Death Road to Canada Guide

How to Beat Kepa Mode! for Death Road to Canada

How to Beat Kepa Mode!

Overview

As you may know, K.E.P.A mode is the hardest mode of the game, starting with the double of zombies and a secondary objective of getting to canada with KEPA, which has terrible personality stats and one hp (like a berserk). Many have tried, many have failed, but today i will teach you the best way to get to canada with Kepa Alive! I will be showing some tips on which traits are good to start with, tips to getting more food and gas and even how to start with a full team of 4!

Best starting traits and perks

To start off, you will need characters with useful traits perks.

Bad traits and perks:
-Friend of Dog
While it is kinda useful for getting an extra recruit, it is not recommended, as you will need a lot of people with a lot of guns and ammo, and dogs can’t shoot.
-Civilized
A great trait, but really bad when you have kepa and want him to steal people’s stuff for extra resources.
-Health care
While it is useful, its better not to start with it, as there are better perks that can be used.

Good traits and perks:
-Paranoid
Can identify if someone is lying about their abilities or if they have good stats. Can also solve almost every bandit attack without losing anything.
-Gun Collector
Starts with 3 guns at maximum level and some ammo, +1 shooting.
-Car Nut
Start with a better car, +3 mechanical
-Oblivious
Can solve some bandit attacks, low morale is not that much of a problem.

You can have any combinations with the above for some combos, but i’m not going to cover that in this guide.

Some strategies for getting resources

-With Kepa, always try to tell people to ‘Cool It’, as it will increase his “Cool It Counter”, the more ‘Cool It’s you say, the more ‘Cool It’ points you will get. When Kepa gets the option to say “COOL IT!!!”, that means something good will happen when you say it, with bandits, they will offer to train some certain stat or to give you some resources, like rescued survivors. With traders, they will either give a heavy training on certain stat (like the bodybuilder) or give a lot of resources, like the ammo salesman. BUT BE CAREFUL! telling people to cool it will always result in a penalty! be sure to say cool it only to certain traders, as some might even kill Kepa! the only one that i know that hurts your group is the chainsaw girl.

-With Kepa(again), try your best to steal traders and survivors. Its not recommended to rob traders, as most will hurt your group and kill Kepa, here are some examples of traders that don’t hurt your team:
-Anime Salesman
-Food for gas trader
-Medicine Salesman

-Always have Kepa rest during scavenging missions, it’s pretty easy for him to die because of the zombie quantity.

Extra Resources/Recruits!

Did you know you can start the game with a full team of 4 or with an extra amount of food/gas?
here’s how you can do it!

Extra recruits:
-Santa/Evil Santa
*Change your pc date to december 24 or 25.
*start a new game
*the first event you will get will be the appearence of santa! he will ask if you have been naughty or nice.
*Saying nice will reward you with +5 food, saying you have been naughty will reward you with +50 gas, Kepa will have an extra option, telling santa to PISS OFF! this will turn him into evil santa.
*No matter what you will do, Santa will always join.

-Turkey
*change your pc date to november 24, 2016.
*start a new game
*the first event will be the appearence of a turkey. You can eat him or spare him.
*eating him will reward you with +8 food
*sparing him will make him think a character in your group is his mom, he will join.

If all those tips fail, use my Plan B!

what’s my Plan B, you ask? well, it’s simple. You can CHEAT!
this easy way of fixing any problems during scavenging missions is so easy you won’t need to do anything! Here’s how you do it.

-If a important chracter dies, just close the game! press that red X button and BAM! you can now retry certain mission or Siege.

But, with all those tips i gave you, cheating might not be necessary!

You can help expand this guide by giving tips of your own or estrategies for certain characters or perks! (if you help, your name will be on the guide’s special thanks, which doesn’t exist for now.)
