How to play Shock Trooper
Intro
Hi! I’m Squishy, and today I will show u how to git r33l gud with my favorite character, the Shock Trooper! This starts all the way from the gameplay basics to the advanced tactics! So, are you ready? Alrighty then, let’s get to learning!
Basics and Shock Trooper Knowledge.
Okay, before we start, I have to give u the lowdown of Shock Trooper’s stats and abilities.
* He has 220 HP, and also only has 1 weapon, so keep note of that when in game.
Now with stats out of the way, I will tell u his abilities.
* He has 2 primary abilities, which his gun is a taser, so he gets: Shockwave, a powerful shotgun variant-esque like surge of electricity that can REALLY do some damage up-close, as he is a short-range powerhouse of quick damage in just 1-2 shocks. His 2nd ability is: Thunder Bomb, (I haven’t seen many Shock troopers use it recently as of this time I got the game), but this unstable electrical bomb can really pull off a good damaging retreat if u are low on HP, as it launches your enemies far back a decent distance away from you.
Now the next one is REALLY useful, so take this one ability seriously.
* He has a invuln power that is called Phase Shift, that places Shockie in a nice little “can’t touch me” bubble, and it can really save ur arse pretty well from Cannoneer’s ult, heck, even all ults and Engi’s (Engineer) sentries! Even Bomb Frenzies or Hunter Seekers! (hopefully on seekers they do, they should 100%) But wait till I get to the ADVANCED tactics, as I have a neat little trick for u Shockie Troopa mains that might help when u want to get an easy kill chain quickly with this ability!
Ultimates and Advanced Tactics and Tips
As most of you know, the classes carry two ults for teamplay and/or clearing points with ease. But, take note as u can only pick one before heading out into the warzone. Shockie here has two ults, so let’s get down to buisness on these two.
Jaunt
His ults are in this section, and also MEGA useful for point clearing.
His first one is a personal TP that moves him from his last location to a new location on the field, and here’s the cool catch, the TP leaves behind a massive AOE bomb that can kill most ants quickly, but watch out: if you are in the range, u will die instantly or get on low HP.
His next ult is a TP for his team that can really be useful putting pressure on the point for the enemy team, and can be good for sneaky flanks also.
Now onto some tricks and more tips on Shock Trooper.
* REMEMBER THIS! The Shock Trooper’s Shockwave shoots in a cone, and that is really important, as that can cover easy narrow passageways or diggable tunnels. Easy kills.
When you want to use the personal TP ult for easy kills, just know that like I said before, you can die, but you know your W ability? Press that button and u will be invuln to that ult and u can watch as all the pretty little blood pellets fall to the floor and u laugh at the enemy team’s failure to avoid such a powerful ult.
*Keep Jumping. This is ALWAYS useful, as it makes u less predictable on when to time hits and aim at the right sweet spot. It’s also sick to get a cool jumpshot on an enemy now and then.
