Qualify for the Horizon Roster.

You will explore all the seasons of the Horizon Festival in the Prologue of the game. As you complete events & activities you earn influence, which will progress you through each season. After Horizon Spring you will have the chance to qualify for the full Horizon Roster.

The top right of your map will indicate how much XP you need to qualify for the Roster.

Whatever Next?

Complete every Showcase Event.

There are 5 Showcase Events in total. 3 of them will unlock as you work towards joining the Horizon Roster. The final 2 will unlock as you continue to earn more influence.

Complete all 5, you don’t have to win.

Go the Distance

Win a race at The Colossus, The Gauntlet, The Titan or The Marathon.

These are the 4 ‘Finale’ races for each main discipline, to unlock this achievement you need to Win at least one of these events. They unlock as you progress in levels for each discipline:

Dirt Racing
The Gauntlet
Level 8

Cross Country
The Titan
Level 8

Street Scene
The Marathon
Level 9

Road Racing
The Colossus
Level 10

⠀⠀⌞ Horizon Online

Jolly Cooperation

Complete 5 Horizon Life Co-op Races.
When starting most events you will have the options of Solo, Co-op or PVP. Complete 5 events in Co-Op to unlock this achievement.

An easy way to obtain this if you don’t have another person to play with is by playing The Trial, completing it twice consists of 6 Co-Op races, more than enough for this achievement.

Human After All

Complete 5 PvP Races.
When starting most events you will have the options of Solo, Co-op or PVP. Complete 5 events in PvP to unlock this achievement.

The best way to earn this if you don’t have another person to play with is at a popular event, such as the Drag Strip.

Purple Split!

In Rivals, beat a Rival without receiving a “dirty time” penalty.

The easiest way to quickly earn this achievement is at the Festival Drag Strip. After completing your first Rivals race you have the option to select a new Rival. Simply select someone slower than your first run time and you should have no trouble beating them.

“Dirty Time” penalties come from driving off track or hitting obstacles, neither of which should present more trouble at a Drag Strip.

⠀⠀⌞ Festival Playlist

Test your Might

Complete The Trial.

The Trial can be found in the Festival Playlist, simply complete this event to earn the achievement, placement doesn’t matter. The Trial is usually a 3 race team event against Drivatars.

Well Seasoned

Complete a Season Championship and receive a reward.

In the Menu you can see current Season Championships in the Festival Playlist. Complete any available to earn this achievement, keeping in mind you also need to earn at least one reward from the event. Generally awards are based on difficulty, so make sure before starting the event you are on a difficulty that will offer an award, this will vary based on the event. You don’t need to earn all the rewards, only one.

Overachiever

Complete a Season PR Stunt and receive a reward.

In the Menu you can see current Season Championships in the Festival Playlist. Complete any available to earn this achievement. Season PR Stunts are at the same locations as current PR Stunts, however they have an additional requirement to earn a reward, which you can see by highlighting it on your Map.

⠀⠀⌞ Team Adventure

First-Time Adventurer

Complete your first Team Adventure.

To access this mode from the Menu simply navigate to Team Adventure > Unranked Team Adventure. You don’t need to win to unlock this achievement, refer below for more information on the kinds of events present in Team Adventures.

The Spirit of Adventure

Reach level 5 in Racing Team Adventure, Games Team Adventure, or Anything Goes Team Adventure.

To unlock this achievement you simply need to participate in Team Adventures until you reach level 5. You don’t have to join a team or a club to unlock this.

To access this mode from the Menu simply navigate to Team Adventure > Unranked Team Adventure. It will probably take you 10-15 games to reach level 5. You also get an extra 5,000 XP for winning, which really helps.

You can choose any of the three playlists (Racing, Games or Anything Goes), however your level is separate for each playlist, so once you pick one, stick with it until you reach level 5. Personally I picked Anything Goes, you get more variety by participating in both Races & Games but the choice is completely based on preference.

Participation does matter, if you aren’t contributing you will earn much less XP than if you were! Most of the game modes are straightforward but I’ll list some tips:

Freeroam Race
There is no checkpoints here, so look at the map before the race starts and just try to get a direct route to the finish, don’t worry about following the roads or GPS at all.

Flag Rush
When defending the easiest way to deny points is camping the zone, or camping the spawn.

King
When you get slowed the idea is you tag in another person on your team. Many people don’t seem to realise this.

Certified Adventurer

Qualify for a League in Ranked Team Adventure.

To unlock this achievement you need to first reach Level 3 in Unranked Team Adventure. From there, you can move on to Ranked Team Adventures. The rules and gameplay are identical to unranked games so you should be familiar with the mode by that point.

After reaching Rank 3, navigate to Team Adventure > Ranked Team Adventure. You simply need to complete your 10 placement matches to receive a league and unlock the achievement, even if you play terribly and get placed in a very low league you will have met the requirements.

⠀⠀⌞ #FORZATHON

There’s No ‘I’ in Team

Take part in your first #FORZATHON Live Event.

#FORZATHON Live Events begin at the start of every hour. They will appear as a large pink circle on your map as they’re about to start and you will receive a notification on top of your screen to alert you 5 minutes beforehand. Wait at the Event location to be included in the event when it starts, you need to complete at least 1 round for this achievement, but finishing it is recommended for another achievement.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Complete Round 3 of a #FORZATHON Live Event.

#FORZATHON Live Events begin at the start of every hour. They will appear as a large pink circle on your map as they’re about to start and you will receive a notification on top of your screen to alert you 5 minutes beforehand. Wait at the Event location to be included in the event when it starts, you need to complete all 3 rounds for this achievement.

Life of the Party

Take part in 20 #FORZATHON Live Events, completing at least Round 1 in each.

#FORZATHON Live Events begin at the start of every hour. They will appear as a large pink circle on your map as they’re about to start and you will receive a notification on top of your screen to alert you 5 minutes beforehand. Wait at the Event location to be included in the event when it starts, you need to complete at least 1 round at 20 different events.

Week Complete

Complete a #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge.

The Weekly Challenge can be found in the Festival Playlist, it will change every Season and provide 4 objectives for you to complete. They vary a lot but if you are having trouble with any in particular consider looking at Community Tunes, and also Community Blueprints that may help for your specific challenge.

Keep in mind the week resets every Thursday at 10:30 EDT/2:30 PM GMT so make sure you have enough days to comfortably earn this achievement before the end of the week.

⠀⠀⌞ Barn Finds

Auto Barn

Find and restore your first Barn Find.

As you earn more influence you will eventually be told about a Barn Find rumour which will add a purple area to your map. Explore this area to find the Barn and claim the abandoned car inside. You have to wait until the car is restored at the garage for the achievement to unlock.

A good tip to find the Barns is to open the Menu and use Drone Mode.

As you earn more influence you will eventually be told about more Barn Find rumours which will add a purple area to your map. Explore these areas to find the Barn and claim the abandoned car inside. You have to wait until the final car is restored at the garage for the achievement to unlock.

  • Athur’s Seat South West Of Edinburgh
  • Scott Monument In The Center Of Edinburg

The Noisy Cartographer

Drive down every road in Britain.

This achievement should unlock at 529/531 Roads, so there is a small margin for error here. This will be useful as many small driveways and short roads can be very easy to miss, and hard to see on your map.

For a street to be ‘discovered’ you must drive along it’s entire length (mostly). Visible on the Map it will change from grey, to either white (street) or red (dirt). If there are any grey parts the road is not discovered.

Fast Travel Anywhere can also help as you can simply fast travel to any grey sections on the map, useful to collect the last few road sections you may be missing.

⠀⠀⌞ Garage

First Love

Buy your first car from the Autoshow.

You can access the Autoshow from the Cars tab in the Menu, any Festival Location or Player Home. Purchase any car for the achievement.

⠀⠀⌞ Character

You can earn clothing items a variety of ways:

  • Rank Up Rewards
  • Wheelspin Rewards
  • Included with DLC Packs
  • Purchased from #FORZATHON Shop
  • Various Events (for example Top Gear Special)
  • Loyalty Rewards

Accomplished Driver

Reach Level 20.

You level up by earning Influence from events, you should reach level 20 fairly early. To maximise your Influence earning, finish in better positions & increase your difficulty for a higher bonus.

Horizon Superstar

Gain Superstar Status by reaching Level 200.

You level up by earning Influence from events, you need 3,000,000 Influence to reach level 200. To maximise your Influence earning, finish in better positions & increase your difficulty for a higher bonus. Make sure to also smash all Influence Boards for a healthy boost.

⠀⠀⌞ Wheelspins

Special Edition

Get your first Forza Edition Car from a Wheelspin.

This is entirely luck based. You can earn Wheelspins from leveling up and can also unlock this achievement with a Super Wheelspin.

Hit the Jackpot

Spin your first Super Wheelspin.

Super Wheelspins are an upgraded version of the regular Wheelspin, where you win three prizes instead of one.

You can get a Super Wheelspin from leveling up, the #FORZATHON Shop, or by purchasing Croftdale Farm Player House.

⠀⠀⌞ Car Mastery

Optional Extras

Apply your first Car Mastery.

Car Masteries are perks you can apply to each car and are unlocked by spending Skill Points, which are earned by banking Skill Chains in any car. It’s important to know that you can earn Points in any car, and then spend those points on any car (even a different car), however the applied Masteries only benefit the specific car you purchased them on.

The Cars tab in the Menu will alert you when you have unspent Skill Points, simply navigate to this menu and apply any to any car for this achievement.

At One with the Car

Apply every Car Mastery available for a single car.

The Formula Drift Cars are a good car choice for this, otherwise 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata or 2015 Ultima Evo Coupe 1020 with a downloaded drift tune by creator “Spilner” work well.

⠀⠀⌞ PR Stunts

Stunt Superhero

Get 3 stars on every PR Stunt.

The PR Stunts vary from very easy to quite difficult, however none of them feel impossible. Due to the sheer amount of Stunts in the game I will list some car recommendations & tips. However if you find a specific stunt you are having trouble with, I recommend looking up a video so you can see how it can be done.

⠀⠀⌞ Horizon Stories

An Illustrious Career

Finish 40 different Horizon Story chapters.

There originally were 4 Story Chapters in Horizon. However now we have 13 all with their own theme, making this achievement very easy to get. Simply complete any 40 chapters across any of them to earn this achievement, you only need to earn 1 Star.

The Story Chapters include:

  • The Stunt Driver
  • World’s Fastest Rentals
  • Drift Club
  • LaRacer @ Horizon
  • British Racing Green
  • Drift Club 2.0
  • Isha’s Taxis
  • Skill Streak
  • The Car Files
  • Hype Tour
  • The Top Gear Horizon Special
  • Upgrade Heroes
  • Express Delivery

Star Centurion

Get 100 stars in Horizon Stories.

With the amount of Story Chapters now available in the game you should have no trouble getting at least 100 Stars, you could aim to get 1 Star in 100 events, or get 3 Stars in 34 events.

I recommend aiming for 3 Stars to save time but less is fine for any you may be struggling with. You will also want to prioritise the Stories that have their own unique achievements to be making progress towards them simultaneously.

Keep in mind that selecting Next Chapter won’t show you the Star requirements, you should instead use Chapter Select

Chapters that are underlined below have their own unique achievements and should be prioritized:

  • The Stunt Driver
  • World’s Fastest Rentals
  • Drift Club
  • LaRacer @ Horizon
  • British Racing Green
  • Drift Club 2.0 [Fortune Island]
  • Isha’s Taxis
  • Skill Streak
  • The Car Files
  • Hype Tour [LEGO® Speed Champions]
  • The Top Gear Horizon Special
  • Upgrade Heroes
  • Express Delivery

⠀⠀⌞ Feats

Reaping the Rewards

Complete a race of 3 or more laps at The Goliath in a Forza Edition Car.

As long as you have a Forza Edition car this achievement is fairly simple, if not slightly time consuming.

Firstly, The Goliath is unlocked by reaching Level 20 in the Road Racing Series, however it is recommended to instead open the Menu and navigate to Community Hub > Blueprint Events where you will also be able to race at The Goliath without unlocking it. The Share code below by Mitch Connor is a good blueprint to use for this achievement.

Originally posted by Mitch Connor:

Share Code 104585455

Secondly, you will need a Forza Edition Car, which will be mentioned it the name, and also be marked with a purple & pink border gradient. If you haven’t got any from Wheelspins or other Rewards, then you can find a cheap one to buy at the Auction House. You can use any Forza Edition Car with any bonus.

Tortoise and the Hare

Complete a PvP Showdown Race in an X class and a D class car.

You don’t need to win, just complete the 2 races in any car that meets the Class requirements. Make sure you set up your event as a Showdown Race which is in the Car Class settings when creating a Blueprint.

Hatch Me If You Can

Complete the Festival Drag Strip in a Hot Hatch in under 25 seconds.

You can filter your Garage or Autoshow to only show Hot Hatches, which will list cars eligible for this achievement, keep in mind Retro Hot Hatches do not count. If you already have a car that you think may be fast enough, download a tune for it and then complete the Drag Strip, otherwise I recommend the Audi S1. 25 seconds is a fairly forgiving time for most Hot Hatches in the game.

For this achievement you can not use a Blueprint.

Record Breaker

Get 258mph on a Speed Trap in the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The best trap for this achievement is M68 on the highway, you need to reach 258mph (415.2kmh) which should be fairly easy using the “Top Speed” tune by creator “Maka91”. Make sure you are using the 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and you should have little issue.

Ground Force

Get 3 stars at a Danger Sign in a vehicle from the Trucks Car Type.

The best location for this achievement is Ambleside Edge (Left of the Festival Hub). A recommended car setup is the Mercedes Benz #24 TANKPOOL24 Racing Truck using the “Danger Sign” tune by creator “Maka91”.

Coronation Trickin’

Bank a Skill Chain of 195,300 or more points.

This is attainable in any half decent car with Traction Control & Stability Control turned off. You can upgrade your Max Multiplier however the default 5.0x is more than enough as long as you are careful not to hit any solid obstacles & maintain skills so your combo doesn’t break. A quick E-Drift can be very useful here to extend your combo if it’s about to end.

Find an open area to quickly build up your combo, aiming for Wreckage, Kangaroo & Drift Skills, with a 5.0x multiplier you will want to hit 40,000 Points and then stop. Once you bank the points (by ending a chain) the achievement will unlock.

East of Bamburgh Castle is an area with lot of dunes, bushes & fences if you need a place to earn this.

Never Tell Me the Odds

Win a race in the Peel P50.

The Peel P50 is a Summer Barn Find, however you may also be able to find it in the Auction House.

Creator “EchelonSix” has some Drag Tuning Setups you can apply to your car, which should make it capable of a win at the Festival Drag Strip.

Tame the Monster

Complete a race in an S1 class Rally Monster.

You can filter your Garage or Autoshow to only show Rally Monsters, select your favourite and upgrade it to S1 Class if it isn’t already and then complete any race using it. As always a quick event to complete is the Festival Drag Strip.

Fortune Island

Seek Your Fortune

Seek your fortune in the most treacherous Horizon expansion yet, where you will conquer extreme terrain, lightning storms, and perilous roads in search of hidden treasure. Embark on a new campaign, solve Treasure Hunt riddles, and carve your own path in new Trailblazer PR Stunts. Tackle the island’s twisting mountain switchbacks, ocean cliffside roads and rough terrain on your journey to earn 24 additional achievements.

[link]

⠀⠀⌞ Island Conqueror

Welcome to Fortune Island

Set up the Horizon Festival on Fortune Island.

Travel to the Fortune Island Marker on your map (located just south of Bamburgh Castle on the East Coast) to embark on your Adventure. After a cutscene & short drive the achievement will unlock when you arrive at the Dock, your new Horizon Festival Location!

Made the Cut

Reach Round Two of the Island Conqueror.

After completing the intro race it won’t take long to reach round 2, completing the first 5 races or so should earn you enough influence to qualify. Another way to quickly earn influence is hunting down Influence Boards around the Island, which are very easy to find if you have the Treasure Map.

Top 50%

Reach Round Five of the Island Conqueror.

Continue competing in races & competing in PR Stunts to earn enough influence to reach round 5.

The Final Twelve

Reach Round Ten of the Island Conqueror.

Round Ten is the final round, requiring 168,000 Influence. It is estimated to take approximately 3-4 hours to reach this point. Once qualifying for round 10 you unlock The Leviathan and The Kraken Events.

The Island Conqueror!

Come First in the Fortune Island Finale Races – The Leviathan and The Kraken.
These are the two events unlocked when you reach round 10. You need to finish both races in first place. Blueprints can also be used here to make this achievement a little easier.

⠀⠀⌞ Race Events

Leviathan Slayer

Complete The Leviathan in less than 8 minutes in the Ford Fiesta ST RX43.

The Manufacturer for this car is listed as Hoonigan instead of Ford, and the exact model you need is called Gymkhana 8 Ford Fiesta ST RX43 2015 Hoonigan.

Downloading a good tune for this car should make the target manageable, remember to rewind so you can fix any mistakes and save time wherever possible.

Better get Kraken

Complete The Kraken in less than 6 minutes in the Saleen S5S Raptor.

The Saleen S5S is unlocked after finding & smashing Treasure Chest #8. Install a custom tune & you should be able to comfortable beat the target time. Recommended tune creators include Maka91 or Don Joewon Song.

There are only 63 roads on Fortune Island, with the map layout also making it much simpler to spot any small areas you may have missed. If you’re missing any be sure to zoom in on the map to spot any grey areas, the roads you have already explored will be a solid white or red.

Ideally you will want to have Fast Travel Anywhere unlocked, and also all Fast Travel Boards destroyed to save time (& money).

There are only 5 Speed Zones on Fortune Island, using a fast car you’re comfortable with should make it fairly easy to obtain 3 Stars on all of them. General tips include approaching the Zone at speed, and avoiding drifts on corners. Remember to rewind so you can fine tune your approach perfectly. Refer to the video above if you need help.

Refer to the guide below for an achievement unlocked at the Lady Of The Lake Speed Trap.

The target speed is 180mph (289.682kmh).

⠀⠀⌞ Trailblazing

The 1962 Peel P50 is a Summer Exclusive Barn Find, however if you don’t have it yet it can also be bought from the Auction House.

The achievement isn’t too difficult and you should be able to earn it buy Auto-Upgrading it an A or S1 Class Vehicle.

The Forest Run Trailblazer Gate is unlocked in Round 6 of the Island Conquerer.

Get a time of 40 seconds or better in the Exomotive Exocet at the Halcyon Point Trailblazer Gate.

The Exomotive Exocet can be bought in the Auto Show, if you haven’t already you should be able to buy one for free as it is included in the DLC.

Recommended upgrades include Rally Parts & an AWD Conversion to manage the terrain. While at the Gate keeping towards the right will allow you to avoid the more difficult terrain.

The Halcyon Point Trailblazer Gate is unlocked in Round 4 of the Island Conquerer.

⠀⠀⌞ Drifting

Drift Club Island

Earn 21 Stars in Drift Club on Fortune Island.

This achievement is much easier than the Base Game and there are only 7 events. The Formula Drift Cars are a good car choice for this, otherwise 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata or 2015 Ultima Evo Coupe 1020 with a downloaded drift tune by creator “Spilner” work well. All of them can be completed just by staying in 3rd Gear and maintaining fairly safe drifts.

Recommended difficulty settings include:

  • Assists Off (Traction, Stability & ABS)
  • Manual Transmission
  • Rewind ON

Stage 6
450,000 Points
The timer here is quite quick, so make sure to be doing fast drifts.

LEGO® Valley Tour

Complete all ‘Discovery’ Brick Challenges.

These challenges are fairly straightforward. Complete them all to earn the achievement.
If you are struggling with the “Bowler Hat Trick” Challenge, the vehicle you need to use is called “Bowler EXR S”.

Wyldstyle

Complete all ‘Skill’ Brick Challenges.

Earned by completing a variety of different skills, fairly straightforward but I’ll list some tips below. Don’t forget to track challenges you are attempting so you can quickly see your progress, and be sure to use the correct vehicle if the challenge requires it.

Show Off Skills
Earned by passing another driver while drifting.

Drafting
Earned by driving behind another driver for a long period of time.

Trading Paint
Knock against another driver without hitting them too hard. Don’t attempt this in oncoming traffic.

Threading The Needle
Driving between two cars that have a small gap. The gap for this is fairly forgiving, an easy way if you are struggling would be to follow a car on the road and then accelerate past them as soon as they are about to pass an oncoming car in the other lane.

Gotta Smash Them All

Complete all ‘Smashable’ Brick Challenges.

The ‘Smashable’ Brick Challenges are Orange. They just require you to smash through certain objects around the Valley, while some require you to use a specific vehicle.

⠀⠀⌞ Festival Playlist

A Creature of Habit

Complete all Seasonal Championships in a Festival Playlist Series.

In the Festival Playlist you will have to complete the Seasonal Championships for all 4 seasons, which means you will need to check back across multiple days or weeks. You don’t need to win or earn 3 Stars for this achievement, 1 Star will still count as “Complete”. Keep in mind the seasons resets every Thursday at 10:30 EDT/2:30 PM GMT and a Series is 4 weeks.

Stunt Puller

Complete all Seasonal PR Stunts in a Festival Playlist Series.

In the Festival Playlist you will have to complete all Seasonal PR Stunts for all 4 seasons, which means you will need to check back across multiple days or weeks. To complete the Seasonal PR Stunt you will need to beat it’s additional requirement, which is usually harder than it’s standard 3 star target, you can see this info by hovering over the event on the map. Keep in mind the seasons resets every Thursday at 10:30 EDT/2:30 PM GMT and a Series is 4 weeks.

Cashing In

Earn 1 Season Completion Bonus.

In the Festival Playlist you can see your progress for each Season on the second card in the list. This progress is advanced by completing any of the seasonal events related to that season. You unlock your first reward at 50% so you do not need to complete all events.

Perfectionist

Earn all 8 Season Completion Bonuses in the same Series.

In the Festival Playlist you can see your progress for each Season on the second card in the list. This progress is advanced by completing any of the seasonal events related to that season. You unlock all rewards at 80% so you do not need to complete all events. For this achievement you need to reach 80% completion bonus for 4 consecutive weeks. Keep in mind the seasons resets every Thursday at 10:30 EDT/2:30 PM GMT and a Series is 4 weeks.

Encore?

Complete all activities in a single Festival Playlist Series.

For this achievement you have to complete every single activity across all 4 months in a single series. This includes 7 Daily Challenges every week, which are easy to miss! In the Festival Playlist you can see your progress for the current Series on the first card in the list.

The events you generally need to complete for all 4 weeks in the Series are:

  • 1 Photo Challenge
  • 1 Weekly Challenge
  • 7 Daily Challenges
  • The Trial
  • The Playground Event (Arena)
  • 3 PR Stunts
  • 3 Seasonal Championships
  • Showcase Remix (Not always available. Only required when a Remix is active.)

There is currently a bug in the game where your completed Photo Challenge could become incomplete randomly, if this does happen the achievement will not unlock. I recommend double checking every time you end your game session that you still have it completed, especially during your last play session for each Season.

The Eliminator Update

What is the Eliminator?

“The Eliminator” is an all-new game mode free to all players that brings battle royale to Forza Horizon 4. Up to 72 players face off in the open world of Britain within a set arena boundary, eliminating one another in head-to-head races to earn new upgrades and a chance to pick up rare Car Drops. Arena walls contract throughout the game, forcing players closer together until a final white-knuckle race among the survivors determines the winner.

⠀⠀⌞ Participation

Welcome to The Eliminator

Play your first game of The Eliminator.
You can find The Eliminator event in the Menu. Simply navigate to the Horizon Life tab and select The Eliminator to begin searching for a match.

You will earn the Achievement when you complete the match. You don’t need to win.

Teeth Cut

Play 25 games of The Eliminator.

Simply complete 25 games, win or lose.

If you would like a quick method to achieve this, driving outside of the game boundaries will make you Timeout, eliminating you from the game. Doing this 25 times will earn you the achievement.

Process of Elimination

Play 50 games of The Eliminator.

Simply complete 50 games, win or lose.

If you would like a quick method to achieve this, driving outside of the game boundaries will make you Timeout, eliminating you from the game. Doing this 50 times will earn you the achievement.

The Variator

Drive 10 different cars in The Eliminator.
When playing The Eliminator you can obtain different cars from Car Drops highlighted with purple smoke, or by winning Head-to-Head races. This can be done across multiple games.

You will earn the Achievement when you begin driving your 10th unique car.

Top of the Food Chain

Drive a level 10 car in The Eliminator.

This can be obtained from a Car Drop, however it is extremely rare. Locations with multiple Drop Zones around will increase your chances such as Bamburgh Castle, Mudkickers, Mortimer Gardens or Quarry.

Alternatively, you can work towards this with Head-to-Head Races. It is recommended to find a quick Car Drop to increase your level to 2 (or higher if you’re lucky), and then work on races to level your car as the game progresses. Below is a quick guide on how Car Upgrading works.

⠀⠀⌞ Car Drops

Scavenger

Collect 100 Car Drops in The Eliminator.
Car Drops are marked in the world by 3 purple flares at a location with drones & banners above the point. Approaching this area and interacting with it will provide you with a new car. Do this 100 times throughout the course of multiple games to earn this achievement. They spawn continuously throughout the game and can be taken by other players so you’ll have to be quick & on the lookout to avoid missing out on opportunities.

Some notable places that generally offer multiple Drops include:

  • Mudkickers
  • Mortimer Gardens
  • Quarry
  • Bamburgh Castle

Ransacked

Collect 5 Car Drops within a single game of The Eliminator.
For this you’ll want to ignore & avoid other drivers & focus on finding Car Drops from the start of the match. As the Area closes Car Drops are harder to find, and you run greater risk of being challenged to a Head-to-Head Race, taking away time you could use searching for cars.

Some notable places that generally offer multiple Drops include:

  • Mudkickers
  • Mortimer Gardens
  • Quarry
  • Bamburgh Castle

However, keep in mind you have the entire match to collect all 5, so it may be more worthwhile to stick to more deserted areas and slowly picking up Car Drops as they spawn to avoid being eliminated early by another player.

⠀⠀⌞ Head-to-Head

Head-to-Head Races

When to challenge someone
You can learn a few techniques to help you win a Head-to-Head though! Firstly, there are opportunities to challenge someone while they’re stationary and off-guard. These include situations when a player has just changed car, so they’ve just won a Head-to-Head or have just slowed down at a car drop. These are the situations where you can really get the drop on a player and give yourself a good head start. But, it’s all going to be for nothing if the race forces you to immediately turn around, so Arena and map knowledge is key…

Where the race will finish
Head-to-Head races tend to plot back towards the center of the Area, they should never finish outside the Area so if you’re at the edge and challenge another player the race will likely finish towards the center of the Arena. Use this to your advantage! Don’t get caught driving away from the center of the Arena and then get challenged, you’re more than likely going to have to turn around and lose precious time.

Pro Tip: Avoid challenging players, and being challenged, while driving slowly, the faster you’re already travelling when the race starts the better head start you’ll get.

First Blood

Win a Head-to-Head in The Eliminator.

Approach another player and honk your horn to initiate a Head-to-Head race. For easy wins try to target players with a lower levelled car than yourself. Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races above for more tips on winning.

YOU ARE THE ELIMINATOR

Win 25 Head-to-Heads in The Eliminator.

Approach another player and honk your horn to initiate a Head-to-Head race. For easy wins try to target players with a lower levelled car than yourself. Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races above for more tips on winning.

Head Hunter

Win 3 Head-to-Head races within a single game of The Eliminator.

The best approach for this achievement is to be aggressive. Ideally you will find another player to Head-to-Head race while everyone is still in a Red Mini. Once you win your first Head-to-Head race upgrade your car to Level 2, and try to find another Red Mini to challenge.

Other general tips include avoiding tougher opponents, keeping an eye out for higher level Car Drops around the world, and carefully deciding whether to upgrade your own car or take your defeated opponents car after a race. Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races above for more tips on winning.

Underdog

Eliminate a car at least 5 levels higher than you in a Head-to-Head race.

This achievement will be dependant on both your luck and skill, persistence is key here! Try to take advantage of alternate routes & off-road shortcuts, it is very possible your opponent could lose control or crash before the finish line, giving you an opportunity to catch up even if you were trailing the entire race. Your opponent will need to be Level 6 or higher assuming you are in a Level 1 car. Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races above for more tips on winning.

Bully

Eliminate a car at least 5 levels lower than you in a Head-to-Head race.

This achievement is much easier than it’s twin. The most important strategy here is finding a high level car early and then a low level driver to race against. If you can’t find a suitable Car Drop, remember you can swap or upgrade your ride after winning a Head-to-Head race. Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races above for more tips on winning.

⠀⠀⌞ Victory

The Final Race

Once the Arenas has shrunk to its final size the game waits until the player count reaches 12 or less, at that point Head-to-Head races are disabled and players cannot start a new one. Now the game gets ready for the final race, at which point the Arena is removed and all remaining players are given the same destination to race towards with the first one that winning the Eliminator!

Where the final race will finish
The final race will plot outside of the Arena; remember the Arena is removed when the race starts, so it’s a little harder to guess where the destination will be compared to a Head-to-Head race. But, the final race has a minimum distance of 2km so if the final circle is right at the edge of the map so you know it’s not going to plot outside of the world. You can use this to gain an advantage over other players who might have no idea where the race is going to go.

Pro Tip: The trick here is to be travelling as quickly as possible when the race starts, so if you’re guessing the race will end in a certain direction (let’s say south) travel to the opposite edge (north in this example) of the Arena, away from where you’re gambling the race will start, and then wait out the timer a little. Once you have just enough time left race towards the direction you think the race will end (again, south in this example), you ideally want to time this so that as you reach the edge of the Arena the final race starts and the Arena walls are removed, giving you a huge head start over the other drivers!

Pacifist

Survive until the Final Showdown in a Level 1 car.
This achievement is earned by reaching the Final Showdown in your starting Level 1 Red Mini. Be sure to avoid any car drops, and if you find yourself in a Head-to-Head Race do not upgrade your swap your vehicle, just cancel the reward offer.

The Final Showdown begins after the final Area Circle closes and there are less than 12 drivers left. A countdown will begin and Head-to-Head Races will be disabled, at this point you have safely earned the achievement.

A good strategy to achieve this is to drive around the edge of the Area, moving up only when it shrinks. You’ll also have white arrows around the edge of your minimap, which will indicate nearby players which you should try to avoid. It’s also helpful to know that if you stop moving you disappear off other player’s radars.

Last Car Standing

Win a game of The Eliminator.
To earn this achievement you need to make it to the Final Showdown and then win the Final Race.

Keep in mind, even if you have a low level car you may as well attempt the Final Showdown. If luck is on your side you’ll start with a good position and secure yourself a huge advantage.

Refer to Useful Tips: Head-to-Head Races and also Useful Tips: The Final Race above for more tips on winning.

Heads Up

Win a game of The Eliminator without acquiring any Car Drops.
This achievement is not much more difficult than simply winning a game. Your priority here will be to quickly find & beat opponents in Head-to-Head Races in other to upgrade your car, and hopefully eventually swap your car with something better from a defeated player.

In the month of June 2020, players had the chance to Play, Earn and Donate with Forza Horizon 4, Forza Motorsport 7, and Forza Street as part of the ‘Forza Together’ campaign.

⠀⠀⌞ Homeowner

Stay Home

Purchase the Sunflower Meadows Player House.

The Sunflower Meadows house is near Ambleside and can be purchased for 200,000 CR. It becomes available to purchase after you qualify for Horizon Autumn and are given The Gables home for free.

The house also comes with the Horizon Promo perk, required for two other Achievements.

⠀⠀⌞ Horizon Promo

First Promo-tion

Take your first picture for Horizon Promo.

To unlock Horizon Promo, you must purchase the Sunflower Meadows house. Refer to the guide above for more information.

Once you unlock the Horizon Promo the game will run you through a quick tutorial, which will involve unlocking this achievement. Remember if you are only taking a photo for Promo completion you can press the quick-shot button to save time processing the photos you don’t need.

Picture Perfect

Take photos of 200 different cars for Horizon Promo.

Open Photo Mode and taking a photo of any car will register it in the Horizon Promo, there is more than 200 Cars available in the game so you should be able to reach this fairly consistently with enough effort, especially since any cars you haven’t photographed yey will have a small camera icon above them. Remember if you are only taking a photo for Promo completion you can press the quick-shot button to save time processing the photos you don’t need.

A good way to make progress while you play is to take a photo just after any event begins, you should be able to capture all the cars on the starting grid in one shot and usually score a few unique ones. This can also be boosted further by frequently switching up your own car type and class, which will result in more variety on the starting grid as well.

⠀⠀⌞ Feats

Stay Safe

Get 25 Clean Racing Skills in any A Class Car.

Clean Racing Skills are earned by not bumping other racers, avoiding traffic & generally avoiding any obstacles. Any A Class car will work for this achievement and should unlock fairly quickly with fast & clean driving.

Backbone of Britain

Pass the M68 Speed Trap at 190MPH in the 2011 Ford Transit SSV.

The M68 Speed Trap is on the highway, you need to reach 190mph (305.7kmh) which should be fairly easy using the “Achievement” tune by creator “RYSE Up Eagle”. Make sure you are using the 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan and you should have little issue.

Tunnel Vision

Get 100 Near Miss Skills in any S2 Car.

Near miss skills are earned by passing closely any car at a reasonable speed, it can be earned on flowing traffic or oncoming traffic & an easy place to quickly obtain them is on the main highway by driving along it in any direction. I recommend using a well handling AWD S2 Car and driving in the correct lane.

Reportedly, you will also have more traffic if you play in a Horizon Solo session, meaning you can get Near Miss skills faster & easier.

Get 40 Air Skills in any Offroad Buggy.

The dunes near Bamburgh Castle are perfect to quickly get 40 Air Skills in just a few minutes. You can filter your Garage or Autoshow to only show Buggies but a quick list includes:
