build hotkeys
build something STANDARD, except:
build lumber camp Y: because on german keyboards that is Z between T&U
build monastery O
build wonder UNASSIGNED
build more buildings UNASSIGNED
build stable R: L is too far away from WASD and you need that one often
build palisades Z: very easy to access to make fast quickwalls
build stone wall C: very easy to access to make fast quickwalls
build gate X: very easy to access to make fast quickwalls

create stable units kight V: camel C, scout T are STANDARD
create archery range units are ALL STANDARD: archer A, skirm R, cavarcher C, handcannon E
create barracks units swordsmen D, huskarl T: spear E, eagle G are STANDARD
create castle units are ALL STANDARD: unique unit T, trebuchet R, petard P
create market unit trade cart C: faster with CTRL+C to go to market
create monastery unit monk Z, missionary A
create siege workshop unit scorpion D: ram R, onager A, bombard C

go to mill CTRL+F: fast farm reseeding
go to dock ´/~: next to 1 on german keyboard “^/°” for fast recruit
go to market CTRL+C: faster with trade cart C
go to barracks S: for fast recruit
go to archery range W: for fast recruit
go to stable X: for fast recruit
go to siege workshop Q: for fast recruit
go to castle E: for fast recruit
go to next idle villager TAB: closer to WASD
go to next idle military M & ,: M little closer than , ; press both buttons with RMOUSE on minimap to send all idle military to one spot
go to last notification EXTRA BUTTON 1: important if you get attacked; first extra key on my mouse if you dont have it get a logitech G400s
go to previous view: EXTRA BUTTON 2: to go back if you switched but didnt need to
unit command hotkeys
unit command patrol C: really important to use for attacking and marching into the enemy direction to attack on sight
unit command guard Z: units attack when selected unit gets attack and follow
unit command follow UNASSIGNED: just use guard in the rare case you need this
unit command aggressive UNASSIGNED: i would always prefer defensive, explain why if you think its useful
unit command defensive ALT+Q: i always put units in this stance
unit command stand ground ALT+W: if you have archers and want them not to move (out of range of a ranged building)
unit command no attack: ALT+E for onagers
unit command line A: A+D combo for slpitting easily
unit command flank D: split to edave shots (mostly siege)
unit command staggered F: for less damage from arrows and siege
unit command box UNASSIGNED: im not sure when this is useful to protect siege?
minimap mode hotkeys
minimap mode normal ALT+Z: to set back to normal
minimap mode economic ALT+C: to see how many vils you have on what and where
minimap mode combat ALT+X: to see where your military units are
other hotkeys
set gather point Y: to get animals with villagers out of the tc
unload/ungarrison G: same as load for fast&easy transport
town center H:
ring town bell ALT+B use garrison instead of town bell
villager C is STANDARD
go back to work F: closer to WASD than STANDARD L, use it for villagers to get to what they were doing before the garrison
diplomacy F2: to send resources
display technology tree F5: if you need to look what unit you can build or what technology you can research
pause game STANDARD: F3 to pause the game
statistics F4: STANDARD because it is used by Spectator Dashboard to toggle overviews
toggle friend or foe colors F6: in team games you may get confused about colors of enemy and ally / minimap easier to use
objectives F7: because barely used but if you need to view the map and map settings it has a shortcut
chat dialog F1: see what civ the teams have
save game F8: save the game
save chapter STANDARD: F9 save chapter point where you can jump to for the replay
display game time STANDARD F11: because it is used by Spectator Dashboard to enable/disable
flare STANDARD: ALT+F to show your teammates spots on the map
down & up game speed STANDARD: +/- to toggle game speed ingame and to toggle players while spectating
delete units STANDARD: DELETE if pop is full you can delete useless units for example villagers in late game if you have a lot of resources
garrison STANDARD: G next to ungarrison F, used to hide units quickly from fight
stop Alt+S: if you want to overall stop units from doing something
trbuchet unpack/pack T/R: T if enemy you want to shoot at is still out of range to right click/R for fast packing if enemy army is rushing to your trebs to kill them
attack ground STANDARD: G to shoot for yourself against moving units
build STANDARD: B for building everything, V military building – military building needed for outpost
repair STANDARD: R for ram rapair
monk hotkeys are useless
