The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition Guide

Guide to modding for the best possible Morrowind Experience! for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Guide to modding for the best possible Morrowind Experience!

Overview

This guide provides a list of mods for both newcomers and veterans to acquire the optimal Morrowind Experience, also including the load order, and some basic instructions.

Basic List of Mods

None. You don’t need any mods. Morrowind in it’s default state is optimal. Just use the registry editor to adjust the resolution. Don’t mess with the game’s mechanics.

The Best Mods

The best morrowind content to install is:

The Bloodmoon Expansion
The Tribunal Expansion

Additional optional content:

Area of effect Arrows
Bitter Coast Sounds
Helm of Tohan
Entertainers
Master Index
Adamantium Armor
Siege at Firemoth
LeFemme Armor

The reason these are the best is because they were officially made by bethesda. Not some coombrained hacks on nexus.

Though yes, the best way to install these is from nexus

Load Order

This is my load order. It works just fine for me.

Author’s Comments

You really think modding morrowind is a good idea? Ptui. Unless you’re installing graphical or content mods, shame on you.

Screwing with the game’s mechanics? Making a dominatrix daedra step on your dunmer’s balls? What is wrong with you, you coomer? What has gotten into your head? Please cut the anime tiddy baloney and get some better taste. Get outta here.

And back to screwing with the game’s mechanics, just git gud! the game’s not hard to git gud at. The game mechanics are only frustrating if you make them frustrating. Make a good character. Use the right weapon. Keep a potion or two on you. Know your limits. It’s not rocket science.

Many others in this community are welcoming and kind to people like you who need a helping hand in mastering the game’s mechanics. There are plenty of guides out there. Please just look to those people. They’re glad to help, and I am too if you contact me directly. Just don’t resort to blowing off the game’s mechanics to game breaking mods like accurate attack, or magicka regen, or faster stamina regen mods.

Also, be wary of the morrowind code patch. A few of their “fixes” can mess up the game
