How to actually drive a omsi bus [WIP]

Overview

People havent actually made a good guide of how to drive a omsi bus, so heres one thats good! Currently being updated by bananaGranny.

The basics

Here is how to start and drive the bus
For derp useage, lol
Step one
Insert the key or click E.
It should look like one of those pictures,

What you have done is unlocked all the controls!, if you hear a little tune when inserting the key, that means you’ve turned on the electronics as well! If you didnt, you can press a button near the ignition buttons next to the key

Oh and derp, hold the ignition button near the key, next to or above, or click M. There is also a button to turn off the engine! But you wont need that for a while.

Wait a second there, we havent even known how to drive yet!
First, put your gear to 3 or d or press the button d or 2 or 1 for gears.
Now like other games you suspect you use the wasd keys to move your bus, or hold s for reverse, but haha its nothing like that, but i changed my controls so it is! except from that reverse part, if you want to reverse press the r button on the gears, but first if you already have a gear selected you need to press n for neutral. And finnaly turn off your handbrake, or press . if you dont know where it is, but i have a picture of it so yeah :3

Now you just press Num 8 for the throttle (forwards) Num 2 for brake Num 4 to turn left and Num 6 to turn right. If your using a keyboard, be warned the steering sensitivity is sooo high, jesus christ! I use mouse controls though.

Remember to keep the speed limit and drive safe!

Heating

So you want your passengers to keep warm huh?
If you wanted them to keep cool (no not the mlg kind jfc)
Then sorry, i havent figured it out yet, trust me i tried using the window!

Anyway, lets learn about the heating!

If its a cold day and your passengers are feeling misrable because its cold and your driving like a maniac, dont worry! we can take away 25% of that misrableness! (or more if you can drive!)

Here is the supportive heater boiler thingy, that does something, maybe speeds up the process of warming up?

Ah floop it, onto the next step.
Lets just look at my heating setup on a winter day

Oh no! the passengers are cold!.
Lets just turn up the heat, and fan speed.

Thats better, i think it should go up soon.
Just set it up like i did! Ill get more pictures on other trucks just incase you want! But trust me im just using the 1st truck in the list!, with a modern paintjob! no mods!

Sorry about the lack of stuff here, just you know, keep your passengers happy with the heating and stuff! 😀

Heres my setup

Sorry but this was the only picture i had!
btw the look to the right of the reverse button and you see a wheel! just like in your mouse! (middle mouse button)
that controls fan speed, so put it to max until the fans are hearable.

You and your vision

Like most simulators, hold right click for superhero zoom vision!
Well, whatever.

Is the sun blinding you? Are you causing a wreck?
No problem with the new, Sun Blocker 2000!

With old coffee stains that was dribbling off the item, the Sun Blocker 2000!
Yeah! *ahem* Anyway, pull it down to the suns height, and no more! The sun has dissapeared from your vision, keep on driving safe!, whats that? you cant put it up?! Nooooooooooooooooo
No worries, it comes with a stick that can pull it up for you!, just hold it down and it will pull it up for you, no problemo!, its like right next to the sun blocker 2000, the string with some plastic on the end, nope thats the winshield wipers, thats under too you know!, speaking of winshield wipers!

Is the rain ruining your window so you cant see? fear no more with the windshield wipers!
Simply just twist to the cylinder for the desired windshield wiper speed!

Is it pitch black outside? Are you afraid of getting fined for not having your headlight on? do YOU have to use other peoples lights to see? And also give people flashlights in your bus? Fear no more with the light controls!!.

Remember the insert key thing? Don’t pull it out, make sure you have your electronics, anyway back to the key, Twist it to the desired lighting outside to see! No more needing to steal peoples lights and get fined and also be stealthy! Or use shift + L for parking lights or L for low beam (i think) and f for high beam.
Or use the keys 6 to 8 or 5 to 9 not from the numberpad!

But do you still have to give people flashlights? no worries! use these simple lighting buttons! The one to the left of the 3 buttons controls your cockpit light or passenger light, no more needing flashlights to people! and also the next button to the one i mentioned does the same thing! well each do diffrent but i dont remember which one does which. and the 3rd light controls the upstairs lights! or back lights, if you have a double decker or a bus part strapped to your back.

Setting up a job

So, do you want some sweet OMSI money? i will show you how!

First, on the left bottom corner, there should be a a window with some buttons, click on the button I circled in blue.
When you click that button it should open another window, click on the Line box, and choose a line, same for tour. Now for trip, move the arrow to a time, make sure that the start stop starts later than the current time. When you are done, it should look something like this. (you can have different info than I have)
Now, click ok, and WOAH a piece of paper will appear to the left of you or to the top of you. This shows what stops you stop on and your ending stop, line number, and tour. Go back to the window in the bottom right and click on the button I circled.
A window should pop up with boxes saying, line and terminus, head to your piece of paper and put the the info on the top of the paper, with the line number and the end stop. Put the line number in line (duh) ;p. Then, put the bus stop next to the line number in the terminus box.
Now, you are ready to drive, make sure to stay on time and obey the law. 🙂

Lets learn about bus doors! Yaaaay
Ok, seriosley though lets go.

If you already have the knowledge to board passengers in then your in luck!
When a person wants to exit the vechile, you will see this light flash up! This means you should stop at the next bus stop to your route, and then press either these 3 buttons

It depends on which bus your using! Oh and the 3rd picture is a knob (the thing under the fan speed!)

But if your looking to see how to get people in your bus then your in luck!

Simply click on the black button under the knob that opens the back doors to exit people out, or under the reverse gear
Now it should go up and you have unlocked the front door controls
Now press the 2 red buttons together or press Num / and Num * < on number pad!!
