Overview
List of the treasures you can find in the Holy Land.
Introduction
The complete treasure guide hasn’t been updated in a while, and since the last map has a bit of trial and errors/puzzles treasures I figured compiling all the information in one place might be useful. I’ll try to keep the same format.
Holy Land Advice
Treasures
Will always spawn: Not-so-magic carpet, Alexander the Great, Dead Sea scroll, Lion of Allatu, Holy grail.
Must choose between: Jinn Lamp, Colorful fish, Peace treaty.
Skills
Archaeologist is used in about every treasure-related adventure wheel. Beguiler/Diplomat is used in a few treasure-related checks and a few other random encounters. Depending of the treasures you want, you can do without having a Quick thinker. Same goes for Rogue, survivalist and athelete. Tactician is used in a few encounters and can also give you a “dialogue” option that’ll give you more tokens in another.
There’s also a single engineer check, but it’s not tied to treasures, only to tokens (and it also provides a tool, if i’m not mistaken).
Supplies
No shops here, but there are a few nodes that can give you a decent amount of supplies – sometimes requiring you to pass a check, sometimes a battle, sometimes nothing. Plan ahead of time though, if you find Derya when you’re running low on supplies and decide to get her treasure you might add a few extra nodes to your path, since her treasures don’t show up before her encounter, and they can be located far from the forgotten armory.
Free things
No free skills, but since Derya is guarenteed to appear, having her as a member of your entourage allows you to get some extra tokens through a dialogue option. Ibrahim can appear too, but I don’t think he’s there every time.
Items/Battle advice
Speech defense items are of utmost importance – not all ennemies can have their attacks influenced by mood and there’s plenty of speech damage. The cats have very strong AoE (area of effect) sadness attacks they can use from a long range ; it might even be a good idea to equip sadness-resistance trinkets if you don’t have strong AoEs yourself and have crew members with low defenses/spirit.
The anti-explorers ennemies are resistant to negative emotions (sadness and another usually) but are weak to confidence, while jinns resist confidence but are weak to negative emotions.

How to obtain:
One of the Jinns you can encounter will give you a “riddle” of sorts, where he asks you to show him specific items but without directly naming them. Here’s what he wants to see:
Bargained beverage: Haggler’s pot (From Muscat’s trinket shop, comes along the Constantinople entourage hall, can be unlocked starting from the 2nd expedition and up)
Something packed with sugar : Biscuit box (From Sydney’s equipment shop, can be unlocked starting from the 3rd expedition and up OR the “Hyperspeed Airship” research paper from the engineering tree)
Metal animal : Monkey wrench (From Moscow’s equipment shop, the starting one)
Showing him something wrong at any moment will upset him and make him leave, making you lose the opportunity to get the treasure. You keep your items weither you show him all 3 correct items or not. You get tokens for showing him the correct items, so it’s not a waste of supplies to land on that space even if you only have 1 or 2 of them (you don’t get tokens for showing him the wrong items, but you don’t lose the ones you got).

Holy Grail
4 Insight 500 Renown
Rank: X
5 x Unique
How to obtain:
Reach the X marked city node.
Check #1: Rogue/Rogue: Subterfuge/Attack/Grit (failure starts an encounter that gives no tokens)
Street-savy crewmembers (not sure if there’s any other than harry) have an additional option that gives them more tokens.
After passing the check or winning the encounter, you’ll meet the antique seller, who will then give you a riddle (having a crewmember with Quick thinker: wits will allow you to get some extra tokens).
Your crew will need to solve it before you can go to the Forgotten Armory (final area), unless you have a lv 5 archaeologist, which will give you the option to solve it immediately. Otherwise you will have to walk around the map until your crew deduces the location of the Holy Grail (This is not something you can influence; you have to walk around the map until one of your crew members attempts to discover the location, guesses innacurately, then attempt again a few nodes later. If I remember correctly you may have to travel to the node they believe contains the Holy Grail (but does not) before they can guess again. Nevermind this if no X appears on any node – unless it’s the forgotten armory, of course, but you’ll want to wait until you’re done with the rest of the expedition, as usual.)
Once you reach the Forgotten Armory, pass the following checks:
Check #1: Scout/Lv 1-3-5 Quick thinkers (failure makes you lose stats)
The following check is only present if you took the lv 5 Archaeologist option in the city; it’s absent otherwise. It only gives tokens.
(Optional) Check #2: Beguiler/Beguiler: Astonishing/Speech power (anything to be famous crewmembers have 0% chance to succeed, even if you use tools)
Check #3: Diplomat/Diplomat: Politics/Speech power (HEAVY spirit loss on failure – make sure you have healers if you have no diplomats, or your adventure might be put to a short stop)
Afterwards, defeat Florentina in battle and the grail will be yours.
Pool :
Grants 100 renown for each level of quick thinker
Grants 100 renown for each level of diplomat
Grants 100 renown for each level of archeologist
Grants 150 renown for each level of friendship in your crew
Grants 100 renown for each resolve
Special thanks
Thanks to the Abbey Games community discord – specifically Pistax – for compiling the list of which explorers give which treasures!
