Overview
So you bought that expensive fancy 21:9 monitor? No wonder you hate to see these black bars on both of the screen sides, obstructing like 30% of your available monitor space. Fortunatelly, there’s a really easy fix to that. Besides, Hollow Knight looks gourgeos in 1440p!
Locate you hollow knight installation directory
Just right-click on your Hollow Knight instance in your Steam Library and select “Properties”
in “LOCAL FILES” tab click on “BROWSE LOCAL FILES”
Browse to
..Hollow Knighthollow_knight_DataManaged
You need to locate Assembly-CSharp.dll file.
Hexedit
Make a backup file of Assembly-CSharp.dll (just in case :D).
Open Assembly-CSharp.dll in hex editor.
Change three instances of 39 8E E3 3F hex values to 60 E5 18 40 values.
Make sure that your datatype is set to “hex-values”.
Save you altered file.
