascend from Darkness” is written
- Place the “Ascend from Darkness” you just picked up, in the spiral staircase in Nacht Der Untoten.
- Place the “Salvation lies above” you just picked up, in Nacht der Untoten, on the empty wall next to the back staircase.
- Head the infirmary entrance in Mob of the Dead and pick up the “Knowledge Itself Is For The Taking”. You must place this one in Kino Der Toten, on a wall behind the Teleporter, where the lever used to be. You will exchange your text with “A Soul Alone Can Follow The Path” that you must place in Mob of the Dead, where you picked up the previous one.
Once done, a sound will be heard and the table in Nacht Der Untoten will have a glimmer effect on it.
Any weapons can be placed on it and taken back by any player.
Also worth mentioning, doing this will unlock a wall-buy location for the M1927 in Der Eisendrache, where you picked up the first text.
Side easter egg – Upgrade the Lil’ arnies
A short mission will allow you to upgrade the Lil’arnies.
First of all, the players in the lobby must have killed collectively 150 zombies with the Arnies.
Then , simply throw an Arnie in the window above the church in the spawn area. If done correctly, you will get all your arnies back and all the players having the arnies will get the upgraded ones.
Achievements
Difficulty: Average to Hard
This achievement requires you to complete the main easter egg and beat the Shadow man in Revelations. See the parts above to help you with that. Can be done with 1 to 4 players.
Difficulty: Hard
To get this achievement you must complete all the main easter eggs from the Black Ops 3 season. Shadows of evil – Der Eisendrache – Zetsubou no Shima – Gorod Krovi – Revelations. Your progession is displayed in the map selection menu, when pointing to a BO III map. (Check my other guides to learn more about main easter eggs.)
Difficulty: Easy
Access the Pack-a-Punch. (See part above)

- Spider
- Margwa
- Panzersoldat
Difficulty: Easy
Hit a higher round (15+ ?) and train around near a corruption turret. Once you think you have enough zombies, use the turret to kill them all.
Difficulty: Easy
Make sure to have Stamin-up to do this. Also spamming slide will help you.
I advise you to start at Nacht Der Untoten, go into the portal towards the spawn, jump to Origins going all the way to Mob of the dead, jump again towards Verruckt then jump to Kino der Toten. Keep running throught Der Eisendrache, you should get the achievement when arriving at Shangri la.
