Overview
This guide was created to help players properly use the console and its commands.
Basics.
The first thing you should do is ensure that the console is enabled.
1) After starting up Half-Life 2. Click “Options”.
3) Now click “Advanced” and make sure that “Enable Developers Console” is enabled!
Now. Before entering any cheats. You must have “sv_cheats 1” enabled.
Just press “~” and type into the console, “sv_cheats 1”.
You are now ready for you’re cheats!
Spawning NPC’s.
This section of the guide will show you how to spawn NPC’s! (Non-Playable Characters)
Hit “~” and type “npc_create npc_ [name]” to spawn an NPC. Replace “[name] with the code. Here is a list of codes you can enter for [name]:

Remember! Where you’re pointing is where the NPC will spawn!
Spawning Weapons.
Before wasting your time reading all of this. Please keep in mind that you can simply type “impulse 101” and It will automatically give you a stock of all the weapons in the game. This includes giving you the weapons themselves and the ammo. If you type “impulse 101” again, It will give you ammo.
OK! Before giving yourself anything. You MUST type into the console “give [weapon].” Here is a list of [weapon]’s you can use:

Remember! You don’t need to type “give impulse 101” for the full-stock of weapons and ammo. Its just “impulse 101”.
Please note: weapon_physcannon is the Gravity Gun. Once you have the Gravity Gun, type this: “physcannon_mega enabled 1” into the console to turn your Gravity Gun into a Modded Gravity Gun or “Mega Gravity Gun”
Spawning Ammo.
This is related to “Spawning Weapons”. Just type “give [ammo]” Heres a list of [ammo] you can use:

item_ar2_grenade
“Spawning Weapons.” and “Spawning Ammo.” are both related. So I highly suggest you read “Spawning Weapons.” before reading this section.
