Overview
Quite simply a guide to help people be able to host a Worms World Party Remastered Multiplayer Game.
Step 1. Find out the IP Address, username and password to access your router
We are going to be opening some ports on your router to enable you to host a multiplayer game.
The first thing to do is to find out your router brand and model number. Google is now your friend. Search for your router model and find out the ip address you need to access it.
I am using a Huawei HG523a router supplied by my ISP Talk Talk (UK). To gain access to the router in my case, I open my web browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and hit enter.
You will now probably be asked to enter a username and password. For my router it is “admin” for both username and password. You will need to find out these details for your router via google.
Step 2. Port Forwarding
Because there are so many different types of router available the best thing I can recommend is for you to search google on how to port forward on your model of router.
When you have found the port mapping section of your router you want to set the router to forward the ports 17010, 17011, 17012.
Step 3. Editing the Registry
The next step is to edit the registry. To do this open the start menu and type regedit and hit enter.
This will bring up the registry editior. You will then need to navigate to the following folder:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareTeam17DigitalLTDWormsWorldPartyNetSettingsAddressOverride
In the right hand pane, double click the registry entry AddressOveride.
Change the value data from 0 to 1 then click OK.
You can now close the registry editor.
Step 4. Finding out you WAN IP Address
The next thing you need to do is find out you WAN IP Address. To do this you can either go here:
[link]or:
go back into your router settings. In the case of my router you can find the WAN IP address in the Status section.
Once you have found it, make a note of it and open up Worms World Party Remastered.
Step 5. Adding the correct information inside the game
Next select “Play over a local area network or Internet”.
Click the “configuration” button.
Type your WAN IP address into the “Your I.P. address section”.
Step 6. Host a game!
Hopefully all of that has worked and you can now host a game!
